Pros: Good price for a 16GB Class 4 ($25). Reputable, quality brand. Worked seamlessly in my Motorola Atrix 2. Card seems very quick and responsive, but I haven't tested speeds.
Cons: I've been buying from NewEgg for years. It took this item 9 days to arrive, yet its small enough to be delivered in an envelope.
Overall Review: When NewEgg was with UPS, I guess the shipping was much quicker.
Pros: It's made by Panasonic. It has a solid feel to it and a great look. The digital display is great for determining battery life.
I've used this razor for a little over 8 months. It has a decent motor to power it and the charge lasts a long time. Wet or dry is crucial. It cuts short facial hair very smoothly and closely.
I purchased this one elsewhere because the price was better at the time, but if you need an electric shaver, this one cannot be beat at this price!
Cons: You can't let your facial hair get too long with this shaver. If you shave daily or every other day, this model will give you a very close, smooth shave. However, if you have thick facial hair and shave less frequently, you're going to have a hard time getting a good shave.
The trimmer on the back is extremely weak and its teeth are not as sharp as they should be. Forget using it for anything other than trimming your sideburns.
Overall Review: Overall a good electric shaver. At $30, you will not find anything close as good. This normally retails at about $50-60.
Pros: I'm a loyal newegg customer but I've purchased this card a long while ago and just now decided to write a small review.
This is the cheapest member of the true X-Fi family and also the best bang for the buck.
The first time I heard this card I was blown away! Compared to on-board sound, its night and day.
You will notice deep lows and rich mids, along with very clear highs. This card has everything you need and probably the best sound you can get under $100.
This thing even made bad speakers sound good. Once you hook up good speakers or earphones to this sound card, you will realize why its important to have quality sound hardware.
This has true EAX support, not emulated.
This thing actually takes the audio load from your CPU to increase performance by a few %.
Cons: Sometimes the software can seem to be a bit heavy, but I think Creative is improving this quickly.
Never use the disk hardware comes with and always download the latest drivers from the manufacturer website.
Overall Review: Great sound, great quality, and extreme potential with good speakers or good headphones.
Probably the best bang for the buck $100 or under.
Pros: I'm a loyal newegg customer but I purchased this keyboard on another website for $10 less during a brief sale.
This keyboard is in the class of $100 keyboards. The construction quality is great, the keys have excellent back lighting and the typing feels really good.
The keys have just the right amount of resistance and don't feel mushy or rattly.
The light doesn't leak out and the keyboard looks clean.
Anti-ghosting is an excellent feature. Six macro keys.
Overall, this is clearly one of the best options for this price range and even better than some more expensive $80-$100 keyboards.
Cons: This isn't really a con for me, but the keys do make a slight tapping noise when being pressed. This doesn't bother me because its not loud, but very picky people might take notice.
The fact that the keys have a solid, good feel to them, the sound is even less of a concern.
Overall Review: This keyboard is a little bit longer than some might think, even though its glossy black and low profile.
The back lighting is excellent and you can set it dimmer or brighter.
Wrist pad has a cool mesh design and its small enough not to bother you.
Anti-ghosting makes sure you don't miss keystrokes or combinations and is crucial for gamers and typing alike!
Pros: Patriot specializes in memory. They know what they're doing. This Xporter Flash Drive is faster than most on the market. Awesome price at $22. They have the 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and the 32GB Flash Drives. I think they even make a 64GB.
If you want maximum performance from this thing, format it to NTFS instead of FAT32.
You will see performance gains, HOWEVER, if you switch to NTFS, be sure you click "eject" on the Patriot icon in "My Computer" before removing it.
With FAT32 its optimized for quick removal. With NTFS its optimized for max performance but has to be "ejected" before removal (or data loss can occur).
In order to allow it to format in NTFS, you need to go to the device manager, click on disk drives, and right click the Patriot flash drive, then go to properties, then policies, and you will have the option for "performance". Read it.
Cons: None. You cant complain about a fast, quality 8GB Flash Drive that costs $22.
Overall Review: Stores charge over $50-60 at the least for 8GB Flash Drives which are still of inferior quality.
Pros: This laptop is excellent for this price (paid $450 shipped). You will not find a better bang for your buck with a good brand name like Toshiba anywhere else (under $500)....and trust me I've looked everywhere for days.
Good quality, good performance for the money, best bang for buck.
Upgradeable memory (up to 4GB).
Cons: Pentium Dual Core CPU instead of a Core 2 Duo (cant complain for $450).
Not a con, however - 2GB RAM seems skinny with shared video, but realistically, you will rarely run into any application which will use more than 2GB of RAM for now. 32-bit operating systems (XP/Vista) can only see a maximum of 4GB and most of the time show 3 or 3.5GB of RAM because of video or other memory.
Even though the video is shared, 2GB is plenty for now (you can always upgrade this to 4GB in the future).
Overall Review: I like the dark cobalt blue texture/color on the outside of this notebook.
Toshiba is one of the best companies in the world when it comes to notebooks. Budget or high-end.
Pros: Excellent price. Reliable. Lifetime warranty. Has been working solid in my laptop for over 3 months now (along with another stock Sony Viao 1GB stick). Flawless.
Overall Review: Kingston is one of the best manufacturers of legendary Micron chipped memory, and they always provide lifetime warranty.
Pros: Great DVI-D Dual Link cable! Very low price and does what it is supposed to! Dont ever waste money on overpriced cables because they are the same!...unless you buy some knockoff that doesn't work right. This is DUAL LINK so it supports resolutions higher than SINGLE LINK. Get this cable its great!
Overall Review: By looking at the interface of the cable, you can tell if its Single or Dual link. This is dual link and is capable of providing the highest possible resolution for DVI (2560x1600).
Pros: Very thin drive! Perpendicular technology, high capacity and fast...not to mention the great price. Be sure to remove the tiny jumper in the back to get full SATA2! I believe this one is covered under the Seagate 5 year limited warranty (great!).
Cons: Not Seagates fault/problem at all, but unless you have ServicePack 2 CD version of WinXP or Vista, the HD will only format 120GB, and the rest you will have as a partion which you will have to format in Windows after install....making it two partitions.
Overall Review: Be sure to remove the tiny jumper in the back to get full SATA2! Even though speeds will still remain about the same, everyone wants the max capability!
Pros: This RAM blows all the other RAM out of the water. It overclocks easily! Very stable as long as you give it the right voltage to timing ratio. Stays cool, very fast, very stable! I have mine at 2.1V running at 4-4-4-12 @ 800Mhz (native setting). Could push it much higher, but no need for now. Lifetime warranty? What else could you want?
Cons: Not even close.
Overall Review: People who dont know what on earth they are doing, please dont give this RAM bad reviews because you have no idea how to set timings and voltages. Same goes for ancient systems which cant handle high power RAM.
Pros: Popped right into my Foxconn C51 590 SLI and works like a beast. With my 8800GTS I run any game or any program without a single hiccup! Run HL2 at max settings, 16x AA, 16x Filtering and still pull 140+FPS. So fast that my brand new LCD cant even keep up with the frames and I get frame tearing!! (LCD's are 60hz at max res). L2 2x1MB is great!
Overall Review: Dont OC this CPU, it is fast enough for now and since its 2.8Ghz is runs memory at full speed 800Mhz, without messing with the multiplier. Near future AMD CPU's (AM2+, mabey even AM3) should be compatible with nForce 590 mobos after a quick BIOS update! 5600 is 89W compared to the SLIGHTLY faster 6000 which is smoking 125W! This is the AMD CPU to get as of now!
Pros: This mouse is great. I have always stuck to this model and it works flawlessly. Awesome price, cool black color and works smooth as silk. The wheel is nice and crisp as well. This same mouse will cost you triple or even quadruple in the store!
Cons: Not a single one.
Overall Review: Available in two colors...white and black!
Pros: This keyboard is at a great price and the quality is excellent. This keyboard feels great! No stuck keys, no jamming, not too loud and not too soft. Responds to finger pressure perfectly!! And I'm picky with keyboards.
Cons: Space bar is slightly flimsy but you wont even notice it. It works just fine. If youre THAT picky you can quick fix it with some tape. Not really even a con.
Overall Review: Look at this low price! Dont let the price fool you, this keyboard is great quality. Has all the basic keys that work perfect and feel good! Dont waste money on overpriced keybaords that probably dont work as good as this one!
Pros: This thing smokes any game at any setting and resolution as long as you have the CPU and RAM to unleash its potential. Lifetime warranty! Whoever complains needs to refrain from ever leaving comments again.
Cons: Large and hot. But it was made for the heat.
Overall Review: The guy below doesn't know what he's talking about. You dont need a 650 watt PSU for this card. Just a good quality one and a high TOTAL 12V rail. For example Corsair 500W can power an 8800 GTS with ease along with anything else you have because it has a solid 40A on the 12V. And for the guy who said his 7950GT was better needs his head examined! Probably dont even have the correct drivers. If newer DX10.1 comes out, new drivers will support it no prob.
Pros: This cooler is the best you can get for air/conduciton, this is a fact. The reason I say this is because the Ninja rev.B is smaller and weighs less than the Tuniq Tower and the Thermalright 120 Extreme (which are one of the best), but if you put a good 70+CFM fan or even two on the Ninja you can outperform these two in cooling easily. It will fit in the case much better than most high end coolers (fans mountable on 4 sides) and it weighs less! I have seen many good coolers so I know.
Cons: No cons. If you need ultimate cooling, this is it. Dont waste your money on giant, heavy coolers which can cost more than this one and cool the same, but with less potential (Ninja is multiple fan capable, but you will never need it!)
Overall Review: Be careful not to bend the delicate aluminum fins when taking out of box and mounting. Also, I recommend you get a good 2000+ RPM fan, since the Scythe fan it comes with is for very low noise and doesn't move a lot of air. With a good/faster fan, your performance will double.
Pros: Not everyone will tell you they love the GeminII because of its size...but you are not only cooling your CPU, but also your mobo and your RAM. This cooler will bring the temps of the hottest CPU (including my X2 6000+) to the ground!
Cons: Large and heavy. Just make sure you do a little bit of research and make sure this will fit your mobo and your setup with no problems. It should fit almost all boards, unless youre tight on space.
Overall Review: Anyone telling you that the GeminII is not effective is either bias, or a fool who didn't install it right.
