Surprisingly good card for it's price

StarTech.com 5.1 Channel PCI Surround Sound Card Adapter
StarTech.com 5.1 Channel PCI Surround Sound Card Adapter

Pros: runs with the onboard audio if you have one. Crisp surround sound and music for gaming. 5.1 surround sound driver support surprisingly good sound for the price.

Cons: no windows 10 drivers on installation CD occasional distortion in bass if it is cranked up

Overall Review: I will start with the con. If you have windows 10 and you bought this card, discard the CD. It has NO driver support for Windows 10, and windows 10 doesn't recognize the new hardware once you put it in. Also don't bother going to the media website on the CD (Cmedia), they don't support drivers past Windows 8. You have to go to the product vendor site (StarTech.com) and type in the part number on your card or box to get the right drivers. Once you download the drivers and install them, then you can do the real work Once I got the drivers loaded and completed the installation, i was amazed at the crisp, clean sound for a card so cheap. It handled my creative 5.1 surround sound speakers excellently, and the music was theater quality. i watched a movie with this card in and it sounded almost as good as it would being in a theater. And using this card for the games Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and The sims 4, i was impressed. However, too much bass makes a bit of distortion; i would recommend keeping the bass at baseline or slightly higher at the most. This is definitely a card i would recommend for the budget conscious once you get past the pain of installing the drivers. In fact, this card also runs my Gaming rig.

You get what you pay for

Sabrent 7 Slot USB 2.0 Internal Memory Card Reader & Writer (CRW-UINB)
Sabrent 7 Slot USB 2.0 Internal Memory Card Reader & Writer (CRW-UINB)

Pros: Easy setup all card readers work

Cons: Doesnt seat well in the 3.5 drive bay it was design to fit in, and it moves occasionally. Indicator light is bright and doesnt shut off even when computer is shut down. Only reads one card at a time.

Overall Review: For less than 10.00, this card reader is what you are paying for. It does read all types of cards and enable you to use them on your computer. However, it doesn't seat very well in your 3.5 drive bay. and tends to move if you place a card in it. So basically if you want it to stay flushed on your drive bay opening, you may have to go in and reseat it. Now the biggest gripe i had is that the reader would only read one card at a time, so if you place two cards in it, one will read but the other would not be recognized. This is a pain if you want to transfer from one card to the other; you would have to load your files/photos, etc. onto your computer, take out the first card, then take out and replace the other card in. then load the files from the computer. I just bought it to read cards and do occasional transfers, and for 10.00, this was what i got.

Awesome card. Best i have ever had

ASUS GeForce GTX 650 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card GTX650-E-2GD5

Pros: runs all my games at high and ultra mode Stays cool with extra large fan Had it over a year, and still running things in high and ultra mode

Cons: Fan is Extra big, my only complaint. covers the pci-e slot but i don't use anything there anyway

Overall Review: Had this card over a year and it is still going strong. keeping all drivers updated keeps my games going at fantastic framerates per second (On ultra, WoW runs raids at 60fps, can't get that from some higher end cards). The best graphic card i have ever had by far.

Very good fan

Enermax Marathon 80mm Silent PC Case Fan UC-8EB
Enermax Marathon 80mm Silent PC Case Fan UC-8EB

Pros: quiet generates a lot of blowing air. does keep my entire computer cool with the way i have it flowing from the front part.

Cons: A little hard to install with the small screws (not really a con, but with someone who is clutzy like me it can be a pain). doesnt light up brightly (again, not really a con.)

Overall Review: I would recommend this fan if you want to replace any 80mm case fans. it does blow a lot of air, and it's flowing keeps my overclocked 8 core processor cool. Even for those not budget conscious, this would still be a great fan.

Asus is a name i can trust.

Pros: Burns great Easy setup Great drive for the price conscious

Cons: no special thrills. Not really a con though.

Overall Review: I have several Asus components in my built computer rig. Never had problems with them. This drive is solid, never overheated, and surprising quick when burning CDS or DVDS. It may look plain, but i never had problems with it.

Must have gotten a bad one shipped

CORSAIR CX-M Series CX650M 650W 80 PLUS BRONZE Haswell Ready ATX12V & EPS12V Semi-Modular Power Supply CP-9020103-NA

Pros: none right now.

Cons: Hooked it up to my computer, turned it on, and killed everything. Killed my Motherboard, SSd drive, external drive, card reader, DVD rw/ and external drive. Heard a loud "pop" when i turned on my computer.

Overall Review: I know Corsair has good products; i heard great reviews on this. I bought it for the reviews. However, i think i got a bad one shipped. it blew my motherboard to Hell, and killed several components. This has costed me over $400 to get a new motherboard, new drive, and i returned it promptly.
