Pros: -Good display -Has a button to turn on the power supply instead of automatically turning on when you plug the supply in or flip the switch. -Will allow testing of 8P pci-e connector unlike most of the others that only test 6P pci-3. -The cables all plug in easily.

Cons: The pictures on new egg and description are slightly off. The tester I received did not have an aluminum case. Also the writing on the front was not printed on, it was molded into the plastic case so it makes it a little hard to read.

Overall Review: Despite the differences in the look and build materials I would definitely recommend getting this tester.

Pros: Cheap, Semi modular, gave me an excuse to get a power supply tester I had been looking at.

Cons: I am building a pc for a friend and this was the power supply that was decided on. I have used the 630 watt one without any problems, but this one was a completely different story. After it was installed I powered up the pc, all the fans, lights, drives turned on and worked fine, but it would not post. After troubleshooting for some time I found out that the 8P connector that attaches to the board for the CPU was dead. Everything else was giving out good voltage but that leg of the power supply. To double check I installed a known good power supply and the machine went through post just fine. I have learned my lesson. In this case I guess you do get what you pay for. Now it is time to start the RMA process and put the build on hold.
