update to sketchy7/28/2009 3:12:32 PM

Pros: Looked Great.

Cons: Died in just under a year. All but one of the OCZ Power supplies I have purchased before (7 in all) died in under a year.

Overall Review: Response to my first negative review was to set up a claim ticket because they WANTED to replace my power supply. I did and was told I had to provide the old PS's and purchase info and serial numbers. I told them I had junked them because I don't do RMA's as a general rule and that I had only done a claim ticket at they're request. They wouldn't do anything for me after that without a return of the junk I no longer had. In short, I believe they want you to think that they care, but at the end of the day they play the same games everyone else does with lower quality. If you really care about getting a great product buy from a company that makes it right in the first place even if they aren't as willing to do returns so readily. Thermaltake and antec have never let me down once in over 10 years.

Manufacturer Response:
Hello, we appreciate that you filled out a support ticket at our request. OCZ does not require proof of purchase. We do require a serial number, so that we can verify that your unit is still under warranty. We also require the defective part back. We know of no company that will send a replacement without first having your defective unit in hand. Any brand can and will have units that die in the field, it's just a fact of computer life. Our reliability is well within industry standards, and we stand behind our products. Thank you
Best Vista...7/26/2009 10:59:51 PM

Pros: Extended ram and cpu specs for 64 bit. I have had very few problems with newer game compatibility and websites. It is better than the 32 bit OS if you have the hardware to use it.

Cons: It's Vista. VERY annoying when it asks you if your sure all the time, can be turned off but then it bugs you about turning that off so you have to turn off security alerst. In short Vista is designed to drive us crazy.

Overall Review: If you want Vista then this is the one to have. It's still Vista which means it stinks but the speed on 64 bit is much higher depending on your hardware. My best friend has had nothing but trouble with ultimate edition so just get home unless you HAVE to have ultimate.

Great buy7/26/2009 10:50:33 PM

Pros: Backlit keys. looks good. cheap. fairly beatable and the paint still looks good no fading. feels great to type on.

Cons: not free?

Overall Review: The lighting on this is great it's not so bright that it hurts your eyes or distracts you.

Great case!7/26/2009 10:46:56 PM

Pros: The back of the case folds down and the MB tray can even be removed for the easiest installations I've ever done. Makes wiring a snap. Cooling is fantastic on this case as well and I love the fan located right on the graphics card position. There is also a hidden 80mm fan port on the motherboard side that blows directly on your drives.

Cons: The window has a bar on it that has an 80mm fan and the screwless tray that holds it can make it a real pain to use some of the larger cpu fans and graphics cards. The 110mm zalman cpu fan barely clears the space allowed. It does fit though. You will need to buy 1 80mm fan to have all fan slots used and two of the fans are not lighted so if you want all led fans you will have to replace them.

Overall Review: Great buy, plenty of room for most anything and almost everything can be removed and gotten to. I really believe that for the money this case is the most user friendly.

Good buy!7/26/2009 10:34:01 PM

Pros: Does everything it says and has a nice little led on it.

Cons: none for the price.

Overall Review: There's no better way to fill a slot on your case for the money involved and who knows you might even use it :)

it's ok7/26/2009 10:31:20 PM

Pros: Does the basics and seems to work on everything I installed.

Cons: Onboard sound is bad and graphics are weak. Doesn't take full advantage of SLI either, but that was in the specs.

Overall Review: If you want a basic board its fine, but if you want something special this isn't it.

Great game.7/26/2009 10:22:32 PM

Pros: Great game, good graphics and story. extra abilities can be unlocked as you play through so replay ability is high and highly entertaining. multiple endings dependent on choices.

Cons: Game is very glitchy and often kicks me out during gameplay. The story is a bit short though very good. Game requires internet activation and cannot easily be used at other locations i.e. a friends house.

Overall Review: Game would rate higher without online authentication requirement and restrictions on use at other locations, after all isn't it enough that you need the cd to play? Game developers need to figure out that people OWN the games they buy legitimately and should be able to easily use them on as many pc's as they own. I fondly remember the days when you could loan a friend a game without it being the end of the world.

sketchy7/26/2009 10:10:20 PM

Pros: Very nice looking and appears like a quality product.

Cons: This power supply lasted almost a year and because I thought it was a great power supply I purchased several other OCZ power supplies. Only 1 of them lived out the year. This includes several different models including a 1000w which was very expensive comparatively.

Overall Review: I don't do RMA's. It's not worth the time and money to return a product. I prefer to deal with companies (even much more expensive ones) that sell me a good product the first time. OCZ seems to be very good about replacing the stuff they sell, but honoring the warrenty kind of pales in comparison to selling a good product in the first place. Newegg is awesome!

Not good...4/15/2009 7:34:37 PM

Pros: Game seems like it has real potential...good graphics, nice FMV and sound is good.

Cons: The controls are not revamped properly for PC. Game is actually telling me the corresponding buttons for an x-box controller rather than a keyboard. Mouse is all but useless except for changing camera angle and opening a chest. Worse yet this game requires activation through the Steam program and cannot be played or even installed without it! You will not even be able to play this game at all without internet connection and I feel that that is incredibly invasive and wrong.

Overall Review: This game is probably great on x-box or with an x-box controller but the controls really stink on PC. I can't even find the corresponding controls at all. Also, if you like using a laptop be prepared to never be able to play this game without internet and access to your Steam account. I would not have bought this if I had known that.

Great!9/21/2008 10:31:48 AM

Pros: Very good layout. Easy to build and reach everything. Foldout side makes wiring a breeze. Big enough for high end gaming gear. Cooling is very effective and fairly low noise considerations.

Cons: Using front sound ports means always having the door open. Could break the door off if you aren't careful. Power supply stinks in a world where performance gaming gear takes 700W or more.

Overall Review: Sell the Power supply and get a good aftermarket.

Great!!9/21/2008 10:25:18 AM

Pros: Very fast and dependable on vista 64bit OS. Cheaper than the competition and works just as good in my opinion. Leaves the real money for graphics and ram which are the true heroes of the gamer.

Cons: Intel fans will try to rip on you.

Overall Review: Show them your build and price and they shut up fast.

GREAT!!!9/21/2008 10:21:12 AM

Pros: Plenty of power on a quad system with crossfire and all attachements. Great overall presentation with more cables than you SHOULD need.

Cons: cables can be a pain to tie back out of the way after install. they are very long and thick.

Overall Review: I love OCZ stuff. Have had several of there power supplies and I use OCZ reaper memory. Never had a failure or DOA. They also are one of the few who respond when a complaint is made. Good job OCZ.

Works Great!9/21/2008 10:15:09 AM

Pros: Works GREAT! Very cool temps and pretty besides.

Cons: Very hard to install due to extreme size and the clip system they use was frustrating in an unholy way. Very hard to figure out proper placement on the cpu. Also had to readjust case fan to make room.

Overall Review: Make sure the fan points to the front of the case so the exhaust blows out the rear. This fan is very tall and might get in the way of ram on some boards. I used a smilodon case from raidmax.

Not good.9/21/2008 10:03:56 AM

Pros: works.

Cons: came in an unmarked, crushed box. looked like the warehouse guy sat on it. It was loose and sliding around in an oversized box with nothing to protect it and it was BEAT!

Overall Review: The shipping box was perfect so it was a newegg problem. cmon guys, a little care (and bubblewrap) goes a long way. Not impressed this time.

Not bad for the money.9/21/2008 9:59:30 AM

Pros: Cheap. works well. Pretty.

Cons: velcro strips can be a pain to set up, and power lines are a bit short to reach a good position for the lights.

Overall Review: pay special attention to where you will position thye tubes in your case, as you might find you can't reach it with the power or that the velcro pieces can't be placed well.

Pretty...but Cheap!10/17/2006 10:40:50 AM

Pros: Very pretty case and the power supply is powerful enough to do the job. Cheap money makes it a deal.

Cons: Cheap! Cheap construction cheap power supply cheap connections(some wires broke in my hands!) and no manuals what so ever.

Overall Review: If you need a cheap tower and don't mind having to do some fabrication to make this work, then its a good buy. Shipping has been slipping with ground so pay the extra money and go Fed-Ex.
