Rocky start, running smoothly now
Pros: The board is gorgeous, there is no question there. Packed with features as described, RGB lighting is a great touch. Ran my Broadwell i7-6900k right out of the package without requiring a BIOS update. Debated between this and the MSI Godlike, but I was finally sold by the numerous on board features - switches to turn off PCI lanes and DIMM slots is a huge plus, and the Q-Codes are far more detailed than what MSI offers.
Cons: Positives aside, there were definitely some challenges encountered during setup. First and foremost, be aware that there is a large pre-POST time required, as many others have pointed out. Using factory settings, I clocked approximately 15-20 second before even hitting the BIOS splash screen. There are some tweaks that can be made to help, but be aware of this if you are concerned about boot times. I am running a Samsung 950 m.2. drive, so the actual boot time between BIOS and windows screen is around 5 seconds. Additionally, I had numerous problems with MCE BSODs. After scouring forums, this seems to be another somewhat common problem, and it is also something I struggled with when using the previous RIVE mobo.
Overall Review: Lots of improvements over the Rampage V Extreme, you will definitely be happy with the upgrade.
Failed after a year...
Pros: *Seemed to run okay at first
Cons: *Very time consuming to set up and install *Didn't notice massive temp drops after installation (<5 deg C) *Over time, the card temperature increased more and more...eventually the card failed and had to replace
Overall Review: Good idea, but for such complexity it's probably much more effective just to water cool
