Most Favorable Review

It's been 2 weeks since the release and buying this card and here are my thoughts.

GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3080 GAMING OC 10GB Video Card, GV-N3080GAMING OC-10GD
GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3080 GAMING OC 10GB Video Card, GV-N3080GAMING OC-10GD

Pros: The card is incredibly fast and meets all my expectations for gaming. I upgraded from a 2070 FE and there isn't even a comparison because this card is just so much faster. The card stays quiet and keeps good temps even after hours of streaming and gaming. I haven't even seen the card go above 65 C and usually stays around 61 C while gaming. The card is so powerful that you can stream and game on the card without noticing a difference.

Cons: RGB Fusion 2.0 needs some serious work done to it. It took me a few tries to finally get it to work and be able to adjust my RGB on the card. It doesn't work with any other RGB products outside Gigabyte so if you run everything on a different program like iCue then be ready to try to match the RGB to the best of your ability because the options are limited. There is very little head room for overclocking without your system crashing so your best bet is to just leave it how it is right out of the box.

Overall Review: If you're just looking for a card that runs at max capacity right out of the box and has good temps this is the card for you. However if you're looking to do overclocking this card does have it's issues. I guess everyone is going to have different results but I was able to get my card to +100 MHz core clock and +500 MHz memory clock at 100% power limit anything over this my system would actually freeze and I would have to fully shutdown my pc and reboot it. PC Specs: Motherboard - ASUS ROG Maximus XII Hero Z490 CPU - Intel Core i7 - 10700k Liquid Cooler - Corsair H100i RGB PLATINUM RAM – Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB 3600MHz M.2 SSD - Samsung 970 EVO SSD 1TB PSU - CORSAIR RM850x 80+ Gold Certified FPS Results: Apex Legends: When looking to drop usually around 200 FPS but once you hit the ground usually around 250 - 300 FPS. You can't go above 300 FPS it's hard capped. Far Cry 5: 130 - 200 FPS on Ultra settings and HD Textures turned on. Far Cry New Dawn: 100 - 150 FPS on Ultra settings and HD Textures turned on. Devil May Cry 5: 300 - 350 FPS on Ultra Settings. League of Legends: 500 - 600 FPS with everything maxed out.
