Hitachi GST Travelstar 7K100 HTS721060G9AT00 (0A25022) 60GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 / ATA-6 2.5" Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Very, very nice drive. Runs really fast, quiet and cool. Replaced my 2-years-old PowerBook G4 original drive, which was a Hitachi 4200RPM 2MB Cache. Excellent battery consumption. Battery last over 3 hours on a single charge. This drive makes the machine runs as it should have run in the first place.

Cons: NONE

Overall Review: No machine should come with anything less of a 7200 RPM HD.

Most Critical Review

Could have been designed better!

Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000
Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000

Pros: Good weight, comfortable and nice looking.

Cons: I bought this for my laptop, since I don't get along with small mice. Nonetheless, I changed it to my desktop thanks to the receiver. The receiver is bulky and the fact that it needs to be at the same level of the mouse is annoying. In fact the pointer is anything but smooth if the receiver is not in level with the mouse. If you need a wireless mouse go find one with a good receiver.

Overall Review: This mouse is symetrical, which makes only one of the side buttons (the one under your thumb) easy tu push. The button under the not-your-thumb finger is a hassle to push.

Cheap case

Linkworld 435-10 C2228 Black & Silver Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 430W Power Supply
Linkworld 435-10 C2228 Black & Silver Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 430W Power Supply

Pros: Cheap. Good looks for price. Comes with power supply and rear fan. Has enough space inside for average computer components.

Cons: The expansion cards sockets. Expansion cards are not held to the case with screws but are supposed to be held in place by a metal piece that is secured by 2 screws. Well, the metal piece doesn't secure anything and the cards float inside the case, hold only by the sockets of the motherboard, as was the case with my video card. To set the card fixed I had to lose one of the screws in the face of the card, bent a little ear in the "holder" piece, insert that ear between the face of the card and the card itself, screw the "holder" piece to the case and then tighten the screw in the card's face back. Pretty annoying don't you think!!!

Overall Review: USB ports in the front are flimsy. I don't recommend this case.

Good Keyboard

Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000
Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000

Pros: Slim and comfortable keyboard. Keys are smooth to press and noiseless. Contains several application keys, including one for bringing the calculator up. I found this one the most useful.

Cons: NONE
