pricey and worth it
Pros: Saying this screen is pretty is like saying bacon is good. It's not a lie, but it doesn't convey the entire truth either. I've had this monitor for about 5 months now, and I still love it like day 1. 144hz is a significant and noticeable upgrade from 60, but the real shining star is the 2560x1440 pixel density. Freesync works like a charm (make sure you've updated your drivers, you should get a prompt to enable freesync [it's not on by default] when you first turn it on. Speaking of Freesync,, I believe this monitor is rated to 40hz for freesync but (and this is some serious 'bro-science' coming at ya) I rarely notice tearing even into the 20's (fps)
Cons: Not so much a Con, but someting you should consider; -2560*1440 is a Lot more pixels than a 1080p screen. if you're expecting to run games at full quality (or higher with moded textures) AND want to take advantage of 144fps, you better have a rig forged in the fires of Hades. That said, you don't have to use it to it's maximum potential every moment to enjoy it. -You're gunna wanna turn the brightness down when ya first get it, it's like a car headlight in your face.
Overall Review: This was more than I wanted to spend on a Monitor frankly, but when you consider it's the part of the computer you interact with the most I feel it was a worthwhile investment.
Rock Solid
Pros: This PS has been running my computer nearly 24/7 for 11+mo's with an overclocked cpu/gpu without a single hiccup. The reviews on known repeatable PS reviewers are great. read the jonnyguru review and try not to buy it. The 0db fan is pretty amazing, I've almost never seen it go on, and it's unbearable over the gpu when it does.
Cons: The over-the-top felt "crown royal" style bag it comes in doesn't seem to make my friends laugh the way it does me.
Overall Review: Some reviews and videos note a 3 year warranty, at the time I bought mine, it was 5 years. Some review I saw showed ugly unfinished braided cables, these appear to have been early or prototype review units, the model i received had full black cables (no colored ends)
ya gotta do the homework
Pros: Beautiful board, great features
Cons: None yet
Overall Review: So people seem to be having difficulty with this board, at least a few people have noted they are trying to get the board to work with their shiny new Kaveri a10-7850k's... this will NOT work out of the box. the board was made before Kaveri came out, it will support it, but you must first update the BIOS from it's stock F2, to the newest version, and to do so, you must use a APU that is compatable with the F2 version. I booted mine using an a6-5300, installed win 8.1, and then updated the bios through gigabytes @bios utility. Now up and running on Kaveri and looking baller.
