Using for 2+ years - Great Quality & Value
Pros: Excellent speed, typically 3x faster in 'real life application' to that of a "traditional" 7200 rpm HDD. After trying several 'pure' SSDs (different brands) over the years and having many of them fail numerous times; I will no longer use a SSD as the sole hard drive for a system. But of the 30+ drives purchased and put into customer and my own systems over a 2 year period of time; I have NOT HAD A SINGLE FAILURE YET! I am completely sold on the dependability, speed, and value of these drives. Do yourself a favor and upgrade your laptop with a SSHD.
Cons: The only problem I have ever encountered, is not really a con but a design complication created by PC manufacturers: These drives are on many occasions thinner (they are standard width and length, just shorter in height) than older style drives; so if the computer manufacturer designed their laptop for a thicker drive, it can cause a complication of padding the thinner drive to fit in the larger space. Again, this is the PC manufacturer's design flaw, and not Seagate's for making larger capacity drives that are thinner and lighter.
Overall Review: I own an I.T. company and we have been using the solid state hybrid technology drives since they were first created and marketed by Seagate in early 2013 and so far, they are still the best in the market.
Poorly supported lemon of a router...
Pros: Great set of features. Easy to navigate interface.
Cons: Multiple failed units within 2-4 months after installation. Extremely poor service/communication from TP-Link support TP-Link delaying/refusing to replace or exchange the units.
Overall Review: My company (IT support) have used and recommended TP-Link products to our customers for 8+ years and have used their routers with good success. However, the 6th version of this router is an absolute piece of junk. We have had 2 in a row start failing within a few months of installation. TP-Link support is one of the worst (and that's saying a lot, since we deal with a lot of support depts. for a living). Communication is near non-existent, after a half hour phone conversation (struggling to communicate with someone who doesn't understand/speak English very well) and then several emails exchanges over 5+ weeks (taking multiple emails in order to get a response from different random staff who start the process over again). We are going to be switching to a different company for networking products for our customers.
They Worked.
Pros: They Worked.
Cons: Wrong Cpu. We ordered the I5-7500s and received I5-6500s. Spoke to the support and got a replacement for the 3 we had. They arrived today and had I5 6500s in them. ended up keeping them because we could not be down 3 PC any longer.
Overall Review: Wrong Cpus replaced with Wrong Cpus We will not be buying from this seller again.
Stylus doesn't work with any devices.
Pros: Nice metal design.
Cons: The stylus does not work with any touchscreen (and yes, it is charged and turned on). I have tried it with our touch CC terminal, Samsung phone, and other devices in my office. None work (does not register the stylus touching at all). The tip is sharp plastic and doesn't look like the one shown on the product page.
Overall Review: The product page claims: "This stylus pen supports All models Tablets and Mobile phones except the newest version of pad air and the resistance screen." But this is incorrect, it doesn't work with any touchscreen as far as I can tell.
Rusted out
Pros: Decent system and excellent price. Boots up.
Cons: I purchase multiple refurbished systems from NewEgg and their re-sellers, to have on hand in case one of my customers needs a replacement system. When I opened this system up to use it a month after purchasing, I was surprised to find almost the entire metal surface of the case (and any non-stainless or galvanized metal) corroded and covered in rust! The surface of some of the cables pitted and rough too. Almost like someone cleaned the case with a pressure washer!
Overall Review: My fault for not checking the system when I received it, since now it is past warranty. The company (Surplus Products) selling these had good reviews, so I thought I could trust their quality. But I am sorely disappointed. I can't sell this system to a customer because I can't trust the quality and durability.
