Pros: It's a good VM for running your OS.
Cons: Can't encrypt your hard drive and run this program. This is an "Oh by the way" if your hard drive is encrypted it won't work because the OS won't see the new boot partition because it's encrypted.
Overall Review: You need to decide if you want to secure your data or run this program because you can't have it both ways.
Pros: It's a nice quiet case. I overpaid for this, so your getting a way better deal than I got.
Cons: There's no slot for a 2.5 SD card for pictures. You might not need it considering your uploading pics with your USB on the phone, but it should still be a feature. Also, there's no instruction manual to point out the benefits of this case. It's very bare bones.
Pros: I bought 3 of these at a big discount. I thought this would be a great product to own.
Cons: I was hit with a Hijacking program on my MacBook Pro running Windows 7 with bootcamp. I got rid of the hijacking program and there was no trace of it. I installed the Fix Me Stick, ran a scan, nothing detected. After installing the fix me stick it would take about 10 minutes for my laptop to restart or shutdown. I contacted the tech support and there were useless. This will screw up your computer and make it worse then any virus you get infected with.
Overall Review: I thew away the 2 spare Fix Me Sticks in the garbage. I would only install this program on someone's computer who I don't like very much like an Ex girlfriend. Your better off using an Anti Virus program and Malware Bytes.
Pros: This is a good product and haven't needed to use it, knocking on wood.
Cons: Newegg gave me the card with the activation code and no Retail Box. I don't know if anyone wrote this code down and will use it for later. I'm shocked at the lack of common sense to not send this in a secure Retail Box like I would if I bought this at another store. Hopefully the registration code works and hasn't been compromised. Your rolling the dice on this purchase, even though there is a rebate.
Overall Review: I bought the 3 year Lojack Software and got a retail box. Then again it was shipped from a third party and not Newegg directly.
Pros: It fits a desktop build in this Cube design like a glove.
Cons: It's Loud! It's an open design meaning it was not meant to be quiet like most Cool Master cases. I have a desktop Cool Master and love it because it's quiet. You hear all the fans and fans inside the case. I'm going to get rid of this and transfer my hardware to a quiet computer case.
Overall Review: This could be a good server if you put it in a closet, so you can't hear the loud noise it makes.
Pros: I have worked with PC's for over 10 years. The last laptop I was a Mac. I sold it and was in the market for a PC laptop. I returned 4 PC laptops because there's no quality control, cheaply built, and unreliable. I notice the PC manufacturers trying to copy the look of the Mac Book Pro. I had enough and bought the real thing. You should considering buying the TimeCapsule. It works with the Wifi at 802.11AC and you can use it as a NAS or TimeMachine backups.
Cons: It didn't come with a Thunderbolt Ethernet cable. The Macs I bought new for the company I worked at had the Ethernet dongle included. Not a huge deal because the WiFi is 802.11AC which works great. FYI you will need to buy this dongle, which is about $30.00. Also, don't forget to turn on the Firewall because it's turned off by default.
Overall Review: This is a great product. I used to be 100% PC, but Windows 8 is so horrible that it's time to abandon PC products. I love Windows 7, but MS is sticking with Windows 8 and 9 doesn't sound like it's going to be much better. It's time for PC users to learn OSX and Linux or your going to be very disappointed with Windows 8,9, and so on.
Pros: The back of the cover implies it's like it used to be.
Cons: Plotless and make no sense. The only games I play is the first 4 COD games over and over again and never get bored. The last 3 years the games have gone down hill and keep getting worse. It's like watching a sequel to a good movie. You watch in case it's good, but they are not.
Overall Review: Try before you buy and you'll save $60.00 when you realize this game is terrible. I traded my game in after a week and took a $35.00 loss.
Pros: The motherboard is good. It does online BIOS updates. It still works after a year.
Cons: Buyer beware if you want TPM. You can only buy the TPM chip from MSI online. No other store will sell it Other TPM chips will be incompatible with MSI. The TPM chip costs $13.00 and they charge $15.00 for ground shipping. I think this is outrageous.
Overall Review: My KVM Switch works, but the USB drive for MSI stopped recognizing it. It's annoying because I like have one keyboard and mouse for 2 PC's.
Pros: If you have money to waste, then buy this keyboard.
Cons: The ad is deceptive because it implies the keys on the keyboard is soft and easy to type. This is a hard keyboard with a couple inches on the bottom. If you have a desk it might not fit in the keyboard area of the desk. To add insult to injury it cost $15 to package and return this keyboard.
Overall Review: This is in NewEggs "virtual" warehouse. That means you won't get updated information when it ships. The day before it arrives you will get a shipping confirmation. I tried to cancel this order with no luck. I wish I did.
Pros: I've used Kaspersky for the last 5 years and never had problems until I bought the 5 devices 1 year version
Cons: The program crashes when your PC is asleep. Then you have to give Windows (7) permission to start the program about 5 times before it turns on. It's a security to have your protection turned off when your PC is asleep. It doesn't look like Kaspersky is going to fix this problem.
Overall Review: If you buy this program download the most recent version from the website. My PC would hang with the CD install and I'd have to reboot. The only way to install the program successfully is to download the most recent version from the website. I would recommend Pure 3.0. I used 2.0 with no problems at all. Also, I heard if you install this program on a MAC you won't be able to use your MAC at all.
Pros: None other than they I was able to resell this game and not get a big loss.
Cons: I didn't think I'd like this game, but I gave it a shot. It's nothing like the other COD's. I predicted this game would be to much like Halo and after a few levels I was correct. I only play COD on my PS3 and never get bored. This game went away from the theme they had. If you like Halo go ahead and buy it.
Overall Review: I only play COD on my PS3 and I feel the company dropped the ball on this game. Hopefully the next game will be back to their roots of a military theme.
Pros: This company will imply you will get a rebate.
Cons: I followed all the instructions. Nova is tricky and they want Proof of Purchase which is on the sides of the product that you will miss. Even after you submit that they will claim you never sent it. They will deny all Valid rebates. Boycott all their products.
Pros: You can't remove it easily when you want to downgrade to Windows 7. This is a Pro for Microsoft, but not for any of the users who want Windows 7.
Cons: At least with Windows Vista you had a desktop with a start menu. I had to manually type Windows commands in the run screen to find anything in Windows 8. Windows 7 is the new XP. Everyone will keep Windows 7 until Microsoft pulls the plug. Hopefully by then there's a new OS with a Desktop and Start menu. Friends don't let Friends install Windows 8 on their PC.
Overall Review: I use to be Pro Microsoft, but Windows 8 is so terrible I need to learn a new OS. I think users should use Windows 7. But learn Linux or Mac when Microsoft pulls the plug on Windows 7.
Pros: It has all the bells and whistles for a great PC.
Cons: It broke after 6 months. This is the second ASUS motherboard (different model) that broke after a few months. I had to throw away my last ASUS motherboard and lost $120. Now I spent a lot more money thinking I'd get better quality. Asus was good in the 90's, but clearly have been cutting corners and making shoddy products with no quality control or consistency. What's worse is I had my tax return ready to e-file and now I have to redo it. And I'm going to be treated like a criminal to reactivate my software and explain my motherboard crashed again. STAY AWAY from ASUS! I remain skeptical this new motherboard will work. If it's like the last one I received it will work for a week and break again.
Overall Review: I had a Gigabyte motherboard and never had any problems. The only reason I had to replace it is for the Windows 7 upgrade. Gigabyte has much better quality control and built to last for a few years. Asus is not built to last. If you buy it get a warranty with it or you will be sorry.
Pros: It is improved and there's a ton of bells and whistles with this program. I bought this program on Newegg and got a crazy deal on it. I buy all my software here.
Cons: There is no manual included. It comes in the same fancy big box, but you have to buy the manual. It cost $10 -$2 if you use the 20% off promo code. It's annoying to spend $100 on a program and the company tries to nickel and dime you on everything. You should not be charged extra to learn how to use the program.
Pros: The older version 10 years ago worked great.
Cons: This does not work. When you open the program you get in your face advertising that looks like Malware to upgrade your product. That advertisement does not go away. It's very bright, takes up 75% of the screen, and will not go away. You get 25% of your screen to use the actual product.
Pros: They used to be good and have a good reputation.
Cons: Last year my Brother printer was acting up and bought an Epson printer instead. I've had the Epson printer for almost a year and the ink has not ran out yet and I print a lot. The Brother printer cleans itself at 2AM. I should know because it wakes me up at 2AM to clean itself. That's why the ink runs out every 3 months and costs a lot of money to replace.
Overall Review: If your in the market for a printer check out the Epson. You will not be dissapointed.
Pros: It does a good job doing a generic tune up. Most of the tasks are in Windows with a few exceptions.
Cons: The product key is over 60 Numbers and Letters. Even Microsoft keys are half this amount and cost a whole lot more. It would be very annoying typing 60 numbers and characters on 3 computers or reinstalling the OS and this program. I did notice the AVG Internet Security Suite was at least 50 numbers and characters. I don't like it when companies treat their customers like criminals.
Overall Review: I hope you like typing 60 keys to install the program. If you miss one letter or number you have to review all 60 numbers and letters.
Pros: Good graphics and video game selection.
Cons: To many red rings of death. The old xbox 360 had 3 red rings of death. Now the 360 Slim has a red dot to replace the red rings of death. The Slim has a 1 year warranty. After that you have to pay Microsoft $120 for every red dot problem. Your paying for Microsoft's mistake of not testing their Xbox 360 prior to launch.
Overall Review: I traded in my Xbox 360 for a PS3 and have had no problems at all. The PS3 is much quietier and I get tons of free online content without a subscription fee. I would not buy any video game console without an extended warranty. When or if it breaks you will be happy to have the warranty.
Pros: The last Bond movie and game really sucked. I got a crazy deal on this game from Newegg. I only played the first level and the game is one of the best for Bond. It's a great game to play on HD TV. If your a Bond fan and can't wait for the next movie then buy this game.
Cons: The last Bond game and movie was terrible.
Overall Review: I will buy all my video games from Newegg for now on. I used to buy at the retailers, but Newegg always has deals.
Pros: I got a really good deal from Newegg.
Cons: I use this on my Laptop and Netbook with 3 user license. The quality of finding, preventing, and proactive detection is medium/low. What really annoys me is the in your face advertising. When you start a web browser they try to sell you ID theft protection. This message will appear everytime you start the web browser. It's wrong to pay money for more in your face advertising. I can't recommend this product anymore. Free software with no advertising is better then this paid version.
Overall Review: It might be good for a netbook or Laptop, but free software would do a better job and no in your face advertising.
Pros: Nice Ram that is solid.
Cons: OCZ has weird voltage for their different RAM models. I upgraded to the DDR3 RAM and had nightmares with motherboards that only support 1.5V. I can not find a motherboard (at least a quality one) that supports 1.65Volts. Do not buy this RAM unless your motherboard supports it.
Overall Review: I think you should only buy ram that supports 1.5Volts. The main motherboard manufacturers only support 1.5Volts.
Pros: It's cheap.
Cons: This is the 3rd motherboard/ manufactuer that has failed me in a row. I have an E8500 CPU and the that I hate about it is the limited selection for motherboards. I installed Vista Ultimate Sp1(5 times), installed drivers, and then tried to update all the way to SP2. I never made it to SP2 because I kept getting BSODs. First it's the network card, then it's memory, and then it's something else totally unrelated. It might work with Windows 7 or XP, but it does not work with Vista. Save yourself some agrivation and buy a different motherboard as long as it's not Gygabyte or ASUS. None of those boards work either. How hard is to have a computer turn, standby, and turnoff? I built over 15 computers and DDR3 ram has been a nightmare with the new motherboards.
Overall Review: Check your RAM voltage BEFORE you buy a motherboard or your really going to be unhappy.
Pros: I love the Resident Evil franchise. I own the 3 dvd's and bought the Blue Ray versions of 1 and 2.
Cons: The problem with some Blue Ray movies is it does not matter if your watching HD movie and HD TV. If the movie itself was not made with HD , then you will not notice a difference then the normal DVD version.
Overall Review: I would only buy Blue Ray for Sci Fi/ horror movies. More than half the time a normal DVD would do the job just fine. You can use the Blue Ray player as an HD upgrade.
Pros: The box looks cool and the features sound impressive.
Cons: The first motherboard could not detect my video card. After 100+ hours of trading phone calls with Asus it was a defective board. I returned it to Asus and received a 'New' board which just tanked after 1 month. Now I'm out $125 and now I just ordered a Gigabyte motherboard. I have built over 15 computers and have never had as many problems with a motherboard like I did with Asus. If you want to buy this board first get $125 and throw it in the garbage. Then go out and buy a new board that actually works. That's the position Asus put me in. Also, this board will not go into Sleep mode. You will have the monitor blank out, but the PC will stay on. It is not an issue with the OS.
Overall Review: Asus used to be a good company. The monitors and netbooks are good, but save yourself time and aggravation and don't buy their motherboards. Now I get to reinstall my OS + Reactivate all my software which is tons of fun. Thanks a lot Asus.
