Good so far5/28/2021 3:38:46 PM

Pros: Plenty fast for file storage Good price Great warranty

Cons: Slightly noisy. It it's definitely audible when it's operating. Not loud enough to be annoying but I'm surprised to get a drive this loud these days. It's louder than the last mechanical drives I bought 11 years ago, but not as loud as the drives I bought 13 years ago.

Overall Review: I got it because my old mechanical "storage" drive was painfully slow, so I moved it to the backup drive and use this one for my files. So far it's working great.

Didn't last3/8/2021 2:32:33 PM

Pros: It was cheap

Cons: It didn't last and no replacement warranty.

Overall Review: I bought it to replace an old DVD burner in an enclosure I bought many years ago. One thing to note that the plastics in the front of the drive didn't match the older drive at all, so I couldn't replace the front plate to make the enclosure look nice. I don't know if that's this drive or just the older drive was so old. UPDATE Mar 2021: With only very light use it has already started to fail. It has problems reading movies and has become very noisy when spinning up. Unfortunately the warranty only covers repairs, not replacement.

Working so far5/13/2020 10:16:50 AM

Overall Review: I haven't had time to do many tests with it, but it's working fine. It seems plenty speedy. Hopefully it keeps working for years for me.

There were no reviews, it was cheap, figured I'd test it.9/21/2019 12:27:59 PM

Pros: Cheap, very cheap for the size and speed. Timings running at 15-15-15-36

Cons: The motherboard detected it as 2133 MHZ I haven't had time to figure out if I can get it to run at 2666. I've got the same B450M-HDV motherboard that the first reviewer had, so it seems it's a motherboard compatibility problem.

Overall Review: Other than that, the RAM has been doing fine, the system is plenty fast for my needs. I'm still waiting to find out of OLOy's tech support exists or not. Maybe I'll call them later to see if they can sort out the speed settings.

It's doing great, especially for the price.12/19/2018 6:11:20 AM

Pros: It's an electric pressure cooker...

Cons: None so far

Overall Review: I wish I would have realized what it was before I bought it, as we already have manual pressure cookers that we use regularly. Still it's nice to have the electronic features.

Great, had it 7 months already.11/17/2018 4:36:56 PM

Pros: I like the viewing angle, the monitor's menu is easier to use than normal, good clear picture. It's large enough that I have room to not maximize every window I have open.

Cons: I don't like the wide aspect ratio, I'd rather get a 1920x1200 monitor next time.

Overall Review: I use it for gaming, work, etc. It's doing great.

Been good so far, I hope it lasts a long time.9/11/2017 9:02:12 AM

Pros: Really good performance for the price I got it. Not bad power usage. Tons of sensors to watch in GPU-Z. :) I can't hear the fans until they kick on high after it gets near 75 C, but they're not too loud. Very safe packaging.

Cons: A little hotter than I hoped for, seems to idle between 40 and 50, and go between 70 and 75 under load. Size isn't listed in the card's specs. Accessories aren't listed in the card's specs. Not impressed with the DVI-VGA adapter.

Overall Review: It shipped from Denver so it got here in just a couple days. The card's dimensions are about 8.75" long, 4.5" high, and 1.75" wide. It doesn't stick out past the end plate so as long as you've got 2 slots and long enough room in your case it should fit fine. It came with a DVI to VGA adapter and a Molex power adapter to hook it to two 4 pin molex connectors. Also the expected driver disk and manual. The top DVI port is the one the BIOS likes to use. The DVI to VGA adapter only fits in a DVI-I Dual link port, so my small 2nd VGA monitor has to go in the main plug, and my main monitor has to go in the 2nd port which is only a DVI-D Dual Link (It's missing the 4 pins). The adapter is also very hard to plug in, and the screws are impossible for my big hands to turn. I've seen people say online the fans shut off below 60 C to save the bearings, though that can be changed. I've decided to let it stay warm for now, since my last two video cards had their fans die.

Good bargain case.6/1/2017 7:49:52 AM

Pros: The price, especially when on sale. 3 quiet fans, they much more air than my old ones used to. They've got both 3 pin fan plugs and 4 pin molex plugs that go inline. My GPU with broken fan is now idling at 40 C rather than 55 C and peaking at 60 C rather than 70 C.

Cons: Can't use top 5.25" bay for DVD because USB 3 cord is in the way. Light material. I took both sides off and it was a pain getting one back on because the case twisted a bit without the support of a side panel. It has slots for screwless drive brackets but doesn't include the brackets... Two of the motherboard standoffs did not want to thread in. Felt like the threads were messed up, so I just re-threaded it by forcing the standoff to thread in.

Overall Review: Took me a bit to realize the LED light is connected by an old 4 pin molex connector, but it doesn't have an inline connector so you'd have to waste a power plug just to have a power light. It's manual doesn't mention this plug at all. I guess it makes sure it's compatible... I didn't like the expansion card holder on the back. I guess it gives a little more room for expansion cards or something? I'm using it with a very old Micro ATX AM3 board. Everything fits nicely, good airflow. I like having the power button on top to keep it out of reach of kids.

3 of 4 down in 6 years...2/20/2017 9:54:27 PM

Pros: Quiet, good price, not bad for air flow.

Cons: They eventually died... but I'd say it was a good run for the price.

Overall Review: One is still running but I question how much time it has.

Well... it was cheap... so I figured I'd test it.12/16/2016 6:57:30 AM

Pros: Low Price It's an SSD Hilariously bad translations

Cons: No cables or screws (though I didn't need them) Listed as a "bundle kit" but there was nothing but the drive in the box.

Overall Review: My favorite quotes from the box... "Avoid artificial damage" and the slogan "More attention, more wonderful!" They really need to hire a translator... The drive was dirt cheap over black Friday. That major retailer that start's with an A (Apparently it's an offensive word around here) says this drive has a 3 year manufacturer warranty so I decided I'd try it. Their listing here is very poorly done but I'm hoping the same warranty applies to drives purchased at Newegg. Still, the drive was cheap enough I won't be too upset if it dies. I used the drive to revive an old 2009 4,1 Macbook. I installed Ubuntu 16.04 and it's running like a charm. Works great for e-mail and spreadsheet work. The Macbook only has a SATA I port, which has a theoretical max of 150 MB/s, so I only get about 140 MB/s with my benchmark tests. Still, after the Macbook does it's booting stuff, Linux only takes about 10 seconds to be ready to use and there's next to no wait time to load the programs I regularly use.

So far so good...10/8/2016 9:28:20 PM

Pros: Cheap, decent amount of power, Gold certification.

Cons: Dislike the plastic feeling case, it was very flimsy, but shouldn't be an issue attached to a case.

Overall Review: I'm liking low power PC parts lately, wanted to be able to have fewer cables in the case too. Unfortunately to run everything I still had to plug in all the cables so the modular feature was kinda pointless for me.

For the right price it's good.10/8/2016 9:23:16 PM

Pros: -Surprisingly low power, I wanted a low power card but didn't want to spend much on it. -Has a lot of newer features, like DX 12, HDMI, PCIe 3.0, 2 GB of RAM.

Cons: -Not super fast, but with all the older games I play it hardly needs to kick into full speed. -I wish the fan kept it cooler, but it seems warmer chips is a trend with all electronics these days. -Really weird that they labeled this as a R7 250 when it's a R7 250x... -Don't trust the rebate!

Overall Review: My newest game is Age of Wonders 3, which runs on medium settings at about 45 FPS. The rest of my games run on maxed settings, including Portal 2, Supreme Commander 1 & 2, and Sins of a Solar Empire As for the rebate... it processed. I got the e-mail saying expect the rebate in a few weeks. Three months later, nothing. When I finally got them on the phone they said they didn't like my address and needed me to verify it. So basically they lied saying the rebate shipped, and didn't bother to call me about the issue. I'm sure they would have happily kept the rebate. Still waiting to see if the rebate arrives the second time...

So far so good!7/17/2015 7:22:09 AM

Pros: Actually works, works really well!

Cons: Haven't had any issues with it yet.

Overall Review: After going through 3 routers in 2 years, this one has been going great for 2 years, haven't had to reset it at all.

So far so good!2/23/2015 1:09:05 PM

Pros: Cheap, supports i7s

Cons: Crowded, my 2 slot video card cooler is actually touching my PCIe Wifi card, but it works. Need a compact video card to use the middle PCIe slot. Not sure why they don't put the second PCIe slot above the PCIe x16 slot so you can use it.

Overall Review: I put an i5-4590 in it and it's running like a dream. Didn't realize it doesn't support RAIDs, I thought everything did that these days...

So glad I got it!2/23/2015 1:00:26 PM

Pros: So Fast!! Low power usage Easy to install. Stays 37-39C when browsing internet, ups to 45C when playing games.

Cons: Price? But it really isn't that bad. Wasn't impressed with the snap in cooler method, but seems an Intel system in general.

Overall Review: I was using an old Athlon II X2 270 because it's almost as fast as the AM3+ CPUs, just with two cores. I mostly run single thread programs so I didn't see a point in upgrading, but I needed a faster CPU. Finally I did some reasearch, found what socket would run an i7 then got the cheapest quad core that fit in that socket. $45 motherboard with a $180 CPU that is much faster than anything AMD has and cheaper.

Great Device!2/10/2015 2:51:31 PM

Pros: Easy to set up Good price Reliable (after a few updates) Great User Interface

Cons: Bright LEDs! They work great as a night light...

Overall Review: Currently using it with two Seagate 4TB Hard Drives (ST4000DM000). 2.5 TB is set aside as an apple "Time Machine" and the rest is used for my Windows computer. The Apple devices It had issues connecting to it at first but QNAP fixed that with a firmware update like a year and a half ago. They've made a ton of improvements to it's firmware and now it runs great! We've had it for almost two years now without issue.

This processor rocks!5/22/2014 12:48:52 PM

Pros: Almost as fast as the newest AMD Processors! Good price!

Cons: Not as fast as the Intel Processors.

Overall Review: If you look at a per-core benchmark, this processor is only 14% behind the AMD FX-9590. Since I don't use any programs that run on more than one core, this processor is about perfect for me. Much better than wasting $300 on a processor that I will only use one or two cores on.

As good as new!12/20/2013 3:50:34 PM

Pros: Awesome Kitchenaid Pro quality

Cons: Price? They could always be cheaper, but I'd hate to see quality sacrificed for a lower price.

Overall Review: It's obvious the other reviews are for different products, we've liked ours so far and we'll update this review if it breaks or something.

I'm giving up on this one12/13/2013 2:38:45 PM

Pros: Good features, and good price, great range!

Cons: Seems to be very unreliable.

Overall Review: The first one lasted about 8 months. It started needing reset daily, then hourly. It would completely lock up each time. I contacted TP-Link and after several e-mails they sent a replacement. The replacement lasted about a month and started locking up constantly again. After about three weeks of sending e-mails back and forth trying every possibility they decided this one was dead again and offered to replace it At this point I didn't even want to bother and bought a new router that had a better reliability rating.

Hello Customer, We appreciate your review and we are sorry to see that you've had so much issue with these Routers. It is hard to determine where the issues could be coming from and especially now as you no longer have the Router. Since both devices had the same problem it could have been possible ip conflict, Noise and wireless interference, possibly EMI from the power source. We really hope that this experience will not impact your view on our devices and hope that you will be able to check out more of our products in the future. If you have any issues or concerns then you can feel free to contact me directly at howard.he@tp-link.com. Best Regards! Going good for me!12/13/2013 12:55:51 PM

Pros: Lots of plugs, way more than I need.

Cons: Not modular.

Overall Review: I've had it for four years now, I thought I should get around to writing a review to say it's been running well so far.

Working good for two years now10/18/2013 11:46:28 AM

Pros: It's been working without a problem

Cons: More expensive because it's specifically for Mid 2011 iMacs.

Overall Review: I bought the other memory of the same type not knowing it wouldn't work in 2011 iMacs. Had to send it back and got these for a replacement. Currently using four of these (16GB) in my 2011 iMac and it's been great for illustrating.

Good little bracket5/12/2013 8:14:31 AM

Pros: Good price It works with my screwless Cooler Master case. It fits in the both the floppy and hard drive slots.

Cons: Plastic, but the case feels plastic too so I don't think metal would help much.

Overall Review: I was glad to see the holes line up in the floppy slots because I wasn't using them otherwise.

So far so good, using SATA II5/12/2013 8:06:24 AM

Pros: Quiet, fast, as you were expecting.

Cons: I can't think of any so far.

Overall Review: My motherboard is SATA II so I only get about 211 MB/s read. Still it does much better than a mechanical hard drive. Windows 7 installed in 15 minutes, boots in around 10 seconds after the BIOS is done. Windows 7 rates it at 6.9. The biggest difference I noticed is just the speed at which the little things happen. Opening a browser, looking through folders, opening a settings dialog, are all instant now where before it took a second for each of those things to happen. I had no idea I was waiting so often for my computer. It is evident that my processor is now part of the bottleneck when loading some games (It can't decompress data as fast as the hard drive can load). I didn't expect that would be a factor in game loading time. I'm nervous about it's longevity but the speed is very nice. I look forward to when I get a SATA III motherboard and can see it's full speed.

Had two for five years now.1/21/2013 12:25:47 PM

Pros: Decent speed and capacity

Cons: Old IDE connectors.

Overall Review: It's a good hard drive. One of the few that have lasted for me. Just saw that there were no reviews here so I thought I'd write one and let people know how long mine has lasted.
