Runs hot? Maybe not.2/9/2021 3:19:25 PM

Pros: It's a beast! Yes at first it was running warm. Idled at 58c, gamed Doom Eternal at 71c, and Cinebench at 81c. Then I made some adjustments in the bios. I set the vcore to manual with an offset of -.16. Then I set the LLC to Medium. My Motherboard is the ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING. It only b has 5 LLC setting including Auto. Medium is second from lowest. I should mention the first thing I did when fired it up was set the ram timing to 3600mhz. Anyway, it took a few tries lowering the offset till i got down to - .16 \ Cinebench stayed the same at 81c. Which is ok cause the top temp for the cpu is 90c, which I DO NOT recommend. However gaming Doom Eternal went from 71c to 68c. The Idle went from 58c to...

Overall Review: Very Happy with this CPU

Razers Edge9/18/2020 6:02:19 PM

Pros: Keystrokes are quick and precise. Gamed a few hours and found I like the Orange Mechanical Switches better then the cherry MX reds on my old keyboard. Shipped from China and only took 4 days to get here.

Cons: A little pricey, but for the quality i think it is worth it.

Overall Review: I would recommend it.

Excellent6/8/2020 8:36:20 AM

Pros: Really tames the temps on my Ryzen 3700x. New build with temps in the 50s at idle with a somewhat high vcore at around 1.45v . Even after lowering the vcore to 1.35(completely stable) it would still idle around 50c. Now at idle it sits around 35c, while gaming 65c(was 75c+).

Cons: None

Overall Review: None

Nice Board5/23/2020 5:50:05 AM

Pros: My 3700x fired right up. The board came with the latest bios installed.

Cons: Not really a con but there is a learning curve involved for overclocking if you have been intel for a while. While I learn this bios I will not be overclocking.

Overall Review: Continuing the above, I had to set the memory speed and timings manually. Was not much of a hassle. Also the cpu voltage was set too high so I gave it an offset of minus 0.1. Aside from the fact that it cooled the cpu down a bit, it is completely stable at 1.35+_ as opposed to the 1.45+ for the high it was set at. Anyway the board is stable at this early stage and I would highly recommend this pairing.

First M2 3.0 x411/1/2018 3:47:26 AM

Pros: Edit. Original post 8/11/2018. See Cons Pretty fast. Decided to do fresh install instead of cloning the drive. Took all of 3 minutes 15 seconds to get to Cortana. Previous best was about 10 minutes with a regular ssd. Install was off a 2.0 usb. Oh ya center of my system is an i5 8600k@5.0ghz. That may have helped slightly with the install speed.

Cons: This is an edit. Have owned for 3 months. While I still like the speed it gives me, I have noticed that it has degraded 2%. Retiring 10.24gb in 3 months seems kind of fast. I have come no where near to filling it up either. Because of this I have lowered my rating from 5 to 3 stars. No way it should be degrading this fast. I have a couple ssd I now use for storage that are 3 and five years. both of them are above 90%.

Overall Review: Ordered Thursday using free shipping and received Saturday afternoon. Two days, not bad.

Works like a new one.7/27/2018 8:21:20 AM

Pros: Keeps my i5 6600k@4.5ghz nice and cool at about 60c while gaming. Very quiet operation. This is an edit. Have now owned for 1 year 3 months. Keeps my 8600k@5.0ghz in the 70s while gaming titles such as Battlefield 1. Still works like new. Have never had any problems

Cons: none

Overall Review: Don't bother with Corsair cue. The software is not good for AIO. Stick with Corsair Link, even though they seem not to be updating it anymore.

Works Great6/30/2018 1:08:06 PM

Pros: Does what it's supposed to do.

Cons: Clips hard to attach. They have a bow in them. Straightened the bow and they clipped on nice and snug with little effort. Padding cover on the blue side is a bit hard to peel off.

Overall Review: My M2 ssd was hitting above 70 which would throttle it. Max operating temp is 70c so I decided to try this product. With this installed on the drive, the max temp I have seen is 59c. This was while stressing the drive at full load. At idle it sits around 38, and sometimes a little less. Before at idle would sit at 48c. Despite the problems I had putting it together, it is well worth the effort. That is why it gets 5 stars.

First M25/4/2018 3:37:58 PM

Pros: 3rd ssd from Crucial. As the title says, first M2. Installed and was immediately recognized on my MSI z370 sli plus mb. Did not need a firmware update. Acronis cloning software from the Crucial site did a good job.

Cons: None

Overall Review: This is my 3rd Crucial ssd. None have ever failed me. All 3 are still in my current computer including the first which was an M500 CT240 I bought 4years back, and now use to store pictures, music, and programs. My next M2 is going to be a PCI-Express 3.0 x4. Too bad Crucial doesn't make them. I would buy that from them also. Oh ya, they're so tiny. Also was nice to free up a little space in the back of my case.

Another Flawless MSI install12/4/2017 5:19:13 AM

Pros: As the title says. Install went easy. Fired right up. Recognized my ssds and my disk drive. Fresh install of 10 was fast. Recognized my memory that was originally on a z170mb, then a z270mb. Easy to overclock memory in the bios, as it was on my last MSI mb. My manual cpu overclock was also flawless. got my i5 8600k to 5.0 on the low vcore of 1.325, and LLC set at 5. Of course all cpus are different so maybe I just got a good one.

Cons: RGB lighting is kind of weak on this mb. Mostly hidden by my cooler up top and my graphics card. I did expect that however, and it does not matter. So really it is not a con.

Overall Review: Could not be happier.

Have I said wow yet? 3rd edit5/25/2017 11:03:54 PM

Pros: Bought at the end of November. no problems. This car destroys every game I throw at it at 1440p on the highest settings. It blows away the framerates I got on my old R9 290x. Put it through it's paces on a few different games the fps jump is huge. Of course every game plays at max settings. It also runs cool. 62c was the max temp i saw. The RBG lighting is interesting but i think i will keep it one color or lack of(white). This card is beautiful and powerful. Got it on sale for 400 with a 20 dollar rebate....and the game. What a great deal on a great card.

Cons: none

Overall Review: Edit 3 Anyone that buys computer hardware should know that you always download the latest software from the manufactures website. More often then not the drivers on the disk that comes with it is out of date. End of edit. The boost clock in OC mode is now 1978mhz. That is a lot higher then the advertised 1797mhz. I stress this is not a manual overclock. This is using MSI gaming app. Which you also use to change the lighting on the video card, along with some other stuff. Can I give this card 10 eggs instead of 5

Flawless Installation4/21/2017 3:51:07 AM

Pros: As the title says. Windows installed fast off my usb stick. My digital entitlement from Windows 10 was recognized on the new motherboard activating Windows. This is a nice looking motherboard in my Fractal Design C case, also bought here. The sound is vastly improved over my old z170mb. Startup is very fast.

Cons: none

Pleasantly Surprised4/12/2017 12:55:55 PM

Pros: Booted first try. Recognized memory with correct speed and timings. Also recognized all other peripherals. Final Edit...It has been over a year now and has no issues. My 6600k is AsRock solid at 4.5ghz. Also works great with W 10. One of the people that reviewed this mb said it does not work with Windows 7. He was incorrect. If you follow the instructions on the AsRock site you will learn how to do this. It is not AsRocks fault that some people are having problems. When Intel made this generation of cpus they left off instruction sets for usb 2.0(not sure if this is the correct way to say this). Anyway, this means that since Windows 7 does not have 3.0 usb drivers you have to create a usb version of windows 7 adding the 3.0 driver, which you can get on AsRocks website. The instructions on how to do this are VERY clear on the motherboards page at AsRock.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Paired with GSkill 16gb ddr4 2400 memory, an i5 6600k and my MSI 1070 quicksilver.

Nice Power Supply9/3/2016 11:08:12 AM

Installed easy8/9/2016 11:49:36 AM

Pros: Installed and cloned without any problems. Cloning only took 8 minutes for about 100gb of data using Acronis True Image software that is free with this purchase.

Cons: none

Overall Review: This is my 3rd Crucial ssd. i have never had any problems with them. This one is installed on an Asrock 170 Pro4S LGA 1151 mb with an i56600k and 16gb of memory. It is an upgrade with 510 Sequential Write over my M500 which had 250 Sequential Write, and about 33gb more usable space.

Garbage8/23/2015 2:00:21 AM

Pros: None

Cons: Front side button sometimes does not work. Owned less then 2 months. Back side button position awkward to use. Left click side to side loose.

Overall Review: Paid 57 dollars for a mouse that is broken less then 2 months in. Disabled shut-in on limited income. Can't return to Newegg, past 30 days. Am tossing in garbage and will use old mouse that lasted me 4 years and still has some life left. Bought this because I had heard good things about it. Bad purchase. I rarely make a 1 egg review. This one deserves it.

Pros: Just got this earlier today. Ran memtest. Came back no errors.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Upgrade from 4 2gb sticks at 8 total. Had to set the speed and timings manually. This is with all memory on AMD systems. Know my bios well. No problems. So far so good2/5/2015 12:16:44 PM

Pros: Runs the games I am currently playing on max settings smoothly(no stutter) at 1080p with decent framerates. FarCry 4, BF 4, and Crysis 3, which I had but never played before. I am using the fairly new Omega drivers. from AMD.

Cons: The gaming app does not work correctly for me. It would not go from 1030mhz to 1040 mhz. I checked the config file and 1040mhz was not even in the profile. I could not add it to the profile. This was the gaming app on the disk . The latest from MSI would not even load. Kept getting does not support this application error.

Overall Review: I don't think 10mhz would make much of a difference anyways. This card runs fine at 1030mhz which is the default setting at load. Temps are reasonable 74c was the max I recorded, in a warm room. That was while playing Crysis 3. Max was 65c playing BF 4 MSI afterburner works fine. I am using the newest version. Just using it for framerate and temp monitoring, though I'm sure at some point I will record some gameplay. I have no intention on overclocking this card. I may however buy a second one for crossfire at a later date. At this point I still give it 5 eggs as I really don't care that the gaming app did not work for me correctly. Gamers Delight12/5/2014 8:38:54 AM

Pros: Just received this yesterday. Played a 12 hour BF4 marathon. Very comfortable. This is my first try with a 7.1 headset. I was amazed how pinpoint the directional is. Really like the bing badda booms. According to my friends on teamspeak, the microphone comes through crystal clear. Played a little Pink Floyd to check out the music end. Sounds great. Rented a HD movie from another site to see how they sound and they sound great.

Cons: none

Overall Review: Have not messed with the EQ settings yet. I'm sure i will for music. Pretty satisfied for gaming and movies. Downloading the software from Corsair was easy. did it right after i ordered the headset.

cools good but....10/8/2014 8:16:46 AM

Pros: Took my FX 8350 to 4600ghz at load playing BF4 max temp 42c on load screen goes to 55c Then backs down to the previously mentioned temp of 42c. socket max temp 56c. At idle or low volume usage, the cpu averages around 22c. This is in a warm room. Bought on sale for $75

Cons: The male Y fan connector is not in the box. Instead they put in a totally useless female Y connector. Because of this I had to connect the radiator fans to the motherboard, instead of the top the pump. Can not be controlled by corsair link. 4 of the washers for the fan screws are missing. Had to use 4 from my old design H60.

Overall Review: I put in a ticket with corsair to get the correct MALE Y connector. Not sure that really matters since with the overclock I probably would not want to lower either the fans speed or the pump speed

Dear customer, Thank you for the review, we're sorry that there is some confusion with the Y cable that came with your cooler. We understand how it could look like a female connector, all you need to do is remove the protective black plastic sleeves to reveal the 4 pins. Pros: Inexpensive, large, bright, no dead pixels. The colors are beautiful, vibrant.

Cons: None so far. Hopefully to stay this way.

Overall Review: Knocks my 1 year old Asus 24 inch out of the water. and that is a great monitor. Also my frame rate seems to be a little higher in BF4. I am not sure why that is. Both BF4 and Reaper of Souls, play very smooth, No lag at all. This really surprised me. A very pleasant surprise. Bought it for gaming. Very good choice. Duel monitors...fun
