2nd Review. Overclocked to 4.2 just to test it out and it still has headroom. Where is the Max?
Pros: Well this is a 3.0GHZ CPU. And as we all know, most CPU's over 3.0 can easily OC to 3.4 to 3.6 with no problems. The first thing I did was record the stock Temps and Voltages. At 3.0 it sat around 33c at 0.95volts. I clocked it to 3.6GHZ and the temps were 37c at 1.1volts. Then to 3.7GHZ with 39c at 1.2volts. I was very impressed but did not go further because I am running air cooling with a Zalmann 9700. But then I said "Screw It!" and pushed it a little more just to see. I went to 3.8GHZ, then 3.9GHZ, then 4.0GHZ. All the time seeing only a slight increase in temps and volts. The final setting was 4.1GHZ with 43c at 1.375volts. All these settings were at idle, all auto settings in the BIOS, and on Air cooling. I ran 3DMark06 on each setting and never got a BSOD or lock up. Am I dreaming? Anyway the 3DMarks went from 18990 at 3.0GHZ to 24719 at 4.1GHZ. But the optimal setting I found was at 3.7GHZ. Vista64 was faster and Crysis ran extremely smooth. I stayed at 3.7GHZ.
Cons: Are you Kidding!
Overall Review: Just wondering what people are able to run this CPU at with a really good Liquid Cool setup. I have a High End setup but I know somebody out there has me beat. The picture you see here is not what they send you. Card runs way too hot at idle, loads bake the MOBO!!!!!
Pros: Performance is great if you can keep the temps down. This card works best if Crossfired with another one. But as a single card, don't expect much.
Cons: Diamond if packing this box with a different card now. The one they sent looks more like an old 2900 series with no enclosure and huge heat pipes exposed out the side. This card runs extremely hot at idle and when playing a game, it felt like an EASY BAKE OVEN in my case.
Overall Review: I have a 4870X2 that runs 42C at idle with 50% Fan. When playing Crysis maxed out it runs 58C with 50% Fan. This card runs 57C idle with 50% Fan and ran 74C% with 50% Fan playing crysis maxed out. I don't blame New Egg, but I do blame Diamond. When I called their tech support, they said that they changed the model number for the card with a different design. They said it is the same card, its just looks different. Well if you buy a Dodge Ram Quad Cab Laramie and they ship a Dodge Dakota 2 Door sport to the dealer......would you take it? I think not.
Great Little Mouse for On The Go!
Pros: -Small, portable -Great DPI -Very Smooth Action -Batteries Last Forever
Cons: -Slightly Overpriced
Overall Review: Great mouse but I have seen this cheaper in Retail Stores as low as $19.99. The asking price is $27.99, then shipping charge. Most Mice this small are pretty much the same with performance and comfort, so why so much? Regardless of the price, this is a great mouse that you will love.
Pros: -Great Gaming Mouse -Pin-Point accuracy in Shooter Games -Does not move all over the table -Don't need a silly Mousepad -Hand and wrist stay comfortable
Cons: -Less than 1000 DPI -Still a little overpriced to be so outdated -Logitech Drivers are the same for the last 3 years
Overall Review: This Series of Trackball was my Exclusive Gaming solution for over 8 years. I first purchased one of the older white ones back in 1996 and used it for over 4 years because the "Pin-Point Accuracy in Shooter Games!" Especially back in the day of smaller screens, DOS, and Windows 98 based games. I then upgraded to the New Grey version a couple of years ago, but did not like it at first. This one feels smaller and sits higher than the first series. I have even owned the Wireless Versions of both the Old Series and the New. Both work great Overall I still consider this one one the best Mouse Solutions ever made. But Logitech has failed to update this mouse with Higher DPI, More Buttons, and Better Drivers for todays Bigger Screens, High-Speed Graphics, and Fast Paced Games. So I bailed out 2 years ago for the Logitech G-5 7-Button Gaming Mouse. This is still a great mouse for designers and editors in the workplace. That is a Target Audience anyway.
Great, cheap, and Does its Job!
Pros: -Price -6 Feet -Gold plated -Quality construction
Cons: -None to think of
Overall Review: This is a great HDMI cable for people with multiple devices and on a budget. I have purchased over 20 of these so far, 5 five me and the rest for co-workers and friends. They make great Stocking Stuffers too. I have 5 for me. 4 of them are hooked up full time and 1 is used for the road with ASUS G-51 Laptop when I stay in Hotels that have an LCD TV in the room. Can't beat this price. I was ordering these when HDMI cables were overpriced in stores.
Great Toolkit, but have seen cheaper ones with a hard case.
Pros: -Comes with "Too Many" tools for the average system builder -Each piece is made well -The BITS are good quality & hold up when using a drill -The pliers are spring load and great quality
Cons: -The case is not a hard case like other brands -The case does not have any room for add on tools you might have -Becomes dis-organized very easy inside
Overall Review: I gave 5 eggs because it is a great little all in one case. Its comes with everything you will ever need need for system building, but its actually overkill for most people. There is a lot of stuff in here you will never use. There are however similar sets out there, some cheaper, that come with a hard case instead of this soft case. There are also smaller cases from Rosewill that have about 30 pieces that are cheaper and more practical for the average builder. Either way this is a great set to own.
