Single CPU cmputers only
Pros: Very Fast, 12 threads
Cons: Can't run in a dual CPU setup
Overall Review: I bought two of these hoping to put into a dual CPU tyan board. Unfortunately these CPUs are not "licensed" by intel to run two of them in one system, so only one CPU would ever show up in the system. Because I didn't do my research I am stuck with 2 $1,000 CPUs that I can't use, but that is my fault. Don't make the same mistake.
Great hardware, support not so much
Pros: Very fast, runs DDWRT very well, great signal
Cons: When I boot up the router there is an 80-90% chance it won't find my WAN IP and connection. After changing settings that shouldn't matter multiple times, i eventually found that I just have to reboot it till it works. Every time it loses power or must reboot I have to go through the same process. But once it is up, it is fine till the next reboot. I tried to contact customer service, but have not heard back from them in over 2 months.
Quicker than expected and very reliable
Pros: I have ordered over 300 of these in the last 2 years and have had only one of them give me any issues. They perform better than the Samsung Evos that we have tried, but not quite as well as the Samsung Pro drives. They just work, and they work well. They work in laptops, desktops, RAID systems, and external enclosures with no issues.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I highly recommend these drives, unless I need more than 480GB, I only buy the eco3 drives.
Solid motherboard, no problems
Pros: Easy to use. Works as it should
Cons: None
Overall Review: Great board, no issues whatsoever. I have only purchased 7 or so of these boards, but over the last year, not one has given me any problems. They just work.
Great Router, UI isn't great
Pros: Fast. It is definitely gigabit on the WAN and 4 switch ports. Set up was easy
Cons: UI is not great. Slow to work with and every update requires a 15 second update period. Also very small. If it could adjust based on your screen size that would make it much easier, but it appears to be set up for 1024x768 which makes navigation even harder.
Powerful network printer
Pros: Linux and Windows support. Fast, cheap printing cost, very high quality black and white and color
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: We put these in our research labs at a University. Xerox is our favorite choice because of the great support for multiple operating systems, especially multiple flavors of linux. As with most printers, the starter cartridges that come with the printer run out quickly, but the full cartridges (even remanufactured ones) last a very long time and keep printing costs quite low overall. Combine that with the reliability we have seen from the 4 of these we have so far, 5 stars is an easy decision.
