Excellent, Low Priced HDD

Seagate Momentus 7200.4 ST9250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive
Seagate Momentus 7200.4 ST9250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Super fast seek time, Large Cache, Low price, Long life

Cons: None so far, my 6 Seagate Hard Drives have outlasted all Western Digital drives that I have bought, even after years of torture testing (My external drive and laptop went on deployment with me multiple times while I was in the military. They also survived the high temperatures of the Iraqi desert for 6 months)

Overall Review: Will buy Seagate again for my next HDD purchase.

Avoid this model...

Lenovo IdeaPad Intel Core i7-3517U 8GB Memory 24GB SSD 750GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 4000 15.6" Thin and Light Ultrabook Windows 8 U510 (59347428)
Lenovo IdeaPad Intel Core i7-3517U 8GB Memory 24GB SSD 750GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 4000 15.6" Thin and Light Ultrabook Windows 8 U510 (59347428)

Pros: Great specs

Cons: The track pad is useless making this Ultraportable Ultrabook neither... If you want to use this computer, prepare to bring a mouse with you wherever you go. The track pad will randomly jump around even if you are nowhere near the computer and is unresponsive when you try to use it. Don't believe me? Go check out the 20+ page post in Lenovo forums about this model. I didn't bother sending this in for repair as the people that sent their computers in had the exact same problem when they got it back from Lenovo.

Overall Review: I was asked by my sister to help find her a replacement computer as her old Dell Studio finally kicked the bucket. She is currently going through college so she wanted something light and powerful; What else better to try then a Ultrabook? I work IT for a large company. We purchase only Lenovo Thinkpads (rather then the Ideapad) which is the IBM business computer side that Lenovo bought a few years back. We have had nothing but success with the W5** series... If you are going to purchase a Lenovo laptop, stick to the Think group and stay away from the Idea group...

Not Ready for Public Release

Logitech Revue With Google TV
Logitech Revue With Google TV

Pros: Aesthetically pleasing

Cons: I first saw the Harmony Link mentioned in Gizmag and immediately fell in love with the idea of being able to control the TV, AV Receiver, and STB via my Android devices. Prior to purchasing the Link I was using a Harmony One controller. I immediately went to Logitech's website and placed the Harmony Link on pre-order and chose the fastest shipping possible (Next Day) in order to get it the day after they released the product... BIG MISTAKE. -210 minutes on hold over the course of 4 days -Countless hours on the forums trying to get the Link to work (I even helped multiple people get theirs working...) -3 Failed Level 2 Tech Support call backs -4 Emails that were never answered (One was even to the VP of Customer Care) -One week of a useless plastic paper weight -One very angry customer

Overall Review: Save your money folks, this device is not ready for public release... Logitech's lack of advertising of the Link should also clue you in to the same sad fact... If you do purchase the device, I hope you do not have to deal with customer support.

Rosewill RCR-102 52-in-1 USB 2.0 3.5" Internal Card Reader w/ USB port

Pros: Easy installation, Flawless operation on all types of cards, Extra USB port is very handy for Flash Drives.

Cons: Empty slots show up as drives adding 4 more devices in my computer, a minor annoyance at the least.

Overall Review: Excellent, solidly built product from Rosewill.
