Excellent adapter

NETIS WF2190 AC1200 Wireless High Gain USB 3.0 Adapter with Dual 5 dBi Antenna & USB Cradle Extension Compatible with Windows MAC Linux OS
NETIS WF2190 AC1200 Wireless High Gain USB 3.0 Adapter with Dual 5 dBi Antenna & USB Cradle Extension Compatible with Windows MAC Linux OS

Pros: Excellent speed and distance. I use this for my PC in the basement, the router (Asus N66U) is on the 2nd floor. Connectivity on the 5ghz is always 80% or better. Link quality ranges from 270-300/Mbps. Plenty for what I use it for. Prior the Belkin & Linksys adapters were 100/Mbps at best. Though in fairness those adapters lacked external high gain antennas and function well if closer to the router.

Cons: None really. Ok, the USB base/cradle is too light and has a tendency to easily move around is the USB cable is touched. Doesn't matter, I use the adapter installed into a USB port on the back side of the PC.

Overall Review: I needed a good adapter with external antennas. There may be cheaper options, but this one does what it says and what I needed, no regrets!

Nothing but disconnects

Intel 7260HMW NB IEEE 802.11 Dual Band N600 Mini PCI Express Wi-Fi Adapter, 2.4GHz 300Mbps/5GHz 300Mbps
Intel 7260HMW NB IEEE 802.11 Dual Band N600 Mini PCI Express Wi-Fi Adapter, 2.4GHz 300Mbps/5GHz 300Mbps

Pros: Good through-put, when it worked

Cons: Consistent WiFi drops and freezes, requiring the adapter to be disabled and re-enabled. Also through-put would drop to a crawl

Overall Review: Without getting into a long dissertation, this adapter has issues and is well noted if a simple search is performed. Granted many have this adapter working well, but many do not. Hardware? Drivers? Improper setup? Who knows, but I tried every trick and driver I could find on the NET. Spent days researching and talking with folks who really know, all to no avail. But I'm not going to spend my life trying to get a $20 adapter going at this point. BTW I used this in a Asus K60IJ so again, do your research before buying. I replaced it with a Intel Wireless-N 6205 adapter and not a single glitch with it in 2 weeks.

Great board, terrible Realtek sound (ALC4080)

GIGABYTE Z590 AORUS PRO AX LGA 1200 Intel Z590 ATX Motherboard with 4 x M.2, PCIe 4.0, USB 3.2 Gen2X2 Type-C, Intel WIFI 6, 2.5GbE LAN

Pros: Nice board. Fired up right away. I had to update the board to the latest firmware. It was at the very first firmware version. Anyhow, no problem with doing that. I'm using an I5-11600K. I tweaked the processor a little just playing around, and I did "not" see any of the high VRM temps reported early on for this board. I'm only using a 11600K, so maybe it is different with the 11900K? But regardless, the VRM ran around 60/dg. I have since brought things back to stock and haven't any need to OC it. The

Cons: The bad. What an insult this ALC4080 is. No real sound console, no mixer, no effects like sound equalization. One egg was knocked off for that insult. I know most board manufacturers are using this new Realtek ALC-4080/4082 or the newer ALC1220. Lagging audio response at times (tested with both Windows 10 and 11, I have several SSDs). Noise (hiss, or "pops"). The sound quality is really lacking at times, depending on what you're watching or playing. No control with sound equalization (volume and mixer) which for me is important. I had great luck with the ALC1200/1220, but this latest is a real step backward. I turned it off and purchased an SB Audigy FX v2 (remember, v2 with a 2021 release date). Now the sound output is nice with a great sound console/mixer. Everything else about this board is nice, for me. So I wasn't going to play the "board game" and send things back and forth until I'm 100% happy. Your mileage may vary.

Overall Review: Yes, recommended. I have had great luck with Gigabyte boards overall. Plus, well built physically

Excellent system for the money

Logitech Z337 Bold Sound Bluetooth Wireless 2.1 Speaker System

Pros: The BT connects fast, and I've experienced no drops or interrupts in audio. I've also tested this system both wired to my PC and to my flat-screen TV. No complaints, well worth the money spent, sounds great with excellent bass response

Cons: None

Overall Review: I recommend this product
