Pros: I bought the ATA-6 interface of the same hard disk. The hard disk is quiet compared to my older Fujitsu 5400RPM model. 7200RPM contributes to a noticeable speed increase of about 20%.

Cons: I bought the HD for less than a month before it crashed! I had diagnosed the bad sectors with Seagate Tools. Though it comes with a 5-yr wty, the HD is not built to last. The worst thing is the efficiency of the returned service. The service provider gave a standard one line answer "once we received your returned product, we will update your status within 24-48 hours." Yes, they did update that the received status of my HD, but that's it! They have been slow to process my returned HD and the 3-7 days shipping policy is only effective only after they have finished processing the faulty HD and I don't know how long they are going to take. What a disappointment from such a reputable company.

Overall Review: If you have bought a Seagate HD and it is faulty and is covered by warranty, I would recommend requesting for their express service at a cost of $19.99 which includes the air-freight of a refurbished HD within 2 days. It saves you the trouble of getting your own box, cushion and anti-static bag and you don't have to worry how long it is going to take them to process your returned product. I think I will avoid Seagate HD in future.
