SYBA PCI USB 2.0 4+1 shared port controller card Model SD-VIA-5U

Pros: Gives me USB 2.0 capability, 4+1 ports, increases speed alot!

Cons: nothing i can think of

Overall Review: I got this for my Dimension 8100(I know, time for an upgrade). I upgraded from 4 USB 1.1s to 4+1 USB 2.0s I am using this card for the wireless adapter I am using to type this review. The card increased my wireless speed from 6.0MBPS to 30MBPS on average! RECOMMENDED!

Logitech M305 Black 1 x Wheel USB RF Wireless 1000 dpi Mouse
Logitech M305 Black 1 x Wheel USB RF Wireless 1000 dpi Mouse

Pros: Wireless, good dpi, micro receiver

Cons: really really small...hard to control if you have big hands

Overall Review: This is a REALLY small mouse, it has a good design, but it is just not worth getting...I have man hands and I can only fit my index finger and my middle finger on it. For 20 some dollars I expected more. Get the M310 instead, it is bigger and fits man hands better.

CF card

Transcend 2GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model TS2GCF133
Transcend 2GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model TS2GCF133

Pros: Quick Works with the Syba IDE to CF adapter

Cons: Maybe not enough space for a linux OS. 2.2GB is the lowest I've seen other than dang(newegg sensor) small linux or some other very small OS

IDE to CF card adapter

SYBA SD-CF-IDE-DI IDE to Compact Flash Adapter ( Direct Insertion Mode )
SYBA SD-CF-IDE-DI IDE to Compact Flash Adapter ( Direct Insertion Mode )

Pros: Shows up as hard drive in my 01 Dell Dimension 8100. Plan on using it to either have a version of linux or for hosting a freenas server so my HDD isn't on all the time

Cons: none so far

TP-LIK TL-SG105

TP-Link 5 Port Gigabit Ethernet Network Switch - Ethernet Splitter | Plug & Play | Fanless | Sturdy Metal w/ Shielded Ports | Traffic Optimization | Unmanaged | Limited Lifetime Protection(TL-SG105)
TP-Link 5 Port Gigabit Ethernet Network Switch - Ethernet Splitter | Plug & Play | Fanless | Sturdy Metal w/ Shielded Ports | Traffic Optimization | Unmanaged | Limited Lifetime Protection(TL-SG105)

Pros: -Awesome switch. -Fast data speeds -No designated Uplink port so you just plug your router into one and go.

Cons: -Not that I can think of at this time -Wait, I got one. A week after I got it the price went down 5 dollars to make it about $20 :(

Overall Review: I was a little hesitant about buying this switch because I had not heard alot about them before this. I saw a couple at school last year and decided to get it. Saved myself about $10 from the netgear one and it works probably just as well as the netgear one. I'm only running a bunch of 10/100 stuff so I haven't actually tested out the gigabit capabilities of this, but I will be building a gaming PC soon. Right now it is serving internet to my home file/UpnP server, my Dell netbook/laptop hybrid(terrible machine), and an HP my aunt gave me(I use that to rip the movies and music and stuff to save my laptops bandwidth). I have a wifi signal extender plugged into the fifth port on the switch now to give me internet to all of it.
