Rosewill RG630-S12 - Green Series 630-Watt Active PFC Power Supply Unit - Continuous @ 104 Deg. F (40C), 80 PLUS Bronze Certified, Single 12V Rail, Compatible with Core i7, i5

Pros: Best PSU for the price. It's very quiet, has tons of connectors, and I had no problems using it in a massive NZXT Source 210 S210-001.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Most Critical Review

Doesn't work

TP-Link TL-WN350GD Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g 32bit PCI Up to 54Mbps Wireless Data Rates
TP-Link TL-WN350GD Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g 32bit PCI Up to 54Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: Pros? Well, it fits nicely into a PCI slot...

Cons: It doesn't work. Doesn't find my network (two other computers in the same room get full bars), doesn't connect to the networks that it does find, and I had to use a different computer to find drivers since the CD it came with was cracked into several pieces.

Plain old drive

Intel Black SATA Slim DVD Drive Model AXXSATADVDROM
Intel Black SATA Slim DVD Drive Model AXXSATADVDROM

Pros: It's a DVD drive. Nothing fancy. Quiet, slim, and seems reasonably fast. Make sure you have the proper power cable since the slim-line plug is smaller than a normal SATA power plug.

Cons: It's a tiny bit too small in my case (Antec ISK150) but I'm not sure if that's the drive's fault or the case. Either way there's a small gap at the top & bottom of the drive and the edge of the bay slot.

Overall Review: Doesn't include the non-standard mounting screws so I had to fish some out of an old laptop.

Very sturdy, very compact,

Antec ISK Series ISK 300-150 Black 0.8mm Cold Rolled Steel Mini-ITX Desktop Computer Case 150W Power Supply
Antec ISK Series ISK 300-150 Black 0.8mm Cold Rolled Steel Mini-ITX Desktop Computer Case 150W Power Supply

Pros: It's a great case - if you want small. Comes with exactly the features you need (fan + space for 2nd fan, correct amount of power connectors, 2x HDD bays) and a bit extra (fan speed controller switch on back, front SATA port). Runs quietly as well. I'm using this for email, web, and home media server.

Cons: It's very small. This is kind of the point, so it's not really a con, but you need a bit of dexterity and patience to build in it. Research your parts/layout before buying components.

Overall Review: Might buy more of these to build a small office desktop and maybe another server or two.

Amazing card for the price

GIGABYTE GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 2GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Video Card GV-N430-2GI
GIGABYTE GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 2GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Video Card GV-N430-2GI

Pros: Runs BF3 on max settings at 1920*1080. About to try Crysis 2 in a few minutes. I didn't think I could get this kind of performance out of a $70 card.

Cons: Can get a bit noisy when the fans are going full blast. Plastic cover feels cheap and flimsy.

Great memory

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin PC RAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin PC RAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

Pros: Very fast, very stable, and has really nice looking heatsinks that seem to be unnecessary since it's barely warm to the touch.

Cons: I came back here to buy a 2nd set and I see the price has risen by $16.
