Pros: Setup was a piece of cake, in less than 10 minutes I was up and running. Recognized by Mac OS X and Windows XP with zero problems. Solid feel. Ample ventiliation.
Cons: The included USB 2.0 cable is only about 2' long. Trivial, considering that sometimes a cable isn't even included.
Overall Review: I was going to buy a slightly cheaper enclosure, but this had the best reviews. I'm happy I spent a few extra bucks -- this is exactly what it should be, nothing more, nothing less.
Pros: This is my first experience with dual channel memory. So far I have had no problems and performance is well. I'm using this memory with a Celeron D 2.53 GHz in an Asus Vintage PE-1 barebone system. It's speedy for everyday use. Plug it in and go.
Cons: None so far. Solid performer.
Overall Review: Good RAM for the price. I haven't had any troubles and don't expect to for the life of my system. 1GB is an excellent amount for Windows XP, a noticeable improvement over 512MB.
Pros: It's a Western Digital. It's fast. It's simple. It's quiet. Compared to my Western Digital 120GB drive, this is a much quieter drive.
Cons: None to speak of.
Pros: I can't believe a keyboard like this is under $x. Simple and it works great. The keys have a softer feel than my normal Apple keyboard. Comes with software for the buttons on top, but most are supported natively with Windows XP.
Cons: None. For this price you simply cannot complain.
Pros: Great value, great product. This has burned everything I've thrown at it so far without any problems. Comes with PowerDVD 6 and Nero 6 and an extra beige faceplate. The black looks slick inside a black case. For a price like this, you can't ask for much more.
Cons: It's simple and it works. What's not to like?
Pros: Asus has done an excellent job with this system. I put together a sub-$350 system for my family to do normal computer stuff, and I'm really impressed at how easy everything went together. Update the BIOS, install the latest Asus drivers, and in no time this machine will just fly. I used the Windows BIOS updater and it worked flawlessly. Dual channel memory and SATA support is nice. Plus, it's really, really quiet. A slight whirrr if audible without any other ambient sound, but it's a soothing whirrr as opposed to other machines I've heard that almost whine. This was my first barebone build, and I'm wondering why I ever bothered purchasing everything separately before. Also, the case is very clean and slick looking. It's a simple matte black with a subtle orange glow on the power button. Nicely designed. Highly recommended!
Cons: It's a bit tight inside, and the power button feels a little flimsy. But it's a compact tower and look at the price! The cons are insignificant in light of the pros.
Overall Review: Real solid barebones build. For a price like this, you can't find anything better suited for web-browsing, storing digital photos, word processing, etc.
