Still going after all these years12/5/2014 4:08:58 AM

Pros: I bought this back in 2010 and its still going strong! Runs my cards in SLI no problems with power to spare for everything else .

Cons: none

For home or on the road, this is a good choice10/5/2014 4:59:44 PM

Pros: This karaoke player hooks up easy at home or to your road box. It plays regular CD-G and DVD karaoke discs just fine, and works with HDMI or RCA video cords. Its even works well with a coaxial converter box and shows up fine on channel 3 unlike another Martin Ranger player. Easy use for a right handed person. Recording is too simple, just press one button on the remote and have a thumb drive in the usb slot and you're recording yourself sing. Also Works with memory cards to like the ones found in cameras.

Cons: Long gone are the days of the JVC karaoke players like the JVC MV 303-BK that had flawless sound when you did a key change. Like all other karaoke players I have personally seen now of days. When you do a key change up or down on this player. You get a wavering sound.

Overall Review: Also if you use the controls on the machine. The play/pause and eject button are a little too close for those of us with bigger fingers, but you get used to it.

I highly recommend this!3/11/2014 2:41:47 PM

Pros: This modem/router seem to take in and spit out more bandwidth than I am supposed to be getting at times when I test my speed in I get a great signal from anywhere in my house to. Gaming on my PC hasn't been this good in a long time. Setup was simple. I just plugged in all the necessary cords, called my ISP to verify the new modem and I was back up in 10 minutes from start to finish.

Cons: none so far.

Overall Review: I accidently broke my modem when rearranging things around, so I had to get a new one quick. I would've bought this here on newegg if it wasn't for my circumstance and avoiding the sales tax. Regardless I am very glad I did. It is soooo much better than my old router and now I have both a very fast modem and router all in one that takes less space.

Review #29/4/2013 4:46:36 PM

Pros: I paid $195 for the laptop here on newegg. 2nd time's the charm and now I got a laptop that is fully functional from DLS! Also unbeknownst to me, I was given for free an upgrade to 4 gigs of ram and a 300 gig hard drive for my trouble for the first one not working :)

Cons: It was too bad the first laptop I received didn't work as per my first review. so this took a lot of extra time to remedy. But as you can see in the pros. DLS made up for that.

Overall Review: Even though HP were not the one who refurbished the laptop. Jim (the main customer service rep) at DLS (discount laptop shop) and whoever did refurbish the laptop were very helpful and patient with me and worked through every and all problems professionally as fast as they humanly could. To the guys at DLS, If you read this. Thank you very much and especially to you Jim!

Going strong since 12/31/20101/3/2012 3:41:19 AM

Pros: As I said, its been "Going strong since 12/31/2010" and it just keeps going. I am using a ASUS Rampage III formula mobo and I have it OC'd to 4.2 GHZ and have gone to 4.48 GHZ with just air and no problems with the stock fan that came with it! Also the stock fan which does not look like a stock fan with its copper piping is a great extra! Handles all my games no prob!

Cons: Just the price as usual, but besides that I have NONE! With this you honestly get what you pay for.

Overall Review: I am just a regular guy and I am always curious about new tech for computers and I do my best to get an understanding for it all, but I think I would buy the 980x again or even the 990x over the new i7-3960X Extreme Edition Sandy Bridge-E for just one reason and that it does not come with a cooling fan. Looking back on my purchase, if I was doing another new build. For me it was a great convenience to not have to shop around and pay extra for a good cooling fan for my processor, Especially when you are already paying over $1000 and it does what it is supposed to for an air cooler. So unless you already have a CPU cooler or are going to go with something more extreme like water or nitrogen. Yeah... that would be nice hehe. Think about the buying the 980x or the 990x

I agree with the other reviewer9/9/2011 8:12:43 PM

Pros: Hepa filter, light, cheap, does clean very small jobs {thus the 2 egg rating)

Cons: Over heats and shuts off with no warning in the middle of cleaning. Hoses clog easy with carpet fluff which doesn't help with over heating, but it still over heats even after you clear out the hoses.

Overall Review: I bought this when I moved into a small 1 bedroom apt and in the beginning it worked ok but very soon afterward it started shutting down and cleaning my place shouldn't be difficult situation for any vacuum. I would advise anyone not to get this vacuum until they fix this problem.

I hoped other site reviews were wrong7/7/2011 8:21:27 AM

Pros: Cheap price. The opening sequence going into the start screen in my opinion was beautiful and reminded me so much of the 1st Star trek movie. It would of made a very fine screen saver!

Cons: Cheap game play. The opening sequence sadly is nothing like the actual game play. Its a top side only view like Asteroids, but unlike Asteroids. The steering controls are horrible. Although in time I supposed you could get used to them. You use the w,a,s,d, keys to navigate. Problem is if your used to "W" moving you forward. "S" being reverse or stop and the "A" and "D" keys to to steer. This is not the case. Using these keys moves the ship in that direction like some flash games do. Which makes aiming a problem at best and running into obstacles a pain in the.. well you know. The game is very limited at best sadly.

Overall Review: The game runs with "STEAM" so you need a STEAM account to play it which doesn't bother me since that just means you do not have to insert the disk to play it after installing the game.

Its not too bad6/29/2011 11:04:48 AM

Pros: Its not a bad game and is a plus if you like Steam punk. Its a strategy game where you build armies with various kinds of ground and air units and purchase upgrades buy building different buildings. If you have played command and conquer.. Its kinda like that. You just use you mouse to play. Has a very nice story line though.

Cons: None really. although it is an older game and the graphics in battles aren't the greatest even on max.

Overall Review: I like to play this game when I need to unwind and take a break from fast paced gaming. This game is for the casual player and not extremists expecting fast game play. You have time to think and plan your strategies and build up your defenses while you build up for that offensives push to conquer your enemies.

An old favorite6/29/2011 10:40:26 AM

Pros: This game rocks still to this day for many reasons. It still has a great community of online players. You can download a great free mod call desert combat which upgrades the graphics, weapons, vehicles, air craft and game play. Its a game where you can host YOUR OWN online game/server from your own computer and not have to rent a server (big let down in BF2142} and you don't have to be online to play a single player game.

Cons: Some may say that the graphics are not great in comparison of more current games, but it does not make the game any less fun to play. Also you need to download PunkBuster to play online in most cases.

Overall Review: a lot of times you can find this game in a bundle pack called "the complete collection" which includes 1942 and the expansions "Vietnam", "The road to Rome", and "secret weapons of WWII". Which I found for around $10 new. Either way, if you pay the $7 here or or not. You won't be disappointed by this game and you do not need a monster system to run it and enjoy it.

What a great game!5/21/2011 9:39:15 AM

Pros: When I bought this game here on newegg, it was on sale for only $9.99. Glad I got it when I did :D.. Even if you buy it for $19.99 I very much doubt you will regret it. Also once its installed, you will not have to insert the DVD back into your drive to play the game.

Cons: Not sure if its a con or not but it seems you must install/use "STEAM" since its seems to be part of the installation. but its no big deal to me since I already have an account. No online multi player also. This is a single player game but it still gets 5 stars from me.

Overall Review: If you have high end Nvidia cards like two 580's in SLI and a separate dedicated physX card like myself. The game options has a option for advanced physX if you have a physX card . Although I am sure ATI users will still get a brilliant graphics show just the same. Based on a Russian novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky, Metro 2033 is set in post-apocalyptic Moscow. After nuclear devastation ravaged the earth and skies, the people of Moscow retreated into the sprawling underground Metro system in order to survive, building tattered towns at various stations throughout. The world is populated by mutants, dangerous anomalies and a number of supernatural occurrences. In the midst of this strange setting, players take control of the young Artyom and guide him on his quest to deliver an important message to a neighboring station. He'll fight a ton of generic enemies in order to get there, with a few surprises along the way.

Deactivated? !5/13/2011 6:56:42 PM

Pros: 12 bucks for a 5 button mouse and the forward and back side buttons on both on one side for easy use. Installed easily and perfectly with Windows 7 ultimate.

Cons: None yet. Other than why has it been deactivated?

Overall Review: If I was to go into a store to buy ANY 5 button mouse similar to this in my area. It would of cost twice to three times as much for the same performance. I was going to recommend it to friends but so much for that idea now... I do not understand why good deals just go away....

To Mr know it all / non verified owner2/28/2011 12:31:54 AM

Pros: with the special deal at the time. The mother board that came with it worked fine. (ASUS Rampage III Formula) (4 eggs) ASUS TECHS were very helpful and courteous (5 eggs) Newegg RMA service people are great in my book (5 eggs)

Cons: Both cards didn't work properly. 1 egg Just bad luck. flaws in production happens just like in ALL electronics. It was just very stressful after spending $1099 a piece to just have not even one of these cards not work after testing them individually one at a time! With that said, I seriously hope no one else goes through what I did because I built my system around these cards and I was a bit heart broken. I wanted to give them another chance but I couldn't.

Overall Review: In reply to "Mr know it all / non verified owner". I do thank you for your advise but... I tried running these cards ONE AT A TIME with the ASUS Rampage III Formula board that came with them at the time. I had nothing else in the PCI-E slots or any of the other slots and no SSD either when running these with a 1500 watt PS. I used a H.I.S. 5870 to make sure there wasn't a problem with mother board and it worked fine. The HDMI sound icons showed in window 7 once again and functioned just fine. I then inserted the ASUS cards with ONE IN AT A TIME (not in CF} with the newest downloaded drivers to just have the same problem with each card again and again. Blue screen of death, memory dumps and no hdmi sound is what I got from each individual card. techs at ASUS walked me through every possibility they could think of to no avail. So for my stressful experience because I got 2 cards that did not function as they were supposed to. 1 egg. I wish I could of said 5 eggs but I can

Manufacturer Response:
Dear Valued Customer, We sincerely apologize for the issues that you are experiencing with these graphics cards. Due to the way ATI Catalyst initializes the INF driver file, we have seen occurrences where the ARES would not be properly initialized. Because of this, it is best that these cards be installed on a clean OS installation with latest Catalyst drivers installed after OS installation. If you previously had other card(s) installed in your system (even if they were another 5870 variant), at the least you want to do a clean reinstall of the ATI drivers which completely removes any previously installed ATI drivers in the process. If you still have issues, please contact us at 812-282-2787 and provide case number 1172290 so that we can assist you with the RMA process and help you to resolve these issues. Best Regards, ASUS Product Specialist
Not bad for the money2/24/2011 4:12:23 AM

Pros: Its a big case and it will hold pretty much anything and that includes the big ATI cards. The lights are cool and I wont need Xmas lights anymore LOL The big fans keep my system nice and cool.

Cons: Minus 1 egg on rating this case... When I opened the box I found bits and pieces of broken plastic floating around in the box. I found that somehow the feet for the case were broken and not usable. The box it came in was fine so I do not think I can blame UPS. Quality control needs looking into. Only has 2 usb ports on the top front of the case. 4 would of been nicer.

Overall Review: One more fan at the top of the case would of been great for exhaust reasons but as is, it works fine. Also it would of been nicer to have the option of putting the power supply on the bottom rather than the top, but thats just me not picking now. great ATX case for the money. Just wish the feet weren't broken when I got it....

I will never doubt Nvidia again2/4/2011 1:33:39 PM

Pros: This card(s) exceeded my expectations in performance! I came from a system that had 3 ATI 5870's in tri fire and 2 of these Nvidia cards and from what I saw. These ran much soother in the Heaven benchmark by far with way less choppy scenes. So I am sure it will run any app or game with the same performance. Also they do work great with MSI's Afterburner for over clocking.

Cons: more or less this is not a con, but is maybe due to my own ignorance. I bought 2 of these and I just assumed that ALL cards came with SLI connectors. These do not! Also it would of been nice if these had a regular HDMI connection on the card. The cord was a little short for my needs for reaching my HDTV/monitor and the small end that connects to the card can break off easy if your not careful. ooppss.. my bad.

Overall Review: Even with the cons mentioned I had to give these 5 stars because I look at the quality and the performance I have received from these cards. I got caught up in the ATI propaganda of dual cards and massive amounts of processing cores {1600 per card). Do not let the number fool you like they did me. While I do like my ATI 5870 cards but I like these a heck of a lot more. I REALLY wanted this to work... :'(1/20/2011 2:14:26 PM

Pros: The card looks fantastic and the case was really cool with the 3200 dpi mouse inside with it.

Cons: The design of the card must of looked really great on paper I am sure, but in all my life I have never had so much trouble with a graphics card[s]. {yes I had 2 in crossfire and both had the problem} I even tried to run these cards one at a time with w new install of windows each time!! Thats how bad I wanted at least 1 of them to work for me :( Blue screen of death on most restarts. The hdmi sound driver would nnot install or would go missing and the AMD HDMI icon in windows 7 volume control would either show it was not plugged in or was just missing. ASUS phone support techs did their best to help but no solution could be found. Thanks ASUS.. E+ for effort at least :) Also was happy with ASUS for using people who used English as their only language and live here in the USA and didn't charge for premium tech support. Take that HP LOL

Overall Review: I really do love ATI and ASUS products and as I am looking at the better reviews here. I wonder if I got the bad luck of getting 2 bad cards, but I am not going to replacing them just to possibly go through hell all over again! I had really high hopes for this build and wanted this build to work sooo badly since it was going to be my very first build and I had the money to get nothing but the best parts and had a good friend who builds servers and computers guild me in this endeavor. Murphy's law I guess... BTW THANK YOU NEWEGG and the great service guy for making the RMA sooo easy. As soon as I get the refund. I am getting some other top end cards through newegg for my build.

Pros: Looked nice and It only cost $3 and had free shipping. The disc might make a nice coaster for my coffee mug.

Cons: After trying many things to fix this. I have come to the conclusion at least for myself that this game will not work with Windows7 ultimate 32 and 64 Even after patching the game and running it in XP or any of the other various operating modes WIN7 provides. The game keeps freezing up and has even froze my system.

Great cheap card!12/20/2010 3:36:26 AM

Pros: It delivered a good performance at a good price. I just installed this card into my friends standard size computer case as a Early Christmas present and upgraded her from a ASUS 7600gt silent. Unless you have a abnormally small computer case. This compact card will fit just fine. It plays the new W.O.W. Cataclysm on all high settings with no lag or strobing at X8 Antialiasing. I think with a little more tweaking in the game settings it may do even better with a custom setting rather than a default on high. Anyways, the card did what it was supposed to do and preformed great and works with a 300 watt PS with no pin connectors. Just pop it in the PCI-E slot and install the drivers, restart your computer and your up and running.

Cons: the only thing I can see as a very minor con would be it is not SLI ready.

Overall Review: I am a ATI guy myself and I like crossfire/SLI. Although I like this card and I think it would be a great one to have already installed into prefabbed computers if they have not done so yet.

Pros: For the price you can't beat it. This was my first Plasma tv and my first purchase at newegg. MY folks liked it so much they bought it off of me, so now I have to get another one LOL. Its a perfect tv for watching movies and playing Xbox with HDMI cables!

Cons: Not really a con, but its my own fault for not knowing better. I bought this Plasma TV to use with my gaming PC. While it did show a great picture with it and I was picking off people with my sniper rifle was easier than ever in "Battlefield 2142", I was not aware at the time of the purchase and more more advanced tech friends told me that certain PC images could burn into the screen after a while and never go away and ruin the TV. I called LG and they told me that it should not be a problem if as long as I don't have the same image on there for hours at a time. Still its something I don't want to worry about in the future. So my high tech friends said I should go for a 240hz led lcd instead. To bad they cost close to 3 times as much as this TV for around the same size.

Overall Review: I wish all hdtvs had a DVI connection as well.
