Great Gaming Keyboard

Logitech G15 2-Tone 104 Normal Keys 34 Function Keys USB Wired Standard Keyboard
Logitech G15 2-Tone 104 Normal Keys 34 Function Keys USB Wired Standard Keyboard

Pros: Very impressed with this keyboard and all logitech products thus far. Good keyboard for Lan's and low light gaming. Programmable buttons a plenty, almost too many. Good feel to the buttons and the light brightness option is a nice touch. Very sturdy feel, very well built. Apparently if the paint wears off of the keys that logitech will replace it.

Cons: The keys are normally clear with black painted over them, with use the paint will wear away and the light shines through. May be just my model, but the lights and lcd remain on even after shutting down the computer, not bright enough to bother, but still on. Non-powered usb ports, so no charging your ipod or mp3 player through them. Exceedingly heavy and obviously longer than normal, look at the pictures, you get a whole extra row of buttons.

Overall Review: The lcd interface is programmable, however if you aren't that apt to program there are downloadable programs to interface with your programs. However, only a small handful are on the logitech site, you have to surf through forums that logitech provides links for. I can't knock it though, with all the complaints and quirks it is still the best keyboard I have used in the logitech line and in any other keyboard manufacturer line.

Most Critical Review

Kind of ok

ASUS P5WD2-E Premium LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS P5WD2-E Premium LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: 8 Sata connections with 2 raid controllers is a plus. Good placement of connections like IDE, SATA and so on. Plenty of software controlled fan connections. Support for DDR 2 800 memory. 3.0GHZ Presler Core Sapphire X1900XT 2 gigs Corsair DDR 2 PC 800 Sound Blaster X-FI 2-74 gig Raptors 4-320 Western Digitals Antec NeoPower 550 Danger Den Custom built water cooling Yeong-Yang B0420 Server Case

Cons: When it worked, it was buggy. I understand this is a newer northbridge, 975, but maybe it could of been researched a little more before selling. Intel raid installed flawlessly for my raptors in RAID-0, but Marvell, well...it might as well not be there because it isn't. Once the computer was running for a bit and got past the bugginess it ran well. One week later to the day after installing it, it shut off while idling, computer temperature was a cool 120 degrees with sotck heat sink. It would then fire up and run for 20 seconds then shut off again. After letting it sit for a day it would not power on again. I am now waiting on Asus to send me a new board via their RMA department. Very dissapointed, but it happens

Overall Review: As usual very impressed with Newegg shipping time and service. However, I think a 10 or 14 day grace period on defective parts for return would be a lot easier on the customer. That is, instead of dealing with Asus or any other manufacturer deal with Newegg which is normally a whole lot easier.

Perfect for complicated Home Theater

Logitech Harmony 880 Universal Infrared Advanced Remote Control
Logitech Harmony 880 Universal Infrared Advanced Remote Control

Pros: Customizable buttons and macro buttons. Color display and lots of different options makes it extremely customizable. Feels good in the hand, comfortable, stylish and an eye catcher. Battery level is indicated on the color display

Cons: Complicated, not for the new user to the universal remote scene. Takes a lot of time to set up the remote if you have a lot of equpiment. Overkill if you only are going to control a tv and a dvd player. Huge con for me is the lack of volume control for the tv while viewing a dvd and having the remote in the dvd mode. I hate switching to tv mode to adjust the volume just to switch back to dvd for those controls.

Overall Review: It's more a 4.5 star review because the volume control for the tv in dvd mode really aggravates me. But overall impression is good, so it is hard to hit it to hard.

Super Impressed

Intel BOXD975XBXLKR LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel BOXD975XBXLKR LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: This board breaks the mold for moldy old Intel boards. Motherboard manufacturers should take note, this is the way it should be done. Flame shaped heatsinks on the mosfets, just the right amount of software, and snap sata cables. Plenty of firewire, usb, and extra ports as well as front panel audio. Stable, awesomely stable. Not a single complaint software side. Looks great, feels good, is good. Highly recommended.

Cons: Watercooling, the capacitors near the processor don't allow for large water cooling blocks. The heatsink on the northbridge chipset it a nuclear furnace...just try finding a compatible watercooling block for it. You won't. In my server case, the front panel USB won't reach the header on the motherboard.

Overall Review: I have owned 2 defective Asus boards with the 975 chipset so far and decided to go with something reliable. I wasn't dissapointed. There is a reason that intel motherboards are standard in a majority of name brand computers, they just work.

Brilliant, crisp sound

Creative SOUND BLASTER X-Fi Platinum 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card
Creative SOUND BLASTER X-Fi Platinum 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card

Pros: Superb sound, brilliant and crisp. I owned every newest stepping in creatives "platinum" line and this I would have to say has the biggest jump in sound clarity and perfection. I play a lot of bf2 and oblivion on 3 different computers (server, sff, and laptop) and the differences between the 3 is amazing. The amount of details in the sound that this card brings out has to be heard. So much more detail and small sounds that you never heard before you hear now.

Cons: The break out box connects through a ribbon cable. That is poor imho. Creative is the monopoly of the sound card market, so wy not listen to your customers and use a better connection between the card and break out box? All I use in my case(s) is rounded cables, the bland, cheap, grey ribbon cable is old school and out dated.

Overall Review: Can't knock a card like this for a ribbon cable, it is top notch and can't be beat. Very impressed, wasn't expecting such a difference in sound, but I was pleasently surprised.

Almost Perfect

Logitech G5 2-Tone 6 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser Mouse
Logitech G5 2-Tone 6 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser Mouse

Pros: Good feel and weight once you set it like you want it. I can't stand lightweight (copperhead, razor) and don't like the big heavy ones like the mx5000 laser, but this one is in the middle. The weight adjustment is a novel idea, I don't use it much, just once, you get it set right and you won't touch it again. Led illumination is a nice touch, I like to know when my mouse is on and plugged in unlike some invisible lasers. Very accurate tracking, the on the fly adjustment is an awesome feature, use it mainly in bf2 when switching from infantry, to sniper, or armor. Textured feel on the top of the mouse as well. I was concerned because I like my mice smooth and glossy, but the texture is so light you barely notice it. It is an awesome touch, easy to hold on to in an intense frag session when things get hot. Braided usb cord, not needed, but it looks cool.

Cons: No back button.

Overall Review: Fantastic mouse, I can't praise it enough. My razor and copperhead friends are jealous n00bs.
