Good Buy
Pros: Good value, Large screen size, Clear image - Compared to other computers you get a lot of features/hardware compared to how much you're paying over a netbook for example.
Cons: First and foremost some of the bloat-ware such as software from Wild Tangent and the option to use SkyDrive programs cannot be removed (especially if you upgrade to Windows 8.1). The wireless is very weak. At about 6-8 feet away from the router while still in the same room I drop down to about 3/5 of the available signal strength. Very disappointing if you don't happen to work in the same room as your router.
Overall Review: Had it not been for the value the wireless might have almost been a deal-breaker had I known about it. The addition of Windows 8 makes it more difficult to remove software that is undesired. Overall it's an excellent system for movie watching or just getting work done.
A Fitbit Zip for More $$$
Pros: Appears to be very accurate for a wrist-mounted product, although it counts arm movement as steps when doing other activities.
Cons: -Same functionality as a Fitbit Zip, but more expensive. -Battery only lasts for 24-hours despite product listing claiming it lasts for 7-10 days.
Overall Review: For the money I would probably go for the Fitbit Zip. While the accuracy is improved, I find the constant battery charging to be tedious and more likely to make me forget to wear/use it.
Underwhelming for a "Gaming Laptop"
Pros: Colorful, Large Screen, Illuminated keyboard is nice for dimly lit environments.
Cons: Very slow out of the box despite the technical specs for the system, Windows 10 build update disables the WLAN and color functionality of the keyboard, Lack of updates for the preinstalled hardware/software.
Overall Review: While it's a nice computer to do work on, the painfully slow startup is a buzzkill since you want to just "load & go" on a portable system. In hindsight I probably would have opted for a $300 laptop to play around on since I'm back to my desktop for my gaming needs.
Hit & Miss Buy
Pros: Projects movies and Netflix at reasonably high quality and fairly clear picture.
Cons: No speakers built into the unit. If you were going to stream a movie on a surface for a movie night or something of that nature, you would have to purchase external speakers to make that happen. The battery does not last long enough to watch a whole movie, so you can attempt to leave it charging as you watch a movie to extend the time, but the best you can hope for is about 1.5 hours of viewing time with a full charge.
Overall Review: I found out after the fact that it's supposed to require a supplemental app to function (I wasn't aware of this, nor is it in the instruction manual) which probably explains why the price is so heavily discounted since the app is no longer available for download. The product also will not project images or anything else presumably without the supplemental app.
Good Bang For Your Buck
Pros: The price is very reasonable for the performance and quality of the scanner.
Cons: Includes the scanner driver, but does not include stand-alone scanning software like previous models. You have to provide your own copy of Photoshop or other photo manipulation software.
Overall Review: Still the best value for performance. I might not recommend this to someone as a first scanner, if they aren't familiar with 3rd party applications.
Not bad...
Pros: Reasonably priced, good screen contrast and clarity, lightweight, good battery life.
Cons: Really hate the touchpad, specifically the rocker button. Really hard to push down, so perhaps split into two would be helpful. System restore is incredibly over complicated. It requires you to go into the BIOS to allow you the option to restore, and then you have to follow that... assuming you could figure any of that on your own. Mine had to be restored/reformatted the day I recieved it because it kept losing configuration data between restarts.
Overall Review: A "no-frills" netbook/laptop. If you just want it to surf the net and whatnot it's great, but I wouldn't buy it if you are expecting anything high-performance or precise without an external mouse.
Terrible Customer Service
I contacted the seller because they sent me a bogus tracking number with my order. I've been waiting approximately 1 week for them to respond, and haven't heard a peep. As of right now I don't know if my purchase actually shipped or if they took my money and ran. Will never buy from again.
