Great value for the price!

Overall Review: This rig is a great value for the price and couldn't be built for that much cheaper than this from separate parts...the graphics card alone is worth around $500. Love the RGB button for the LEDs, which look great. Everything is very high quality, and very well put together. I've built quite a few PCs, and this is was built nicely and neatly. It was a bit of a pain to install my 8TB hdd (bought separately) because the cabling is VERY tight, but I won't deduct a star for that.

Don't bother

PNY XLR8 GeForce GTX 465 (Fermi) 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card RVCGGTX465XXB

Pros: None.

Cons: Received blue PCB. Aside from that, the fan sounded like a wind tunnel. I did some benchmarking/testing and the card actually performed WORSE than my current HD4870 1GB, which is nearly whisper quiet in comparison by the way.

Overall Review: Even if this was unlockable to a GTX 465, I don't think I would have been at all impressed. I think a lot of people that are blown away by this card are just coming from VERY underpowered video cards, so nearly anything mediocre is going to seem like a giant leap forward in performance. I'll wait for the HD 7000 series... until then nothing will seem like a big enough leap in performance to even justify upgrading.

Great cables.

OKGEAR 24" SATA 6 Gbps Cable, Straight to Right Angle W/ Metal Latch, Silver, Backward Compatible 3 Gbps and 1.5 Gbps

Pros: These work just as good as more expensive SATA cables...don't waste your money. Latches are literally a must-have on all your SATA cables, since they have a tendency to come loose from HDs easily.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Newegg is awesome.

Awesome GPU

HIS Radeon HD 4870 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card H487Q1GH

Pros: After 10 years, I've jumped on the ATI wagon, for one simple reason - price:performance ratio. You can look up all the benchmarks you'd like - this beast performs *very* similarly to the GTX 260 core 216 and even keeps up with the GTX 280 in some cases. That said, the decision to get this card was obvious, considering I'm getting about the same performance for ~$60 less than the GTX 260, and over $100 less than the GTX 280.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: The fan on this monster is very quiet... it's about the same noise level as my ancient 7950GT, which had a TINY fan. ** For resource-hogging games and ultra/extreme settings, I'd recommend having at least 4GB of RAM. I'm one of the stubborn people that refuses to move up to a 64-bit OS because I don't want to deal with the driver related headaches; unfortunately, Win 7 32-bit only recognizes 2.75GB max, so my PC has a little difficulty keeping up with certain games on all maxed out settings during intense battles, despite the 1 GB of vRAM. Even with my quad-core CPU helping it along, the lack of RAM is an unfortunate bottleneck. So basically I'm saying don't blame this GPU if you have under 4GB of RAM, or an underwhelming CPU and you're having some slight performance issues. I have friends with the same exact GPU, with similar CPUs to mine, but they have 4GB+ of RAM, and they have absolutely no problems with maxed out settings on any game.

Antec 902 = Amazing.

Antec Nine Hundred Two Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Antec Nine Hundred Two Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This is easily the best case I've ever owned, and I've been through quite a few. I've knocked off over 5 degrees on my GPU, CPU, and I know it's not that important, but all 3 of my HD temps came down substantially. Let's not forget to mention, the thing is dead sexy. I really don't understand why people are saying the cable management is just "ok". After transplanting everything from my old case, I was able to hide literally *ALL* cables in the space behind the motherboard, all in a fairly short amount of time. I'd say the cable management is pretty adequate, at the very least. Some other silly gripes people have made: the HDD LED is definitely NOT dim or barely noticeable; on the contrary it's actually quite bright and easily noticeable. It's pretty small too, which is a welcomed change from some of those gaudy, huge HDD/power LEDs on some cases. And I LOL @ anyone who complains about having no power LED. If you don't know your PC is on, you have some issues.

Cons: Absolutely none.

Overall Review: Last gripe a lot of people are making - the headphone jack has a lot of static. It's only noticeable when there's absolutely no sound or music playing - why even have your headphones on if you're not playing a game or listening to music? And I'm GLAD the headphone/mic aren't labeled - it has a neater look without labels all over the place. I don't even have to explain how easy it is to test which jack is which. Come on people... Lastly, Newegg ALWAYS has the best prices. This case was at least $20 more on every other site/store I checked, and about $50 more on Antec's site!! And shipping is always lightning fast - I got it in ONE day, despite the "3 day shipping". Overall, 10 eggs!

Perfect.

Pros: A great optical mouse for general-purpose use. You really can't beat the price... it works perfectly, and of course was recognized by Windows immediately.

Cons: None.
