Still the king

SAMSUNG 860 EVO Series 2.5" 500GB SATA III V-NAND 3-bit MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-76E500B/AM
SAMSUNG 860 EVO Series 2.5" 500GB SATA III V-NAND 3-bit MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-76E500B/AM

Pros: this is the 3rd Samsung SSD I have purchased. This one went into a Dell laptop that has a Core I3, and I bumped the memory up to 8 GB from 1 GB, and the thing was still slow. Popped in the SSD, reloaded Win 10, and all my files and programs, and now it hums along like it should have to begin with.

Cons: Nine at this point.

Overall Review: Beware of the Dell laptops that make you pop the keyboard off to work on them. It takes special tools, and is just a pain to work on.

Okay case for smaller builds, but......

Corsair Obsidian Series 450D Black Brushed Aluminum and Steel ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case
Corsair Obsidian Series 450D Black Brushed Aluminum and Steel ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case

Pros: Decent case for smaller builds. It's sturdy, and easy to work with. Dual SSD brackets behind the Mobo tray a nice touch.

Cons: Why they didn't include the 2nd HDD tray assembly is beyond me. The bottom HDD tray is a bit difficult, if you have the top 2 populated, the bottom one binds. There is no give since it's bolted to the case, so it makes it impossible to fully insert the HDD because the finger clips stick out. You have to file them down to get the door back on the case. I would have preferred a Vengeance C70. The front panel that covers the fans is a pain to work with. I only stays on if the case is in the upright position. Not how I would have designed it. The magnets are not strong enough to keep it positioned.

Overall Review: Spend the extra money and move up to the 750D Airflow.

Best tower cooler on the market

Enermax ETS-T50 Axe ARGB CPU Air Cooler, 230W+ TDP for Intel/ AMD Universal Socket, AM4 & AM5 / LGA 1700/1200/1151, 5 Direct Contact Heat Pipes, 120mm PWM Fan - AM5 & LGA1700 Ready
Enermax ETS-T50 Axe ARGB CPU Air Cooler, 230W+ TDP for Intel/ AMD Universal Socket, AM4 & AM5 / LGA 1700/1200/1151, 5 Direct Contact Heat Pipes, 120mm PWM Fan - AM5 & LGA1700 Ready

Pros: I currently own 3 of these and they are great. I put a PWM fan at my exhaust and keep both the tower and exhaust fan on full power and they keep my processor temps just as low as an AIO ever did. They accommodate any tall memory (I use both Corsair Dominator and Vengeance ARGB). This unit is much easier and more intuitive to install than the ETS-T40.

Cons: Only one: they did not include an extra set of foam pads that stick on the fan clip screws. These pads prevent rattling, and it's nice to have an extra set if I need to change the fan out to fit a particular build(i.e. one that's not ARGB, but static in color). Luckily I had some from a ETS-T40 that I never used.

Overall Review: Plan on buying again as needed.

Great controller, high capacity

1ST PC CORP. FC-FC9B 4 Lamptron Channel Throttle Control Operation Fan Controller, 50w Per Channel, Available 7 Led Colors
1ST PC CORP. FC-FC9B 4 Lamptron Channel Throttle Control Operation Fan Controller, 50w Per Channel, Available 7 Led Colors

Pros: High capacity, can handle plenty of fans, you can change LED to match static LED's (it's not ARGB). I own 2, and had no issues with either of them.

Cons: NONE. Just be careful moving the jumper to adjust the LED color, it's a tight fit, I used a pair of plastic tweezers.

Overall Review: If you have any doubts about the unit, I would recommend testing your fan set up with a PSU tester prior to connecting it to your motherboard. I use an old Enermax analog PSU tester, and plug the main 24 mobo connection + the 8 pin Mobo additional power connection into the tester and then connect the 3 molex to the controller and test the unit. I have an older OCZ PSU I normally use to test it, and like I said, I've not had an issue with either of my 2 controllers.

Shoddy Customer Service

CORSAIR GS series GS800 800 W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready
CORSAIR GS series GS800 800 W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Unit still runs after a year and a half. Normally have had better than good luck with Corsair products. The low egg rating does not reflect Newegg at all, I have nothing but good things to say about Newegg in the 8+years I have been ordering from them.

Cons: I have the previous model to this one, and after a little more than a year, the switch that controls the led light function has gone out. Instead of sending me a new .50 cent switch, Corsair wants me to completely take apart my system and send in the whole PS unit and have a new one sent out. To me, this is not a viable option, not to mention that the reviews of the new GS800 have been less than stellar. I am going to escalate my issue, and hopefully it will get resolved, but as it stands, Corsairs customer service and tech support is not on my Christmas card list.

Overall Review: I have an OCZ gamestream 700 that has been in constant use for over 5 years, and have had no issue with the LED functions in it. I am surprised that Corsair's LED function went out so quickly.

3 pack!

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 3-Pack for System Builders
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 3-Pack for System Builders

Pros: This is to the person who said they got this at Micro Center for $139.99. What you got is a single machine builder pack, this is a 3 pack. I work there in the KC store, so I am familiar with the pricing on all the various MSW versions and system builder packs.

Cons: I never had an issue with Vista either, so this is not much of a step up.

Overall Review: Not happy that with each iteration of windows, I keep losing games. Seems like I have to keep a machine around with each version going back to XP(a few Win 98 games too) just to be able to play old games that still make me chuckle.

Great communication, A+++ seller

Purchased mobo to replace a DOA I purchased from a different site. Connected, powered up, and worked great. If this is how they treat all their refurbs, I would definitely buy from them again.
