Not too shabby

Cooler Master NotePal U Stand - Laptop Cooling Stand with Dual 100 mm Configurable Fans
Cooler Master NotePal U Stand - Laptop Cooling Stand with Dual 100 mm Configurable Fans

Pros: Overall, this is a very nice cooler. It props up my very large HP Envy 17" to a nice angle for typing and gaming. Its very nice that you can adjust the fans to where you need them, my computer gets hot only on the left side. Extra USB ports are nice, but I dont use a lot of peripherals to really need them. The option for an A/C adapter for power is nice too. Frame is solid aluminum.

Cons: The fans are attached by 4 small plastic hooks that clasp into the honeycomb frame. However, they are plastic, where the base is heavy metal, and when fitting them into place, I broke two of them off and they wouldn't stay in place without gluing them in. It was my fault, so I'm not gonna try to say, oooh broke out of box, or some stuff like that. Also, since as I stated above, all my heat is on left side, I wanted to place the fans stacked rather than side by side in under my computer; when I tried to close the stand after doing so, there isn't enough room under the frame to accommodate this configuration, so keep that in mind. You can almost close it, but not quite. Another slight neg, just running off of USB power, the fans don't go very fast. Fast enough, but not what I would have liked. It doesn't include the A/C adapter piece, you'd have to find/order that separate.

Overall Review: Great overall for the price.

Well designed but not for the beginner to use

Corsair iCUE 5000X RGB Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX PC Smart Case, Black, CC-9011212-WW
Corsair iCUE 5000X RGB Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX PC Smart Case, Black, CC-9011212-WW

Pros: The tower itself is very nice. -Great panels of solid tempered glass with good gaps to encourage airflow through in the right directions. -Modular cable management with supplied straps and posts to run cables behind and away from visible areas. -I like that the intake on the side has its own shielded duct to direct the air that comes in from that side over the motherboard and GPU. -Easy to set up holding locations for SSDs and traditional plate drives. -Comes stock with your three fans placed in the front and already attached to the iCUE distributor for RGB. -All the dust collectors are magnetic and super easy to use. This was the first complete build I have made in a long time. I bought 3 additional RGB fans and a 360mm radiator AIO for my CPU and though it was a bit tight I was able to manage all the cables very well. Definitely took some time to plan out and actually run the wires through though, this wont be something you'll finish building with in an afternoon I don't think unless you're just that experienced. I need to buy one more 120mm fan for the back of the case though to push air out that way and get my proper airflow. If you're buying corsair fans to go with this they give you all kinds of options for consolidating your RGB settings together and linked up with the system. Keep in mind the case itself only supports 6 though so if you're planning on more you'll need to get an iCUE commander plate from whatever box set you purchase as well to supplement the case system.

Cons: It came pre assembled with a lot of wires already ran in a particular way through the backside of the case and all the ducts and drive brackets set in place where they thought they should go. I had to be very careful and look for how to remove what I needed to in order to run wires my way. The HDD bracket especially wasn't in the best of positions to not interfere with my giant power supply unit I purchased for my build but in the grand scheme. It was also somewhat difficult to mount fans in the side panel due to the duct plate being in the way. I had to use my 3 120mm fans one at a time and mount them in place there instead of my big radiator like I originally planned

Overall Review: Overall I think this was a great purchase. Super stylish looking when fully assembled with a lot of good customization

Great sound, bad longevity

Bose IE2 Audio Headphones
Bose IE2 Audio Headphones

Pros: I bought a set of these originally from Circuit City when they were going out of business (loooong time I know) and was very satisfied with the sound quality and great fit you could get with the different sized ear pieces. I use them with my laptop, phone, ipad, everything and I get great levels of sound for what I want. I am not a professional sound person in any way, shape or form, and am unable to give detailed specifics, but you get better sound that from any other ear bud I have ever tried. No fuzziness, great support for bass and good response in the highest levels too (to me)

Cons: The first pair I purchased, even though they were kept in the case that came with them, never stressed beyond normal use (being in a pocket while I work out, etc) they had the problem of the rubber casing breaking down, and since the wire from the base plug is set at a 45 degree angle, it very easily begins to degrade and work its way loose in the connections. I was able to get replacements because of these issues, and the newer ones have lasted longer, but the same problems are cropping up again. The rubber is completely off where it meets the ear pieces, and there are several cracks in the wire body. I have trouble with degrading sound levels and have to manipulate the base to get them back and be very delicate about moving it.

Overall Review: Great earbuds for sound, just wish they were better constructed, come on BOSE, you're better than this!

Great Laptop

HP Laptop ENVY 17 17-1011NR Intel Core i7 1st Gen 720QM (1.60GHz) 8GB Memory 640GB HDD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 17.3" Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Pros: Super fast, definitely can handle all the latest games with more than enough power to take on high and very high graphics settings. I like the layout of the keyboard and the back lighting is nice as well. No dead pixels on arrival either!

Cons: As has been previously stated, there is a hot spot in the lower left corner of the laptop. Not a big deal per se, but it can get annoying, definitely should have the computer situated in such a way that it has airflow to that area at least.

Overall Review: Worth the price, should last a long time
