Comments: Although I cannot speak for this drive since it is supposedly a "NEW" model, I would say that I am very disappointed with their previous model. I have NEVER had a drive fail that I was still using. My IBM 80 gig gave up the ghost without so much as minimal cry for help nothing from SMART. One day I was using it the next day NOTHING Bios wouldnt detect it & it wouldnt even spin up. I would be very cautious in buying this series of drive again. Will RMA & see what happens but some data is lost forever. And as for the people with the Fan fetish I had a HUGE Fan blowing directly on the drive & I checked the internal drive temp occasionally & it was never in the danger zone. Drive was very Fast and Quiet Loved that, Hated losing my stuff ;(
