Good cheap case

Cooler Master Elite RC-310-BWN1-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Cooler Master Elite RC-310-BWN1-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Roomy. Side Window. Side fan mount. Nice front bezel. Power/HDD lights not bright. Rebate. Cheap.

Cons: Buttons placed in a 2.5" slot If you have a front mounted fan, the bezel touches it and makes clicking noises whenever you press down on the logo or plug in a USB cable. Not screwless. Standoffs seem a bit short. No speaker. Hard drive mounting screws dont line up. One time use PCI slot covers. Limited to 92mm CPU heatsink with fan. Both hard drive and power lights are blue. Rear case fan clicks if mounted on too tight.

Overall Review: Hopefully the USB slot get loose the more I use it. Cooler Master Elite 310 Stock Fan is Front Intake 2 - Rosewill RFX-120BL (Exhaust) Intel C2D E8400 Asus P5Q Pro (BIOS 2102) 8GB (2 pairs) OCZ OCZ2RPR10664GK Asus EAH4850 w/ Zalman VF5000 OCZ OCZ600SXS 600W

Just okay.

Sunbeam RHK-BA Rheobus 5.25" Bay 4 Channel 20W Fan Controller Panel (Black)
Sunbeam RHK-BA Rheobus 5.25" Bay 4 Channel 20W Fan Controller Panel (Black)

Pros: 20W/channel Cheap Large knobs LEDs easy to remove (not soldered into the board)

Cons: Super, extremely bright LEDs. (Two layers of blue painter's tape still couldnt cut it.) The provided cables are useless, short, and too few. Knob notch hard to see. (I used whiteout for better visibility.) Not much speed variation for fans. (I have to turn the knob past 50-60% before my fans actually started spinning.)

Overall Review: I tried soldering a 22kOhm resistor on the middle lead of the LEDs, but failed. I didnt have the right tools. I just removed them. I have two Cooler Master Blue 120mm R4s or two Aerocool Shark 140mm on each channel with no problem so far.

Garbage

WD Re 1TB Datacenter Capacity Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM Class SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 inch WD1003FBYZ

Pros: Nothing right now.

Cons: Unreliable, not durable, sector errors, SMART errors, useless.

Overall Review: I bought a pair to add to my current RAID5 setup with three RE4 1TB drives that have been error free for a year. I was able to add the pair to my setup without needing to delete and reinitialize my RAID5. During the migration of the data, one drive had a SMART failure. I decided to stop the migration and delete my RAID5. It was a good thing I backed up all my data before all this. I sent the first one for RMA. I copied my data to the 2nd new drive and then I got some bad sector errors. I am in the processes of RMAing this one as well. I dont know why all of a sudden Im having bad luck with WD. This next round of drive cause errors, Im switching brands. I also dont like how slow newegg's RMA process is.

Great!

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin PC RAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

Pros: Works out of the box. Passes Memtest.

Cons: None so far. Wished it was blue.

Overall Review: Im currently running it at 1648 MHz, 9-9-9-24-2, 1.5V on my ASUS P8P67-M Pro. Its not much of an OC, but its okay. Im not planning to OCing it much.

Crucial RealSSD C300 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CTFDDAC064MAG-1G1CCA

Pros: Super fast with two in Raid0.

Cons: No 3.5" adapter. No TRIM in RAID. No forced Garbage Collection.

Overall Review: Initially scored 800+ on AS SSD. After a month's usage, it dropped to 750. After leaving my desktop in the Windows login screen for a few hours (let garbage collection run, supposedly), the score jumped to 780. I feel its going to be hard to upgrade the firmware whenever it comes out.
