Solid switch for basic needs
Pros: Easy out of the box installation. It's a switch, you plug it in, it works.
Cons: None noted
Overall Review: I bought this to plug and play to expand my office ports to my router without running more patch cords. Worked perfect.
Good but not quite all the way
Comments: Solid unit, but the USB KVM still has its issues. My custom PC and my Dell have issues recognizing my USB mouse and keyboard when attached via KVM. The unit also gets pretty hot when left on for long periods of time. The DVI part is top notch though. Stick with PS2 devices and you should be good to go.
HUGE
Pros: If this doesn't cool you CPU, I don't know what will
Cons: Instructions are bad It is SO big that it covered two DRAM slots and a PCIe slot on my MoBo Mount is easy to put on but very difficult to tighten if you MoBo is already in your case
Overall Review: Great cooler. No doubt there, but the size is a concern. When I saw the pic on Newegg, I thought it was much smaller. Make not mistake it's as big as your fist. Just keep that in mind when buying.
Bad shadows from all angles and NOT for gamers
Pros: It's big and it's cheap. I thought it had to be too good to be true. For basic windows work and internet browsing it is amazing. Great size. I bought two and put them side by side and thought I became part of the internet. Yes, they go blue when they powersave, yes HDMI means you don't see anything until windows starts but the size and price make this hard to pass up.
Cons: If you're not looking directly at it, it has some serious shadowing problems. Being so big, if I slouched the top would discolor. My current monitor (a 20.1" WS Dell) looks sharp from ANY angle. The Viewsonic was pale blue and almost impossible to see when I stood up from my desk. I hoped I'd get used to it, but I didn't and I returned them both. I'm now looking at another Dell in a smaller size. The other major issue was with gaming. I'm a casual gamer and although the size was brilliant, the pixelation was coarse and the shadows were harsh. I got my head handed to me in counter-strike and company of heroes looked like a dark cloud had set in. I tried tweaking it (had to set the brightness to 50% because anything more and the whites would overpower me), but to no avail. Not good for gamers.
Overall Review: I do think that the non-gamer who doesn't mind not being able to clearly see the screen unless they are sitting (straight) at their desk will LOVE this monitor. The rest of us will pass.
NOT FOR GAME SERVER HOSTING
Pros: Solid router with brilliant interface for configuring a home network for use with the internet. If you are a gamer and share your connection with the rest of the househould, this is a great router. The gamefuel works nicely and throttles things that might interfere with your gaming.
Cons: DO NOT HOST A SERVER BEHIND THIS ROUTER. We're a technical clan full of geeks and could not get this thing to work efficiently. It ran well for up to 6 people coming into the server but lagged and dropped packets like crazy after you went over that. The best we could ascertain is that the prioritization software works brilliantly for outbound, but can't handle the high-volume in-bound. If you host a game server or other high traffic server, search elsewhere or you will be disappointed.
It's Blue!
Comments: Needed RAM and GeIL had a great price, plus it was blue to match my case and motherboard. Solid performance and a reliable product. Highly recommended.
