Pros: Works out of the box. Great for 1440p gaming.Updated from previous review:Low Temps. Fan doesn't turn on when idle.Upgrading from MI 5700 evoke and I can see a difference in games like Overwatch. A big difference in Quake Champions. I actually got first place for once instead of being near last.
Cons: Long Card... I had to move things around in my antec 900 case to fit this cardEven with 256 bit memory, it's not as good as previous generation for mining (as of 3/25/2021). It's around 13% worse than my MSI 5700 evoke. Maybe with time, they will update scripts to support 6700 XT.Updated from previous review:the packaging is filmy and is difficult to reuse. There was unnecessary plastic stickers on both sides of the card and it took like 5 minutes just to remove it... They used their own patented packaging and there was no anti-static bag. I prefer the anti static bag... easier to use.Coil Wine. The temps are usually below 70 (It's spring and it's around 70F room temperature). The fan has coil wine at medium to high speeds.
Overall Review: You must connect both 6 pin and 8 pin for this GPU to work. I tried with just 8 pin and was wondering why there was nothing on my monitor... After 30 minutes of making sure everything is working, I decided to try and connect both power slots and that made it work.
Pros: Great Picture. No dead pixels. Screen size proportion is perfect for the height of my room.
Cons: It doesn't play movies directly from a USB stick. You'd have to use a laptop or HTPC to open movies.
Pros: Graphics, story line, and movie scenes.
Cons: The game is boring once you beat it on normal. Afterwards, there's just no point in playing. Nightmare, Hell, and Inferno is the same thing as normal but harder.
This is a waiting game. When you die, you have to wait up to 30 seconds to respawn. When you use skills, you have to wait up to 2 minutes to reuse the same skill. It's a waste of time. Boring game. Not worth $60.
Pros: Fast when it works.
Cons: First one failed after 4 months. The replacement they gave me failed after 6 months.
Overall Review: OCZ is not reliable. I can't believe newegg lets them advertise it as 2,000,000 hours MTBF. It doesn't last that long. Expect it to last 4-6 months. Spend an extra $20 and get yourself a more reliable SSD. The money will come back to you when you have to pay RMA shipping, the loss of data, and the time spent reinstalling
Pros: Faster than Siliconedge blue 128GB
Enough Space for all programs and games
Always the first one to finish loading a game
Cons: Not enough space for movies, but I have a extra hard drive for that.
The included drive bay doesn't come with nails and my chassis doesn't have nails that will fit through the drive bay
Overall Review: Some people say that an SSD isn't worth it, because having certain drives in raid is faster than an SSD, but going on raid will make your drive fail faster. An SSD has great speeds and has .01ms for fast boot times. It also consumes less power and takes less space.
Pros: -Can turn mouse wheel and the mouse lights off
-adjustable dpi through drivers
-macro buttons are useful for gaming/microphone
-many buttons available
Cons: -the place where you put your pinky and thumb feels wet.
-hard to brush off dust off mouse
-the transition from a balled mouse to a laser mouse is hard to get use to
-Razer drivers stopped working after editing macros and their technical support is unresponsive.
Overall Review: Razer technical support takes a long time for a response. I only get 1 email from them each week and each response doesn't solve the problem.
Pros: It now detects all 12gb of my memory; vista only detects 8gb
Cons: right click on desktop = windows explorer crashes
cant play unreal tournament 3
created lots of graphic bugs on most of my games
startup takes longer
Overall Review: I use intel i7 2.667, asus 4870x2, 300gb velociraptor, 1.5tb seagate, 6x2 tripple channel memory. i dont notice any speed improvements.
Pros: 2GB Space, can drag and drop. no wires needed to connect to computer
Cons: -eats up batteries more than the cheaper mp3 player i bid off e,bay which looks exactly the same as this one.
- the cap covering the usb came loose within a few days
Overall Review: It's not something to show off to your friends. It's just something that plays music. Look at the other people that paid hundreds of dollars for an ipod and this plays music just like an ipod. Sure, it's harder to see what the next song is, but you save lots of money for not knowing that.
Pros: I can't find anything to run 100% of it's CPU. Even unreal tournament 3 can only take up about 25%.
Cons: Really hot, you need a good cooling machine or you'd have some heating issues.
Pros: 6gb is more than you need for almost anything now.
Cons: Price, I paid $220, and it has been lowering ever since.
Pros: 6 SATA ports to install hard drives. I can install my new hard drive and keep my old ones on it too. Plenty of usb ports.
Cons: The sound also feels like it's delayed. I run a movie and it takes 3 seconds before I can hear sound. Doesn't have two ps2 ports to install my old keyboard and mouse, it can only fit either the mouse or the keyboard so I had to buy an adapter.
Overall Review: Don't worry about the 12gb memory capitcity. I'm using 6gb triple channel, 4870x2, i7 920, and it barely uses 2gb memory. So 6gb will last several years before I would have to add more.
Pros: Keeps the temperature cool with many fans on i7 920. Plenty of room, I even installed a bulky 4870x2 with tri fans on it. Plenty of room for hard drives and extra cd drives.
Cons: Well, It didn't fit on my computer table, part of it is sticking out, but that's partially my fault for not buying a big enought table. It also absorbs a lot of dust.
Pros: It feels good to tell people you have a 4870x2 and show off.
Cons: Poor Technical Support. This graphics card did not detect it's own gpu and ram on Windows Vista 64 bit. I contacted Asus technical support and they told me I had to update to the latest drivers, when I've already told them that I've made sure my drivers were up to date and I already reinstalled them several times. They told me to make a return and it would take 2-3 weeks, but I paid $500+ for this thing, I would expect a replacement before I send in my old one, or at least faster shipping.
Overall Review: Stay away, not recommended.
