Pros: Bought this dock to easily store and charge my BlackBerry 9850. So far it has performed exactly as expected and for the price it was more than worth it.
Pros: It looked like it would work and the price
Cons: Did not work with my Blackberry 9850. While it did "technically" fit the phone I was worried that the phone would fall off. The phone did not click into the holder and after less than a week the phone was so loose that I just tossed it in the garbage. Waster of money!
Overall Review: Look for a different holder...this will not satisfy you
Pros: Set comes packaged in a convenient carry case that securely holds each of the drives... perfect as an extra set
Overall Review: Great price and received relatively quickly.
Pros: Easy setup with up to 8 drives in RAID. Currently used in a WHS 2011 build with 5 WD Green Drives in RAID 5 for backing up my Video (BluRay / DVD) collection. The card has worked flawlessly and the performance has caused no issues is streaming video.
Cons: Wish it had included the cables for connection to the SATA drives. Guess thought that with the cost of the cables it would keep the price of the card down if I needed to buy a new card.
Overall Review: For the vlaue to performance I am more than pleased.
Pros: No issues with my WD Green drives and have used them for a recent WHS 2011 build as well as a prior WHS V2. I have seven internal WD Green drives and they all work without issue. Guess I will have to wait until the supply channel is oncreased again and the prices drop to a more respectable price. I can't justify the price of these drives knowing what I previously paid.
Cons: None to date...drives work without issue
Overall Review: I planned on purchasing several additional drives for backing up my server but ever since the flodding in Thiland the prices has more than doubled.
Guess I will have to wait until the supply channel is oncreased again and the prices drop to a more respectable price. I can't justify the price of these drives knowing what I previously paid.
Pros: Excellent case as usual from Lian Li. This is my third case from Lian Li but my first full tower. The case is very large and probably bigger than I expected even though I knew the measurements. The materials or fit of the case are perfect. I bought a full tower to build a new WHS 2011 and this is a good use for the case. I have nine drives installed and everything fits well. The case allows for tool free installation but I did secure a couple if items with screws afterwards. This is a quality case...you get what you pay for.
Overall Review: None
Pros: Good color accuracy with no shift in colors when moving from side to side or top down. Colors match well to what I print on an Epson R800 which is the main reason I purchased this monitor. I purchased a calibration kit and haven't used it yet as the printout match what is on the screen...pretty pleased to date.
Overall Review: Going to a widescreen from a NEC IPS monitor is wonderful...especially when working in Lightroom. The extra space is great.
Others have mentioned the blue "on" light...while it is bright it hasn't been an issue for me.
Pros: Excellent drive for my Windows Home Server. I now have two of these drives installed in my system and anticipate a long service life. The WHS is on 24/7 and streams movies, both DVD and BluRay, without any issues. I needed to replace a WD 1.5Gb drive that wasn't rated for 24/7 operation. These drives sit in my case in the back of a closet...SpeedFan indicates no issues, low heat...between 90 - 95 degress, and low noise.
Cons: None so far...placed the drives in the system, added to pool and no problems since.
Overall Review: Will probably add another drive in the near future to allow duplication of the folder in my WHS. Have drives for a couple of months.
Pros: Super speed increase over my previous e6600 Core 2 Duo. My access and work in Photoshop has greatly increased due to this CPU.
Cons: 1. Didn't even bother with the heatsink as the Intel sinks are usually too loud and not quite enough.
2. The CPU price dropped $45 since I bought it a couple of weeks ago
Overall Review: Using a Asus P5Q-E board and Vista
Pros: Worked out of the box with no issues and has support for Home Theater. Runs quietly.
Cons: Needed to update drivers from Nvidia to get correct resolution but that seems to have been the case on every video card I purchase.
Overall Review: Great price with the mail in rebate.
Pros: Excellent drive that is perfect as my boot drive. I have several Green drives and this is better suited as my my drive. So far it has been a perfect performer and the price point is perfect to replace my older 500Gb drives in a Vista rebuild which are now used for backup data.
Cons: None - Zero
Overall Review: Previously purchased Seagate and had major issues with two drives...never should have left the Western Digital brand...they have been perfect for years in mys other systems.
Pros: Bought this Mobo to replace a prior P35 Gigabyte board and am very pleased to date. I initially thought I had a DOA board when the board refused to post. The onboard On/Off and reset switches made it real easy to troubleshoot the board prior outside the case. After disconnecting and then replacing every component I found out the CPU needed to be reseated (odd). The board now runs great with Vista, 4Gb Corsair and a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550.
Cons: No major issues - Little slow to boot and recognize the drives.
Overall Review: This board came with the prior BIOS which is dated 3/30/2009 v2001. The enclosed CD had mostly older drivers...downloaded all of the drivers first from the Asus website and loaded the newer drivers if they were available.
Pros: Drives work great in a Windows Home Server and their large size along with the reasonable price enable me to upload all of my DVD and Blu-ray discs to the WHS for streaming to my HTPCs. I have two of these drives in the WHS and they both work great are quiet and run cool.
Cons: None to date and none on a previously owned and operating Green drive.
Overall Review: Agree with Ron below...not Seagate. Had two Seagate 1.5Tb drives that failed after less than two weeks...replaced them with two 1.5Tb green drives. Would have purchased these first but they were out of stock and I wasn't patient...my tough luck.
Pros: Quickly rips DVD (15 minutes) and Blu-ray/HD-DVD (45 minutes) to hard drive. The drive is quiet and operates flawlessly.
Overall Review: Used this first in a Windows Home Server and now in a HTPC...works great if you don't need to burn HD data
Pros: Connections needed to run a HTPC. Board is compact with all the connections needed to hook up to a HDMI TV. The integrated video was perfect for my needs.
Cons: Not great for gaming but then again I use my xBox 360 fotr games. As a HTPC there are none.
Overall Review: This HTPC is hooked up via the 1Gb LAN connection to a Windows Home Server to stream movies. Runs perfectly.
Pros: Quiet drive for a HTPC...this drive is perfect for my needs. I wanted a quiet drive and this fits the bill.
Cons: None to date...own several Green drives for a WHS
Overall Review: Not storing a lot on this drive as I access my movies over a Windows Home Server that is also using WD Green drives...currently one 1.0Tb and two 1.5Tb Green drives. They are all quiet, run cool and access movies fast enough for Blu-ray and HD-DVD titles...no complaints from me
Pros: Large size and relatively low cost...that is it
Cons: Everything else. Bought two of these drives for a Windows Home Server to store DVD movies because of the size and the cost. First drive went in without any problems and was at 97% capacity...second drive never loaded any files...it showed as available buit never worked. I decided to get a WD 1.5Tb to replace the failing drive and before the new drive arrived the original drive started to crash. I put the new drive in and was able to transfer approx. 20% of the contents when I was unable to get any further data off the drive. I should have read the reviews about the drive and not purchased it...the drive apparently continues to have problems. STAY AWAY
Overall Review: Prior to returning the drives for a refund I checked the firmware and seagate.com and the drive was apparently not one of the drives that has been having the issue. My drive just randomly started to stop working...it would start at a reboot and then stop. Not really crashed but not working either. Learned my leason and will stick with Western Digital.
Pros: Excellent quality and a case that fits in well with the rest of my components. The fit and finish is of good quality and what I would expect from Antec while the interior is well organized with no sharp edges. Nice to have the LCD screen which blends in well.
Cons: iMon / iMedian. I purchased this case partially for the use of the remote control and the iMon interface leave a lot to be desired. The connections within the case were not well written and I needed to go the the Antec website which gave new instructions in the FAW section. The cables for the LCD need seperate connections that were not documented and only worked after I found a website review of the case...showed exactly how to connect...this should be added to the case manual.
Overall Review: Other than the issues with the iMopn / iMedian this is a great case and I would get it again. I will probably continue to work my way through the UI to get it to work the way I want.
