Overall Review: Installed this RAM on a cheaper laptop since it only came with 4GB. Took out the oem RAM, installed this and rebooted. Laptop showed 16GB, and I was done. Always happy with Gskill, their stuff just works every time.

Cons: Power button placement, odd choice on the side Flex hinge for tablet mode adds thickness in the back but only noticeable bc it’s so thin to begin with Wish the touch pad had two buttons like my Lenovo thinkpad, but not a deal breaker by any stretch.

Overall Review: Purchased this laptop after returning the Asus laptop which was a slick deal from a few weeks ago. So far, I'm much happier with this purchase. Laptop booted up without issues, switched out of S-mode without problem. Already had 16GB (8GBx2)of dual channel Gskillz ripjaws V DDR-4 2600 speed RAM set (also from Newegg) from the previous purchase. Install was simple, rebooted, looked in the setting, 16GB. Granted it's not 1080p resolution, but hdmi out will hook up to a 1080p no issues. So given the price, I'm happy. New Vega 3 iGPU will play basic games, but this is meant for a highschooler who will hopefully carry this to college for scholastics not gaming. Overall, happy with the purchase. I think I received what I paid for. You can always find something which is just a little bit more but costs just a little more. This suited my needs and my budget, so I’m good. Update 9/4/2019: Still runs great. No issues.
