Not designed for my system

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM

Pros: This memory kit is a great value and would perform quite well on INTEL machines. I also think it looks pretty neat.

Cons: In my new Windows 7 system, with a Phenom II 965 140W and ASUS M4A79XTD EVO, this memory booted up fine at first. However, it performed at only 1333 speeds rather than 1600. This wasn't a big deal to me and was something I could live with. However, I turned off the PC overnight and when I started it the next morning it kept rebooting before getting to the log-in screen. I ran Memtest86 and within 20 minutes I already had 2048 errors from this RAM. I decided then that this memory was not suited for my system.

Overall Review: Obviously, as I had read from other people here, this memory is not fit to run with this setup. I returned it and got a different memory kit that works fine. This is nothing against G.Skill, however, since they say it is designed for Intel.

Most Critical Review

Love the solar power, but keyboard itself is poorly implemented...

Logitech K750 2.4GHz Wireless Solar Powered Keyboard - Black
Logitech K750 2.4GHz Wireless Solar Powered Keyboard - Black

Pros: - Wireless & Solar Powered - I can move it around and pretty much never have to replace the batteries. - It has not run out of battery since the day I bought it (about 2.5 months ago) - It is relatively easy to keep clean with a soft bristle brush and the microfiber cloth Logitech provides to you. The microfiber cloth doesn't do the job alone very well - I recommend a brush to help (you can steal the one from your vacuum, that will work).

Cons: - This keyboard is pretty poor ergonomically, in my opinion. My last keyboard was a Microsoft Digital Media Pro keyboard, and switching to this keyboard made it much more difficult to type as it feels the keys are more squashed together. Writing research papers, I kept missing keys. But I have gotten more used to it over time. - Logitech merged the F-keys and the special-function keys into one - so if you want to use one or the other, you have to press and/or hold the function key to get it to work - In Linux, the state of the function key does not get remembered like it does in Windows - It's supposed to remember that you pressed the function key so it switches to the other type of button until you press the function key again. It doesn't do that, so you have to hold the function key while you press any of the buttons. - In Linux, the Logitech solar app does not work, so you cannot know the state of your battery unless you open up a Windows operating system or the battery dies.

Overall Review: I really love the idea of the solar keyboard, I just wish the keyboard itself was better implemented. Hopefully this will be just the start of the solar keyboards and some new ones with better implementation come out. My primary wishes for this keyboard would be better ergonomics and, in addition, for the function and f-keys to be separate. I can live without the solar app not working on Linux. For $80, I'm not really sure this was money wise spent, since I will likely soon be looking for a different keyboard which has better ergonomics, regardless of whether it is solar powered or not. The wireless and solar powered functionality only appeals to a certain extent when the keyboard itself sucks to type on.

Works like a charm!

Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound AS5-3.5G
Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound AS5-3.5G

Pros: The compound works great on my Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop. Before applying Artic Silver 5, my laptop would run to around 62 degrees without the fan, then run fan constantly to and at 43 degrees. After cleaning the laptop's fan and applying some Artic Silver 5, my computer goes up to 55 degrees, the fan kicks on, and cools it MUCH quicker than before down to 35 degrees! Then the fan actually turns off (It was not turning off before)!

Cons: None

Overall Review: Made sure to only apply just a little thin layer using a miniature library card.

Whoa this is awesome!!!

Rosewill RX-358 V2 BLK - Black, 3.5" SATA to USB & eSATA External Enclosure with Internal 80 mm Fan
Rosewill RX-358 V2 BLK - Black, 3.5" SATA to USB & eSATA External Enclosure with Internal 80 mm Fan

Pros: Keeps my 640gb WD drive very cool, it is quite sturdy, had a fan on-off switch, a drive on-off switch, comes with esata cable, and comes also with a usb cable.

Cons: Instructions were excellent except it was hard to tell which screws they were talking about at different points. All turned out well, though.

Overall Review: This drive enclosure blows me away. It is by far the best one I have had and believe it will keep my drive alive for a while. Some posters say that the design is funky with the fan being on top, but this is wrong... it has grates on the front and back of the enclosure which the fan pushes the air through. I put my hand in front of the grates and I feel cool air coming out. EXCELLENT.

Great enclosure for any internal laptop hard drive!

Rosewill RX81U-ES-25A 2.5" SATA to USB 2.0 External Enclosure
Rosewill RX81U-ES-25A 2.5" SATA to USB 2.0 External Enclosure

Pros: Trusted Rosewill brand, very sleek design, stays cool after hours upon hours of use, recognized immediately by my computer, compact, and sturdy.

Cons: No AC adapter, so you might need to use both usb cables but that's no biggy since now days you can get usb hubs. Gets a little warm, but I think that's because it hugs the drive.

Overall Review: There's an LED light that many here complain about - it really isn't that bad unless you like to sleep with it on your pillow. This was very easy to attach and put together, it even came with a screwdriver!! After looking at many hard drive enclosures, I could tell that this was going to be a good one and I am very satisfied.

Best Hard Drive yet

Western Digital Scorpio Blue 160Gb 5400Rpm Sata 7Pin 8Mb Buffer 2.5Inch Low Profile (1.0 Inch) Notebook Drive
Western Digital Scorpio Blue 160Gb 5400Rpm Sata 7Pin 8Mb Buffer 2.5Inch Low Profile (1.0 Inch) Notebook Drive

Pros: Quiet, long-lasting, large capacity, fast, and at a great price.

Cons: None

Overall Review: I have absolutely loved this hard drive since the day I bought it. It holds tons of space and is very quiet. I never hear this drive running, ever. It sounds like its off. I have formatted this drive many, many times to install new operating systems and it is as good as new. The load cycle count is still around 77,000 after less than a years use; living up to its expectations. Being that this drive also runs at a low temperature, it contributes to a long life.
