Nice headphones but slightly different from what I expected

Rosewill Prelude On-Ear Wood Headphones, In-Line Volume Control Switch and Microphone, Genuine Beech Wood Swivel Ear Cups, RWH-001
Rosewill Prelude On-Ear Wood Headphones, In-Line Volume Control Switch and Microphone, Genuine Beech Wood Swivel Ear Cups, RWH-001

Pros: Good fit/feel, decent sound, great looks

Cons: All plastic in spite of appearance, cord is short, more bass than I expected, ear cups only swivel in one direction and are rather stiff

Overall Review: These headphones "LOOK" cool and have decent sound. The cord could be longer but, since it is detachable you could always get a longer one if desired. The sound could be more balanced when it comes to the tonal range (it is rather heavy on the bass end even with audio that isn't bass heavy). DON'T BE FOOLED BY APPEARANCES! The part of the headband that holds the ear-cups is PLASTIC. Part of the reason I went with the more expensive RWH-001 over the RWH-002 (which has the same drivers and over-all specs) is that I "THOUGHT" these would be a bit more sturdy with metal parts to the headband. However, it was clear upon initial examination that the "chrome" parts are just chrome colored plastic. I also liked that the ear pieces on the RWH-001 swivel which I thought would be good for storage if I use these outside of my home. The swiveling parts are rather stiff and really only move in one direction. Based on reviews I had read before making my purchase, I expected the headband to be smaller and tighter than it turned out to be. I have a larger than average head so, a tight fit could be uncomfortable with prolonged use. However, the fit is not as tight as I expected based on what I had seen. The headband is actually much larger than I expected. I do not need to adjust it to a larger size to use the headphones (which I typically need to do when trying a pair of headphones that are set to the smallest size. As for the ear-cups, they fit over my ears nicely. I was not sure if they would fit around my ear (meaning my ear sitting within the "well" of the padding) or if the padding end up on top of my ears. This will vary for each person depending on the size and shape of their ears. I am sure for some the padded part may rest on top of their ears which could potentially be uncomfortable...especially if using the headphones for long periods. Unless you absolutely need the ear-cups to swivel you may want to save some money by going with the RWH-002 which, from what I have gathered, have the same drivers and over-all specs. The RWH-002 has round ear-cups which could mean more trouble getting the headphones to sit comfortably over your ears. The bottom line: there are better headphones available but, for the price you are unlikely to find a pair with wooden ear-cups...other than the RWH-002 which are essentially the same as these but with a few minor (mostly cosmetic) differences.

SanDisk 64GB Ultra microSDXC UHS-I / Class 10 Memory Card with Adapter, Speed Up to 80MB/s (SDSQUNC-064G-GN6MA)

Pros: Large capacity, good price

Cons: None with the item itself.

Overall Review: I bought this as an upgrade from the 16 GB card that I had in my phone. The price was good and the card does its job. The only down side I have had was getting it to work in my phone. After some searching I discovered that it is not uncommon to have issues when swapping one card for another. I had to reset my phone and basically start fresh. Since then there have been no problems using this card.

Does its job and works with Windows 10

Pros: Works with Windows 10 Connects to the wi-fi easily

Cons: None that I can see so far.

Overall Review: My laptop's original wi-fi adapter would not connect to wi-fi at the radio studio after upgrading to Windows 10. I spent several months trying to remedy the situation. Re-installing the original card using Windows 8 drivers in compatibility mode seemed to work except that Windows would update the driver to to the one for Windows 10 without my knowledge and knock me offline. After several months of this headache I finally decided to get a new wireless adapter. I had considered a USB dongle but, I already use the three USB ports on my laptop for the radio show. This was the only card I found that specifically said it worked with Windows 10 and had a user review also stating the same. Windows automatically installed the card with the Windows driver but, I decided to update the driver using the included disc. Not only does this card work as expected, it sees more "available" connections in the building than my old card. I just wish I had found this card sooner,

A really nice picture frame and the price was right.

ViewSonic 10.1" digital photo frame, high 1024x600 resolution, 128MB, calendar/clock, auto on/off, LED backlight & remote control
ViewSonic 10.1" digital photo frame, high 1024x600 resolution, 128MB, calendar/clock, auto on/off, LED backlight & remote control

Pros: Nice picture with a bright display. Easy to use.

Cons: The remote could be a bit larger. There is no way to change the orientation of photos that display in the wrong direction (I am speaking of files where the photo is turned on end to begin with). It could use some more editing options on the picture frame itself in case the photo comes out different on the frame than on your computer screen. The pre-loaded sample pictures must be manually removed while the frame is connected to your computer otherwise they will be part of the slide show with your own pictures. Needs a better stand/support.

Overall Review: I bought this as a Christmas gift for my brother so he could have photos of his grand kids on display. I had a hard time finding a frame in the 10-inch category that wasn't overly pricey or that had bad user reviews. While I was unable to find all that many reviews for this frame those I did find were generally positive. That combined with the fact that my computer monitor is a Viewsonic had me feeling this would likely be a good purchase. I had bought my parents a 10-inch digital frame from Brookstone a year or so back. While the Brookstone frame is nice this Viewsonic is far better when it comes to image quality. The Brookstoone frame is best when viewed directly. The Viewsonic is fairly clear even when viewed at an angle. There are some photos that do not show on the frame. I am assuming that the files are damaged. It would be nice if there were an option to delete such files within the picture frame's menu. However. the only way to delete pictures is by having the frame connected to your computer. The issue with that is the pictures do not show as damaged or unable to be seen when viewing them on the computer (in this case the computer sees the picture frame as an external drive). I have not had much experience using this frame (it arrived 6 days ago but I only now decided to put photos on it to have them pre-loaded for my brother on Christmas). However, I would definitely recommend this frame. Especially if you can get it on sale for around $70. I should mention that the screen dimensions are not quite like that of an 8X10 or 5X7. The display is a bit narrow compared to typical photo configurations (if you were to compare it to an 8x10 the screen would be more like 7x10 or even 6 and a half x 10.
