Great Card

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6950 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity 100312-1GDP
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6950 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity 100312-1GDP

Pros: Can play BF3 at 1920x1080 with all settings on Ultra except for deferred AA, which I keep off. I don't get a solid 60 FPS, but I'll average between 40-60 and dip below 30 only on very rare occasions. It is absolutely playable, which honestly kind of surprised me. All other games (Deus Ex, Shogun 2, ect.) can be maxed out with 16xAF/8xAA with no problems whatsoever. The 560 Ti is a great card, but after the problems it and Nvidia's drivers have been having with BF3, hopefully the myth of AMD having "bad drivers" will finally be thrown out the window. I haven't had an ATI card since my lowly 9600 XT, and I've been pleasantly surprised by the stability of their current drivers and the features they offer.

Cons: My card idles fairly hot, around 50C if I don't apply a more aggressive fan profile. With a moderately aggressive fan profile that drops down to 40-45C though, and load temperatures rarely top 75C. The fans are quiet at low load, but when they whir up they tend to rattle and buzz a little. This card is definitely louder at load than my old GTX 260 C216, but not by much.

Overall Review: Other system components are: an i5 2500k OCed to 4.5GHz, an ASUS P8P67 motherboard, and 8GB of 1333MHz DDR3 RAM.

Awesome CPU!!

AMD FX-8150 - FX-Series Zambezi 8-Core 3.6 GHz Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD8150FRGUBOX

Pros: Wowza the new king anybody??? 8 cores WOW!! Beats anything Intel has to offer easily, there still stuck at SIX cores, WAY BEHIND! Upgraded from an i5 2500k that I only got cuz it came in the comp my parents baught for me and the difference blew my mind!! Yeah like some say my gaming performance dropped by like a frame or two but I'm multitasking like CRAZY now!! AMD is ALWAYS the way to go!! lol I'm letting my rents have it for getting me an intel computer but hey they didn't know lol

Cons: Hasn't knocked Intel out of the market yet but hey it takes time. A little hot I guess and I had to get a 1200 watt power supply to be safe but TOTALLY worth it! Go AMD!!

Overall Review: Anybody who goes intel now is missing out. I still can't believe that AMD figured out how to give us 8 FREAKING CORES so cheap!!!

Solid Board

ASUS P8P67 (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
ASUS P8P67 (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Pros: Feature rich, great for overclocking the Sandy Bridge chips, and (after the 3.0 update) very stable and reliable. The UEFI BIOS takes a little while to get used to, but when you do it makes overclocking and other adjustments incredibly easy. The onboard audio sounds great, and there are plenty of USB 3.0 ports to go around.

Cons: Only one con, and that is the placement of the SATA ports. I'm not sure who's idea it was to have them turned sideways, but with a Centurion 5 II case, they are a pain to access after the motherboard has been installed. It might work well with other cases, but was there seriously a problem with having them just sticking straight upwards? Why change what works?

Overall Review: Wish Newegg allowed half-egg ratings, because as annoying as that SATA problem was for me, this board is still a solid 4.5-5 eggs.

Outstanding monitor for the price

Acer H213H bmid Black 21.5" 5ms HDMI Full HD 1080P Widescreen 16:9 LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ACM 20000:1 Built-in Speakers
Acer H213H bmid Black 21.5" 5ms HDMI Full HD 1080P Widescreen 16:9 LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ACM 20000:1 Built-in Speakers

Pros: Ordered this alongside a Linksys router that came with free shipping. Even though the monitor was shipped as a separate package from a different location, Newegg still sent it free of charge. Onto the monitor itself: great colors, no noticeable ghosting, no dead pixels. The best attribute is its low dot pitch though. Cramming 1920x1080 pixels onto a 21.5'' screen doesn't sound like a good idea, but it creates a picture much sharper than a typical 1680x1050 22'' or 1920x1200 24'' monitor. Font is crystal clear, and you're able to sit closer to the screen without losing crispness.

Cons: There is noticeable backlight bleed, not enough to take away an egg but enough that it needs to be mentioned.

Overall Review: The touch buttons are very easy to work with, not sure why others are having problems. Be sure to swipe downwards on them rather than just poking. The left/right buttons can also be held down so there's no need to repeatedly tap them, took me longer than it should have to realize that.

Sennheiser PMX100 3.5mm Connector Supra-aural Headphone
Sennheiser PMX100 3.5mm Connector Supra-aural Headphone

Pros: Good sound, comfortable, and fit snugly on your head. Great for either relaxed listening or for running and biking. Bass can be a little on the weak side at times, and highs can get a little tinny at the extremes.

Cons: After about 6 months of use both earphones have been worn out. Any time solid bass kicks in it will create an incredibly annoying tinny vibration loud enough to ruin whatever song I'm listening to.
