Overall Review: so i've been a ubuntu user for the past four years and in fact built my last desktop using this site and loved the experience. i've also picked up a number of used acer c7 chromebooks for light web browsing and due to the fact that i can throw them in my bag and not really worry if i break them or not. however, my boss recently needed me to do some work on quick books so i felt the need to pick up a new windows machine (my last was an ibm thinkpad t60 that didn't even have internal wi-fi). for $500 (refurb) this thing is a work of beauty. i have no complaints and am even enjoying the window 8(.1) experience. since i'm used to the chiclet keys from my c7 experience, i have no complaints about them at all (and they're back lit too!!). the hdd, though not solid state it speedy and performs all the tasks that i require admirably. and the screen...most screens i found in this price range had 1366x768 resolution. this screen is a sight to behold! the lack of an optical dive is no problem since i can't remember the last time that i actually used a cd/dvd/blu-ray. tl;dr: beautiful, buy before they are gone.
