Pros: Quality good. Passed exhaustive testing with Microsoft memory tests + Memtest memory tests.
Relatively easy to install in Acer Aspire Laptop
Cons: Shipping tracking was sub-optimal. I had very little idea when it would actually turn up on my front porch, and it was largely a matter of luck (50/50 chance) that I got to it before one of the porch thief horde got it.
Overall Review: Satisfied. It's working as it's supposed to without problems.
Cons: Ultra cheapo construction.
It was defective and I returned it for refund, but not before it caused me hours of frustration, aggravation and grief.
I bought it to use with an SSD, which I bought at the same time to replace the worn out HDD in my laptop. When I plugged the SSD into the laptop using the Rosewill cable, Windows gave a message saying it couldn't recognize the device. I thought the new SSD was the problem, so I returned it and received a replacement SSD. I got the same message again when I plugged the replacement SSD in. So now I'm thinking either there's something wrong with the laptop or the Rosewill cable is defective.
So then, I hit on the idea that maybe I could disassemble a Seagate external hard drive I have and use the cable from that. This worked and everything went fine from there on.
This Rosewill cable turned a 3 hr job into a 3 week job. Rosewill trash represents everything I've come to expect from anything that has the label "Made in China" on it.
Overall Review: I would recommend that anyone else avoid this product and any other Rosewill product like the plague, regardless of price.
