Pros: Physically connected the cables.

Cons: Connected two SAS breakout connectors (attached to one port of LSI9200-8I) to esata connectors with no devices. One other SAS breakout was connected to a WD Red 6TB. Immediate problems - couldn't boot server or couldn't see the WD or WD experienced checksum errors. Disconnect these adapters and all OK. Reconnect adapters and errors persist. Interesting that the adapters introduced errors when the esata end was open.

Overall Review: Didn't work to connect an esata connector to an LSI SAS HBA , and caused problems for other devices connected to the HBA.
