Pros: Purchased as a combo, so it was on a few dollars to actually own. Cheap and reliable.
Cons: Bulk Packaging - knew that when buying. Did not come with all the ear piece options. Specifically, the standard one that I normally use is missing. A bit disappointed.
Overall Review: I have a previous Jawbone, after 2+ years of daily use it started to give me problems physically. Other than that, it worked great, but the ear piece started to come out of it and it didn't want to sit in my ear properly any longer. I knew I was going to replace it when I busted out the glue to hold it together. Over all, I'd buy again if it works and lasts as expected.
2 out of 2 failed.
Pros: I put the black series in any sudo server setup. If they don't have problems in the first tests / 30 days, they usually run forever.
Cons: Even though I ran HDTune tests multiple times on the bench, the drive failed in the field after being in use less than 5 days. :bummed: I really lost my $ having to replace the drive. I'm hoping the second site I can capture the data, else it's going to be another long night.
Overall Review: Test test test and then test some more. Trust but verify. I'd recommend also copying 20-30 gigs of data to the drive a bunch of times before trusting.
After 2 1/2 years of ownership
Pros: This things is rock solid VMWare Esxi 4.x and updated to 5.x with zero problems. Very knowledgeable and helpful tech support.
Cons: Power supply went bad. 3 year warranty really doesn't mean as much as you think. If you're in the first year of warranty, you will get a cross ship. If not, you can request one, but you may have to ship it in first. If they can repair it, great. If not, they send a replacement. Since I have not heard back about cross shipping in over 48 hours, I may have to RMA it. I don't know if that means shipping the whole unit or just the power supply. Calling usually means ~30+ minutes on hold. In my situation, I can't have my server down all this week.
Overall Review: If you buy this for up time; buy a second power supply.
Pros: Was looking for a more reliable drive. The local tech mall sells build self-branded junk drives that lost a few months. I purchased this because of price and (hoping) performance.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: I plugged this first thing into xbox and setup. It passed the initial performance test and I have copied over 6gb of rock band data! happy! Was not my intention when I purchased it, but happy to know this works for less than half the price of the xbox branded version. Will buy another.
Cons: After reading all the reviews on the OEM Jawbones, I should have known better. Mine flaked out more than once in 48 hours (among other things- see "other thoughts"). Very disappointing. My first jawbone lasted ~3 years with high abuse. I suspected bulk (oem) jawbone would work out fine; but I was wrong. I'm hesitant to spend the money now. Surprised newegg is selling these, considering all the negative reviews.
Overall Review: Here is my original review. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875998319 Problems : earpiece too quiet (my old jawbone was loud enough?!) ; froze ; missing sized ear peices ; appeared used. Spend the extra $ for the retail.
Pros: Great value. Plenty of space for my Blackberry Pearl 8210 (the one w/ wi-fi)
Cons: Three times has lost all data. Card becomes unrecognized by phone and shows as 'not formatted' by windows. Formatting with windows or phone works; but all data is lost! Unfortunately I have lost great bachelor party video and pictures...
Overall Review: I might know where the cause begins. It seems after you get over 2gb of data on the card it starts to act funny. Then suddenly it's all gone. I DO NOT recommend this card.
