Pros: Replaced my 40 GB 4200 rpm HD with this one. Runs quieter, faster bootup, partion restore very fast. Acronics restore for my D partition 12.4 GB located on a WD Passport drive was suppose to take 1 Hr 48 min. initially. It completed with verify in 22 min. Ordered late last Monday night received on Thursday. NewEgg rocks. Thanks for a great upgrade to keep this Laptop a few more years.

Cons: Hard Drive, None So far Do NOT Expect any. Getting a good backup of the old drive before attempting the drive swap, That was a challenge 7 CDs for C partition and 13 CDs for D parition. CD 4 was always corrupt, Passport was the only thing that worked.

Overall Review: Information on replacing the HD is hard to come by. For this particular model. One philips screw on underside behind the DVD/CD-ROM Combo Drive. Pull out the CD/DVD combo and the HD is displayed, under the DVD/CD-ROM Combo. Take off 4 screws holding drive caddy to base. Replace the exisiting 40GB HD in caddy with this 100GB one. Replace the DVD/CDROM drive and enjoy your new HD.
