I've always loved sound blasters
Pros: awesome stereo sound!
Cons: sounds bad, may be too awesome for my speakers, I was able to tweak the equalizer on sound blaster and windows media player to make it sound really good, but it's very obvious that I need to upgrade my speakers. AWESOME!!! (oops) this is not a con sorry!
Refurbished not new
Pros: none
Cons: Refurbished not new as advertised, stopped working after a few days
Overall Review: Refurbished not new as advertised, stopped working after a few days, don't appreciate items sold as new then turn out to be refurbished, only to stop working after a few days
low quality components
Pros: worked ok for a couple of days
Cons: the card is temperamental and the usb port component just didn't work
Overall Review: bad! defective usb ports, the card works ok, when it wants to, the 4 port component was defective, did not return because it's too much of a pain in the rear for only 35.00. (I think they like it that way) maybe the next one will work! LOL!
My ryzen 2600x may be defective? / UPDATE! the issue was the motherboard not the CPU
Pros: great! for multitasking, moderate streaming and gaming
Cons: It work great for about a week, but after loading some games and programs the temp. spikes began, every 5 to 8 seconds the cpu temp. spikes up about 10 degrees to 37c or 40c, then it goes down to about 27c, and then the process begins again. Sometimes during the spikes, my internet gets choppy or my games freeze. It's annoying to hear your fan speeds go up and down all day every 5 to 8 seconds, AMD tried to help but their instructions are complicated and call for messing with the bios. I don't want to do that!, so I set the bios to default setting and that still didn't fix the problem. I've noticed on forums and the internet, that it seems to be a common issue with ryzen processors, I have an asus prime x470 pro MB, ryzen 2600x cpu, evga 1060 6gb gpu, my drive c: is a samsung 970 pro M.2 NVME, and my power supply is an evga super nova 850 G2, and all the updates, chipset, bios, and also NVME update, and with all that I was hoping for a slightly fast computer , but nah, it's pretty slow, or maybe it's windows 10?
Overall Review: I would still recommend these processors, their awesome when they work right, I probably got a bad one. / This is an UPDATE! I switched the MB bios from normal to performance, and it seems to have stabilized my pc, no more temp. spikes (yay it's party time!)
great seller!, shipping needs work
could use a little work on shipping, ditch Ups and Fed ex their horrible!, they don't inform you when the package arrives they just drop it off and leave, U.S.P.S. always rings the bell or beeps you to let you know there's a package on your porch. One package Ups informed me that it was delivered to a person named Mike in lakeside Calif. My name is Javier and I live in San Diego Calif. made me file a false not delivered claim with Newegg, then the package arrived the next day, what a mess!, please! stick with U.S.P.S.!!!, and also sometimes the items are packaged great with good protection, and sometimes their packaged poorly with little protection. A word to the wise
