Pros: Lots of interior space
ssi-eeb motherboard support
decent included fans
lots of ventilation
Cons: right side cable management grommet holes are covered by ssi-eeb motherboard
removing at least one drive cage is required to fit power supply and cables
Overall Review: I bought the case to fit the Asus Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI a ssi-eeb workstation MB
There are very few vertical cases available for that form factor.
Building in the case was pretty easy due to the huge space.
Lots of available drive mounting points.
very flexible fan and radiator options.
Cable management was good especially for smaller motherboards
Pros: Fast machine. Fast video card. Good hard drive speed.
I bought it for video editing and it is a good match for that task. Good deal for the money.
Cons: The keyboard is not favorite, but it works ok.
The drivers for the MB USB3 ports got replaced and the USB3 ports became unusable. Replacing the MS drivers with Gigabytes solved that problem. The system would not shut down until the drivers were replaced. It was very frustrating until I figured it out. It appeared to be an problem caused by automatic windows update not a vendor problem.
Overall Review: In a previous review I gave the system a low rating because of the USB and shutdown problems. I figured out the problem and
Pros: Disk wizard made it easy to transfer and set up new drive.
Windows experience was the same as my 500g 7200rpm drive.
Cons: Even though the disk wizard transferred everything ok and the system booted ok ( win7 64 ) I started having OS problems. No windows update, and could not install applications.
After a bit of searching I found that I needed to upgrade the Intel chipset drivers for the ATA interface. No help from the seagate site. After update everything is fine.
Pros: Nice features for the price.
Nice selection of ports.
Cons: Fusion finish shows fingerprints too well.
Took a while to remove the excess software.
Screen resolution is odd, but you get used to it.
Pros: win 7 experience memory score went from 5.9 to 7.2 on my Toshiba i7 a505-s6035
Cons: price dropped right after I ordered, thought I had waited long enough. Good time to buy now.
Overall Review: Now I need a faster hard drive
Pros: fast and quiet
Cons: none so far
Pros: fast processor, bright display
hardware switch for the touchpad.
sleep charge usb port.
Cons: kind of low resolution for the video
Overall Review: Toshiba has repositioned the ports towards the back sides.
I like it better than a satellite purchased last year with all of the ports on the front sides.
Pros: Nice display. Fast.
Lots of ports. eSata!
Cons: all of the ports are on the front sides which can make for a congested work area.
Fingerprints really show on the 'fusion finish'. It does come with a microfiber cloth to wipe them up.
Pros: Plug and play. Bumped Vistas experience rating from 3.3 to 5.4.
Card fit in a mid sized case just fine. Quiet fan, and using ati autotune for a little overclock it still runs at 54c ( up from 51). Don't game much but it improved video and tv playback.
Cons: None to speak of. I haven't tried to get the rebate yet.
Pros: Quiet, fast, not a bad deal either.
Pretty much usable out of the box.
Cons: Keyboard needed the dongle nerve pinch before it worked. About once a week it needs to be refreshed. Not too much different from some of the other wireless keyboard/mouse combos.
Look in the maintenance and troubleshooting booklet before giving up if it doesn't work for you. They should make the info part of the setup instructions.
Overall Review: I added a PCP&C 610 eps12 PS and will upgrade the video card after the prices settle between nV and ATI.
