Pros: A quiet and fast drive. Warranty is the best in class.
Cons: Runs a bit hotter than my old 4200 RPM drive, and draws a bit more power.
Overall Review: The original Hitachi disk in my Dell Inspiron 600m was suffering from some bad sectors, and its 60GB size was getting too cramped for all my data. I was looking for a faster, quieter disk of at least 100GB and settled on this one. I chose Seagate because of their reputation for producing fast, reliable, and quiet notebook drives. So far, the ST9120821A has not disappointed me. While it's too early to offer any meaningful feedback on its reliability, its faster rotational speed and larger cache have produced a distinct improvement in the system's responsiveness. It is also quiet enough not to be noticeable, even during periods of heavy activity with little fan use; a great improvement over the old clicking monster Hitachi. The only caveat is that, if you are upgrading from a slower-speed drive as I did, be prepared for your battery life to suffer a little, and for a hotspot to form in your laptop's case.
