Pros: This perfectly heats water to the exact temperature to make all your favorite types of tea. I have to say it's very well made and very easy to use (press your tea, hit start). The LEDs on the unit are very nice lighting up exactly what you want and the are not annoying (blinding). This is a very quiet tea kettle as you don't really hear the water boiling much before it goes off. The kettle is decently heavy and feels really good in the hand (weighted well).
Hands down this is one of the best electric tea kettles I've ever used. Well worth the price!
Cons: The only Con so far... which isn't really even a con, but could be.... is that the "ready" alarm is soft. I would think that if you had this going in another room with the TV on you might not hear it. I'm almost always in the room where I'm making tea so it's not an issue...but it's not the loudest thing.
Pros: You really can't beat the price of these rebadged Hitachi drives. I ordered 5 of them to my secondary server. Ran through the thorough read/write every sector and none failed. So pretty happy about that... especially with Newegg's spotty shipping of more than a single HD.
Great speeds for a 3TB HD. Average read & writing was 175MB down to 124MB on my Areca ARC-1880ix-24. I won't complain about those speeds off these drives. Also no issues with dropping out of the raid configuration, so these are the typical Hitachi RAID friendly drives.
These don't make a ton of noise (no more than the other hitachi and WD that I use) and don't seem to generate the heat that I was honestly expecting from them.
Cons: Drive itself... None at the moment as all 5 work.
Only grip could be that the price should be set lower all the time. Got them on sale and it was worth it. Will have to wait till they go on sale again to get some more.
Newegg shipping. Got the standard half ripped styrofoam holding 4 of them with a single sheet of bubble wrap then the 5th one in a single enclosure cardboard box with a single piece of bubble wrap. Then wrap that all in paper streamed box filler... and there you have it. Honestly a disaster if the shipping company is having a bad day. All they had to do was do two or three wraps of bubble wrap and I would've been much happier. Reguardless, this time all the drives made it to me in working order.
Pros: Very nice and solid construction. Outer case has a very solid feeling to it.
The lights on the drives are green and blue...the green lights up nicely, not too bright.
The HD trays are well designed and feel okay (not up to server HD trays...but I wasn't expecting that and nor should anyone at this price).
Perfect fit in 3 5.25" bays (I was worried looking at it that it would be really snug), but it fit perfect.
Moves a lot of air through the HD bays (all bays), no way a HD is over heating in it (under normal circumstances).
Over all, I have to say if anyone is looking for a nice hot swappable SATA/SAS container, this one is darn good.
Cons: Blue (access) LED could be a little it brighter, it's Dim to me.
SATA ports on the back could be labeled 1 - 4 or something so you don't have to figure out which is which.
Can't use locking Sata cables (well you can, but only two), due to the sata ports being right next to each other).
Overall Review: The Fan moves some air and can be replaced with a quieter one if you want. I found out that they connect the fan directly to the 2 power supply inputs, I moved the connector to the "on board" fan connection and you can use the jumper to set Max speed or Min speed. I set it to min and can barely hear it over the other fans in the system (blends right in on mine), but still feels like it moves a decent bit of air.
Might have been nice for some people if they had one with a 4port sata controller and cables added with it...!?!? Me personally I like to buy my own, so this worked out great attached to a SI 3124 (soon to be 3ware).
Pros: Good laptop, nice and quick. Looks good and functions well. No complaints.
Cons: The screen, I wish I would've gotten a 1920x1080 screen. Mine came with the advertised size, which while nothing wrong with it, everything seems really BIG because I can't get a small enough resolution.
Vista and all the software installed, the laptop was really slow. I actually didn't think I even had a 2.4GHz processor and wondered what was wrong. Easy to correct with Windows 7.
Overall Review: Just a shame that with just buying it I get a 4 month old laptop with the original screen and the non-upgraded processor. You wait and save for something like this and you see the reviews of people getting "better than expected" versions and you sort of pray and hope to get the same. Disappointing when you don't. But nothing you can do. I think I would've kept looking for another laptop with a better screen had I known ahead of time.
Again though, I got what was advertised, so I can't complain tooo much.
Just don't purchase this if you are hoping to get a better Processor and better resolution screen.
Pros: Definitely seems like a really well created board.
Cons: I have yet to get anything to happen to the board (owned it for a month, but only got the processor a few days ago). Only thing I can get the board to do is display CPU_Init on LCD. Tried various things to get something from either bios, but to no avail.
Overall Review: Will write a good and thorough review if I can ever get the board to work with my Q9650 and Patriot memory.
Comments: I know some people would complain because of the two lines. At first when I got it, first thing I noticed was how AMAZING the colors were and how crystal clear everything was (as well has how bright it was). Second thing I noticed was the lines. I couldn't decide if I was going to like them or not... However, if you really look for them, they are going to be there, if you ignore the lines and give yourself some time (like a week or so and just "enjoy" the monitor), you won't notice them at all. I find myself forgetting about them completely (then every once in a while I'll see them an go, oh there they are!)
If you want the BEST picture you can probably see on a CRT (and it's a truly flat picture) this is the monitor, I'd buy another just to keep incase this one breaks! Works perfectly well with everything I've thrown at it, including watching HD-DVD stuff. ;)
Only issue I've had with the monitor is every once in a while when I turn it on, all the colors are messed up. I simply degauss, or turn it off and back on and it's all fixed. I think though this is due to a rear surround speaker sitting on my shelf about 2' from the monitor (it's an unshielded speaker). But this only has happened 3 times since I got it three months ago.
If you are like me and have any doubts or aren't sure, let me tell you that I am completely 100% satisfied with this monitor. I was very leary buying a monitor that I had never seen, but it turned out to be my best purchase! Definitely download the software from NEC's site, that is the best thing to tweak this monitor to perfection.
As always, Newegg.com rocks with shipping, got here fast and there was only a few marks on the shipping box. That's what I was worried about -- damage during shipping, but that was not the case.
Do yourself a favor and shell out a few extra bucks as this is the best 19" monitor on the market.
