They are used datacenter drives work as designed no fuss
Pros: I put these in as replacement for smaller, older drives that were WAY past their "good by" date. We are talking 1TB and 500GB WD and Hitachi drives. These were roomy and offered at a great price. All the values for "re-manufactured" drives were reset. These all pass SMART scans and hold data well and are not too loud. The drives arrived tightly packed in a case with the floating clam shell and in anti-static bags. These are helium filled for extra reliability. Only time will tell. I could get millions of hours or just thousands, anyone's guess. I keep stuff backed up (not to these). They seem like they will stand up to the light use I give them and serve for many years to come. They arrived quickly and weren't partitioned or formatted in any way. These were exactly what I wanted.
Cons: They are probably a bit louder than my other drives, I'm unable to tell. They are decently fast. I don't have benchmarks to prove it but they'll serve my needs.
Overall Review: You need big spinney drives that won't break the bank? These are it. Data center caliber reliability for all your storage needs.
Good drive and stable, reliability is questionable.
Pros: They ran and stored data, they worked on a home NAS array for a period of 1.5-2yrs. Seem decently fast and cool without a great deal of noise. I am used to a lot of big spinny drives.
Cons: This product failed after 1.5-2yr mark. Seemed error prone from the get go then started really misbehaving and throwing errors in S.M.A.R.T, I hooked the drive up for the final data clean and it errored out in linux and warned of imminent failure. I am now starting the RMA process, which will take time but is painless as far as setting it up goes with WD. We'll see how the replacement behaves. I am a little wary of the remaining drive. Caveat, I did have these shipped intially via standard shipping and then a cross country move later with a moving company but were labled clearly and in an enclosure, so I wouldn't rule out physical issues either.
Overall Review: This is not a bad product but I will probably NOT be buying this series again because of the questionable behavior in one out of two drives.
Useful lab box for older hardware
Pros: Got linux running via USB without a hitch. Video card worked, first time. System booted, first time. The inside and system overall are super CLEAN. It's apparent this seller cares about the quality of the systems being sent out. Not a dust bunny to be seen and system works as expected. I didn't take the heatsink off to inspect but the large xenon cooler seems to be intact. Comes with a NEW power cable and limited warranty card. BIOS is not locked far as I can tell. System time is accurate so CMOS battery appears to be stable. There is plenty of room for storage expansion.
Cons: There is some minor marring on the case but this is REFURB hardware. I don't think there are many free PCI express slots available. The case is HUGE. Minimalist mini systems beware. Do not purchase if you are short on space.
Overall Review: This is great for someone who is learning or wanting to "graduate" to a more pro-type lab environment for home use. If you aren't afraid of taking the plunge on older hardware and know what you are getting into this might be the ticket.
A good office/gaming chair for the wife
Pros: Seems built sturdy and to specifications. This chair has a reclining back and adjusts a number of ways. My wife seems to enjoy this chair and we'll see if it holds up to the long term. We are both > 250 lbs but no one is over 300 lbs which influenced my main purchasing decision. Full discloser: I have a secretlabs titan, a different caliber of chair and a beast in it's own right. This is NOT comparable to that chair but it is good for a medium duty gaming chair. The pillows and lumbar support seem of decent quality. Do try and get this chair on sale.
Cons: The footrest feels flimsy or like it might bend or snap. For example, if you decided to get up while the footrest was extended, you might just break the whole thing.
Overall Review: I would recommend this chair to larger folks looking for a budget conscious medium duty gaming chair. This has an e-sports type of look to it and is "streamlined" but stays reserved in black and white.
This Thing sucks, I'm sure this can handle the competition
Pros: First off, We have a larger 2000 sq ft home with an upstairs and downstairs with hard floors. There is lots of dust, dirt and leaves constantly being tracked in. This will handle most of the mess with ease and get the low pile rugs too. Only got to use the roller and a couple of the attachments. We are still playing around with where we want to mount this vac so it isn't laying around. The two batteries are a nice feature and charging time is reasonable. The filters are good. The regular bin empty/cycle is easy to use.
Cons: Things get stuck in the upper canister, requiring complete removal. More of a design flaw than a real con.
Overall Review: I cannot vouch for the robustness of the warranty as there has not been an issue yet. This vac will clean just as good as the competition it feels like.
One stick works well
Pros: One stick is recognized and has option for XMP 2.0 auto settings. Unknown if they work or not.
Cons: Don't know what's up with one schtick, it is failed to recognize by every mainboard I put it in. Seems as though one out of two is bad. I'm in process of getting the lifetime warranty , only time will tell. The lead time on warranty replacement is 10-15 BUSINESS days, do you really want to be down for that long?
Overall Review: I am using this with a Ryzen 2600 build and NVME storage and swapped out two motherboards as I suspected something was wrong. Turns out one stick is not recognized at all. Poof and gone.
