Pros: Cool and Quit 30-32 Idle with the fans as exhaust in a case with a 250mm Side Fan. Never hit above 40 C while playing Far Cry 3 at 1080p Ultra.
You can change the color of the FX
Push/Pull Fans are quiet
Cons: Size! the 2 fans and radiator stack up to 4-5 inches.
The Hoses are not easily adjustable unless you want to take them off and cut them.
Overall Review: You have to have the motherboard out of the case to mount the cooling pad so plan ahead on your hose direction and how the clamp sits.
I mounted the radiator where my 120mm rear fan was. To save space I mounted one fan outside the case and ran the wiring inside through a small gap where my power supply goes. I then mounted the radiator to the case itself inside and the second fan to it. To mount the fan outside the case you will need longer screws and washers to keep it from scarping.
If you have to install a fan externally I suggest placing the screws in the fan, then using a piece of plastic and your hand, or tape to keep them in place. This will allow you to put on washers and keep them from sliding off when installing, while also keeping the screws from sliding out of the fan.
Pros: Bios are powerful and allow for great control/overclocking. And you can use your mouse. Not heat issues.
Optical Out (SPDIF)
2 USB 3.0 connectors
Cons: Didn't have a spot on the board for the firewire connector on the front of my case. Not a huge issue, I just like having everything completely used.
Overall Review: If you only have 2 sticks of Ram make sure you put them in the blue slots to ensure boot.
Spam F2 after you supply power to get to the bios, no real prompt.
No on board video out.
Pros: Internal LED can be switched off and on by the Red Button in back.
All the wires are mesh covered.
2 dedicated 6+2 Graphics Pins.
Cons: No real instructions in the Box (not really needed)
Instead of Sockets the power supply has a pigtail of connectors on back.
Overall Review: The 20+4 main power connector is a little long, I used zipties to hide it up in the drive bays to keep it out of the way of airflow.
Pros: Fins dissipate heat ideally even without a dedicated fan blowing across them.
Last time I bought RAM, 16gb would have cost $200+
The color of the fins is a metallic blue, which almost seems to glow when combined with ambient blue LEDS in my case.
Overall Review: When installing the RAM try to push it down evenly as possible same as all RAM. No spacing issues.
My computer did initially set these to 1333 MHz, so make sure you go into your bios and change it back to 1866 MHz.
Pros: Worked fine
Loads fast enough for me
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: I know people have issues with HDD upon arrival and that is all I can review right now. I will post an update in about a year if everything still works, or sooner if it dies.
Pros: It a basic USB keyboard. Cheap. Has a full sized backspace and the delete, insert set of keys right where I like them.
Cons: LEDs for the locks are green and clash with my case :p
Pros: Giant 250mm Side Fan pumps all the cool air into the case you will ever need. I have the included temperature sensor in my case for ambient and it stays around 30 C.
120mm Fan is silent.
Everything is blue!!!!
You can remove both side panels.
Easy Mobo Install
Everything is quick install, snaps work great.
LCD panel and fan control knob on front work great.
Cons: My case came with a wire broken off the power button, nothing that my soldering gun and hot glue couldn't fix.
The expansion slots have a little barb that sticks out in between each one. If you buy a a graphics card that takes up two slots make sure to grind down or cut it off.
Overall Review: I bought this with a water cooled CPU that had push/pull on the radiator. I put the radiator and one fan on the inside of the case, and one fan on the outside of the case. I moved the 120mm fan to the front, removed the bottom drive hanger, and made it an intake. With the side and front as intakes I made everything else an exhaust. Even though I was exhausting through the radiator I am able to achieve 30-32 C idle with all the intakes.
Pros: I got this 670 for $299 after the MIR. I have only ran it on Far Cry 3 at 1080p and I get a solid 60 FPS 90% of the time, only slight drops the rest of the time. I am so glad I got this for so cheap.
Free Borderlands 2!!!
Overall Review: Fits beautifully in my ATX mid case.
Many people seem to be complaining about the noise of the cooler. I really only find it noticeable at 75% fans and it is the only fan I can hear in my case. I suggest using EVGA percision to set a custom fan curve. I keep my fans at 60% until the card hits 40 C then bump it up 10% for every 5C.
Here is my basic cooling and fan setup for a reference to noise levels.
Water Cooled CPU - Exhaust
250mm Side Fan - Intake
120mm Front Fan - Intake
