Adequately good
Pros: Quiet 120mm fan, fair price after rebate, sponge air filters
Cons: Fan only has 3 pins, somewhat flimsy panels, poor quality control, mail-in rebate very annoying
Overall Review: I got this case for a fair price after rebate. It did have a couple quality control related defects, but not worth the trouble of returning it. I was surprised how quiet the built-in fan was even at full speed. My Intel DH67GD mobo automatically controls the seed, making it even quieter, although the LED lights don't work at the lower voltages.
Poor quality control
Pros: Good image quality
Cons: Poor manufacturing quality control (dead pixel out of the box), height not adjustable
Overall Review: My monitor came with a defective pixel (stuck on green). There is really no excuse for this other than poor quality control by the company, which is quite disappointing. The picture quality is otherwise pretty nice.
Noisy, otherwise nothing special
Pros: Slightly cheaper than other drives
Cons: Very noisy head movement
Overall Review: I agree with a previous reviewer about the noise. When I first tried installing XP off of an old CD-ROM, the sound was so unusually loud, I thought it was defective! The movement of the head sounded like a floppy disk drive. For some reason it was slightly less noisy when installing XP off a DVD-ROM. Anyway, there is nothing special about this drive other than the low price, but it is not that much lower than drives made by more reputable companies. I would recommend spending a few extra bux on a "better" drive.
No problems
Pros: Good value
Cons: Mail-in rebates are annoying
Overall Review: I don't doubt the other reports of defective memory sticks. However, I got lucky and received a good set. They did fine with the memory tests I ran.
Good and quiet
Pros: Low price, reputable company, quiet, good quality construction, versatile connectors
Cons: Poor quality control (made in China)
Overall Review: I originally received a power supply that made an soft, but loud enough to be annoying, high-pitch squealing sound when the computer was off. I had to exchange the defective unit, but otherwise seems pretty good. I am especially happy that the fan is very quiet--hopefully, it will stay that way.
Works fine
Pros: Excellent price after rebate
Cons: Need to be comfortable opening up computer to install card into a PCI slot
Overall Review: I set this up in my Windows XP system in the basement and it connects fine to my Apple Airport router on the second floor of the house. I disabled the software that came with the card and am just using Windows to manage the connection. It seems to be very reliable. I do get an occasional disconnect/reconnect, but I suspect it is NOT related to the card.
