Pros: Good board so far. BIOS is easy to navigate.
Cons: On board audio jacks are bad (the left ear gives audio, while the right doesn't; tried different headsets with no change). There are dip switches to amplify audio, but I never noticed a difference in audio levels. However, the pc case audio jacks to motherboard audio interface work well. Board did not like DDR3 Kingston hyper memory. However, the board was stable with G Skill sniper memory.
Overall Review: I'm not deducting an egg because of the audio issue; audio works fine through use of the case audio jacks. Also, pci lanes are avail. for audio expansion cards. For the price, the board does everything I need for gaming.
Pros: Cool case design. Heat dissipation layout is efficient. The penetrator fans work as advertised. Three speeds to choose low, med, and high. Don't connect them to your onboard mobo fan headers; use your power supply if you intend to adjust the fan speed. Black finish looks good.
Cons: Cable management is a bit tricky on the backside. I used a corsair hx750 W power supply and had to remove the optional drive tray to install it. Also, I had to remove the fan guard on the power supply to allow it to sit flush within the case; that's more of an issue with the hx750 fan guard having a convex curve. Not a big fan of panels not having thumbscrews, but the side panel clips seem sturdy enough. The material of the case doesn't seem as robust as other cases I've used. Potential buyers might consider buying an external cd/dvd drive if wanting an optical drive.
Overall Review: I built this for my son for Christmas. Personally, I like the look of the case. Very different from conventional horizontal mobo layouts. I've listed a lot of cons, but overall I'm pleased with the case. The temps with a hyper 212 are steady at 28 degress (cpu) and 30 (mobo). Been building since WIN 3.1 and the days of fdisk with DOS for installing OSs. Would recommend to anyone.
Pros: Excellent board so far. I have had it for a week and love it. I got it for my son because he likes the whole gun theme. BIOS pc health monitor is excellent for giving quick temp readings as well as being very intuitive. I like the fact that this BIOS retains the old school look and feel rather than a graphical user interface. Bezel panel for quick overclocking is convenient. The integrated big foot killer network works as advertised. Same for the integrated sound.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: A bit apprehensive at first because this board had a lot of gun theme stuff to it. I wondered if the performance had been overlooked due to aesthetics but i was wrong. I have finally been able to pry my son away from console games. Its for him but the more I look at it, the more I want one. Pictures and performance desciption do not do it justice. I will reiterate, go for it.
