Eye candy special
Pros: I ran this card on 2 M/B's and found great improvement on the old system in graphics over my old 9600gt. Then I moved it to the new system and found all the games I play (WIC,Sins,Flatout UC,TF2) with settings all the way up and frame rates still in the 35-40 fps range
Cons: The card is tall due to heatpipes on the top. In my case the side panel has a 200mm fan and the heat pipes on the card contact the fan frame a bit, not enough to be a concern for me but a narrow case may be an issue.
Great if you can find one
Pros: Standard card reader. USB 3.0 that hooks directly to the motherboard header. Solid build quality.
Cons: Supply is low waited 2 weeks for this to be available. Got it in today and find it is out of stock again.
Overall Review: Why would the other card reader manfacturers not get the hint on this? The last thing I want when I get an INTERNAL DEVICE for my computer is to have to run a cable out the back of the case to plug the thing in!!!!!!
Pros: This ram not only looks good but works great too. Blue LEDs are bright and with the M.O.D. utility they are able to be customized, not only brightness but pattern and you can swtch them to orange also. You can also turn off the lights but who would do that!
Cons: Avalibility. Crucial has the Red/Green in dual channel kits but not the Orange/Blue? Also when I ordered I had to do 2 seperate orders to get 2 sticks one from CA and one from NJ
Pros: Gigabyte need I say more! I have had several Gigbyte boards and all are still going strong even after 7-8 years. Of course the old board is slow but it is only 500mhz and the new is 3.2 ghz quad core. This board has all the ports I can ever see needing with 6 Sata and 2 Sata raid ports 8 usb in back and 2 up front what more could you need. I hope this board will take on upgrades like the old ones have.
Cons: The BIOS did not support the 955 chip out of the box but why would a board bought a month before the chip came out support a 2 day old chip. A quick BIOS falsh and as was well. The BIOS flash utility runs on a floppy if you dont have windows installed to run Qbios. I would like to see a way of using a flash drive to flash BIOS, cause who uses a floppy anymore.
Pros: I got this ram for the timings and the speed. Then I was reading reviews waiting for the ram to get here I seen a review saying "the light show is awsome". I have to agree the blue leds on the bottom of the chip light the M/B for a good way around the sockets and the red and yellow/green leds on top flash depending on how you use the ram look cool. To really get a good show do a benchmark or play a game that is resource intense. Of course you might be looking at the ram more than the screen:) OH and the speed and performance is not bad either.
Cons: So like I said I got this ram for the speed and timings. Then found out about the leds and got excited till a coworker pointed out "You dont have a window in your case" :( But I think I can fix that!
