Horrific Support

CyberLink PowerDirector 12 Ultimate
CyberLink PowerDirector 12 Ultimate

Pros: ZERO, Free software does a better job

Cons: Horrific Cyberlink Power Director has an issue with older tapes the internal coding seems to detect static found on older media as copy protection and will abort the process, I sent an email to their support staff figured a simple patch or update would remedy the issue this is their reply --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cyberlink’s response ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for contacting Cyberlink Technical Support. I understand your concern related to copyright error when trying to capture home movies using Power Director 12 software. I would like to inform you that with old tapes, this is a common issue of getting copyright protected error. This error occurs due to weak magnetic field on the VHS tapes. Please note that this error generally occurs when the source tapes are very old or have physical errors on them. Please try and use a different (new) tapes and let us know if the issue persists. I would suggest you to update capture card drivers and see if it helps in resolving the issue. If issue persists then the problem is old VHS tape specific. In that case, you should use new tapes. I have been an IT pro for 25 years, I am in customer service customers pay tens of thousands of dollars to call us when their systems go down, if I ever dismissed a customer’s issue in the manner Cyberlink dismissed mine I would be fired on the spot, Can you even find new VHS tapes anymore? Does Cyberlink have a Time machine I can borrow to go back 20 years and reshoot my home movies? And how is updating my hardware drivers supposed to keep an Error in their software that they know about from happening again?

Overall Review: Would return this if I could it is a waste of money

GIGABYTE TRX40 AORUS XTREME sTRX4 AMD TRX40 SATA 6Gb/s XL ATX AMD Motherboard
GIGABYTE TRX40 AORUS XTREME sTRX4 AMD TRX40 SATA 6Gb/s XL ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: NONE It Looks Nice I guess

Cons: ALL OF THEM I own this board, I am getting an RMA, I fought with Gigabyte for two weeks before they agreed it needed to be send back, the read write speed on the AIC is horrid and slower than a single drive even with four of them in raid 0. I can get it to post one in ten times, and I get video display about half that often. I am so tired with 0d, 60, 02, and b6 errors.

Overall Review: I would not suggest this board to anyone.

ASUS ROG RAMPAGE V EXTREME/U3.1 LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 Extended ATX Intel Gaming Motherboard

Pros: Nothing this is the worst Asus Board I have ever owned

Cons: Required daily Clear CMOS to boot Won't enter sleep mode Won't wake from sleep mode when it does enter Reboots randomly when it does enter sleep mode To unstable to even try to OC

Overall Review: I spared no expense building this and I wish I hadn’t my old Vic 20 was more stable then this will ever be once I recover from my expenses of building this 5k Dung heapI will buy a new Non-Asus board and send this one back to Asus for repair then off to FleaBay it will go. I purchases memory listed in the QVL this machine is not over clocked it just has too many issues to carry the ROG tag and a $500 dollar price tag.
